Ok so my very first divide song was his og todoroki song scars and I cried it was so good. When I saw he was making another one I was a little sceptical at first. Now that this is here not only did it exceed my expectations. This is sooooooooo much better than the original one. Literally am in awe keep up the amazing work. Before reading, just know that this is a very long comment that talks about my personal take on the instrumental side of the song. Also, we love you Divide, keep up the good work. Can we just take a moment and appreciate the music to this song? I mean, it’s amazing. Mainly because of the MVP’s: The piano, The guitar, and The drum set. First off, the piano. I think the piano is really good for the sentimental stuff, and it can also pitch in for the melody when it wants to, kinda like Todoroki: has two sides to it, one side used more often than the other, if you know what I mean. The guitar, though, is somewhat similar to the piano, in terms of the two sides. However, it really shines when it comes the melody and the really soul-aching lore type stuff, y’know? It just digs deep, adding that nice layer of music on top of the drums. Speaking of which…The drum set represents Shoto’s feelings towards his father: While the drums do sometimes have a quiet, somewhat heartwarming feeling to it (Todoroki trying to accept and forgive Endeavor), it just kinda EXPLODES with this sudden burst of energy (Todoroki unbridled rage for what Endeavor did to him AND his mom). And don’t even get me STARTED on the lyrics. I won’t go into it, since I’ve rambled on long enough about the music. But overall, I just wanna say that this song, and all of Divide Music’s songs are amazing, and the songs have inspired me to watch some of these shows just so I can watch the music Divide makes of them, so I can know all the references and stuff. Ok so my very first divide song was his og todoroki song scars and I cried it was so good. When I saw he was making another one I was a little sceptical at first. Now that this is here not only did it exceed my expectations. This is sooooooooo much better than the original one. Literally am in awe keep up the amazing work. Can't wait for one day to here you on the radio.
Before reading, just know that this is a very long comment that talks about my personal take on the instrumental side of the song. Also, we love you Divide, keep up the good work.
Can we just take a moment and appreciate the music to this song? I mean, it’s amazing. Mainly because of the MVP’s: The piano, The guitar, and The drum set. First off, the piano. I think the piano is really good for the sentimental stuff, and it can also pitch in for the melody when it wants to, kinda like Todoroki: has two sides to it, one side used more often than the other, if you know what I mean. The guitar, though, is somewhat similar to the piano, in terms of the two sides. However, it really shines when it comes the melody and the really soul-aching lore type stuff, y’know? It just digs deep, adding that nice layer of music on top of the drums. Speaking of which…The drum set represents Shoto’s feelings towards his father: While the drums do sometimes have a quiet, somewhat heartwarming feeling to it (Todoroki trying to accept and forgive Endeavor), it just kinda EXPLODES with this sudden burst of energy (Todoroki unbridled rage for what Endeavor did to him AND his mom). And don’t even get me STARTED on the lyrics. I won’t go into it, since I’ve rambled on long enough about the music.
But overall, I just wanna say that this song, and all of Divide Music’s songs are amazing, and the songs have inspired me to watch some of these shows just so I can watch the music Divide makes of them, so I can know all the references and stuff. No joke, that’s what I do. Like Jujutsu Kaisen. Never took an interest until Divide Music posted a video of it. Now, one of my top shows

I loved how your first Todoroki song was soft and heartfelt, and this one is the opposite without being overboard. Somehow they both still cover the same morals and thoughts he had throughout the seasons too, nice touch!

He knows his characters, knows how to delve into their emotions and motivations and come out with a song that can both rock the character it fits and be applied to other scenarios as well. I'm definitely using this particular song for a character I'm writing. This masterpiece fits his personality to a tee. KEEP COMING OUT DIVIDE! YOU'RE AMAZING!
Got here before RUclips notifications and love the rock theme compared to "scars"(divides other todoroki song)(more themed on todoroki's emotions because of endeavor rather than in this where its more about todoroki and after he started using his flames again)
