Considering the supreme court already very clearly ruled that nobody is above the law in State v Lee (1882) and trump didn't offer any compelling arguments to override that ruling other than 'because I wanna', this should be a swift ruling.

All the officers of the government, from the highest to the lowest, are creatures of the law and are bound to obey it. Supreme Court Justices should have term limits, maybe 3-4 election cycles and then you're out.
16 years. That way, they can only serve between 2 to 4 president. They cannot destroy two the three generations. And by only allowing 16 years on the high court, they will be more intune with the law as well as the public interest.

Colorado not only had a right to remove "45" from the ballot after their civil courts found him guilty of insurrection -- they had an OBLIGATION to do so according to the laws of their state and the Constitution ... just as they have an obligation to decide "qualified" or "disqualified" on the issues of age and citizenship.

Agreed. That's why the 14th amendment was added, so that there didn't need to be this overthinking of the thing. Congress already took their action by proposing and passing the law. The president signed it and the states ratified it. It triggers itself, so Colorado is justified. And yes, the president is an officer of the United States. Just look at Article VI Clause 3 of the Constitution regarding having no religious test to run for and hold office. It doesn't specifically name the president either -- it says "all executive and judicial Officers" and "to any Office or public Trust" -- but it is generally accepted in law that it applies to the president.
