@artdiaz8837 he held on very well without his quirk still. Had he not been protecting Eri while fighting he could have been a much bigger threat to Overhaul even without a quirk. Like Overhall intentionally targeted Eri when Mirio had his quirk so he couldn't use it. And when Mirio didn't have his quirk it was the same situation. In a straight up fight Mirio is probably the most dangerous person in most situations. Like against Dabi he wouldn't be too great. But against pre buff Shigaraki even without a quirk there's a high chance Mirio would win that.

Not only is Mirio saying that Eri is so unique that she's one in a million, but it also sounds like he's saying that she's the first person he will save to get to his goal of saving 1,000,000 people; i.e. she's #1 in the million.
I like the idea of that. As far along as he is and as active he'd been with his work-study, though, it's extremely doubtful that Eri was the first person he's saved (though maybe the first in such an extreme situation). I think the double is just that she's one of his million of lives to save, not specifically #1.
Mirio is a true hero. The dedication and work he put in to saving one little girl is incredible. Even after losing his quirk and had terrible injuries he still fought for her life. He has the heart of a true hero.

Mirio is what an anime protagonist should be. An underdog story where he chases his goals through effort and determination. He doesn't get some OP power up suddenly or has some OP latent secret. Just grits through his hardships and gets to a point where he is seen as untouchable.

When I first saw the scene I teared up. This scene arguably hit the hardest in the show. The thought of a Hero fighting so desperately to save little Eri, knowing help wouldn't come in time. He was relying on himself, his power. His strength. While not the best animated, it was the most well done.
He sacrificed his quirk to save a single soul, one he had failed to protect... And with that act, an outstanding quirk like Eri's would change the whole world.
Mirio is the man who deserved one for all power.... And he always gave me goosebumps and confidence that i can do something.... And now I'm in my dream college after passing my entrance exam....

Even his "childhood friend" turned into his most aggressively vicious bully, only getting the balls to fight back when he became more determined in his dream. He's even earned the approval of All Might's former allies along with all the past users of OFA.
I'm going to be honest, I love Mirio. He's just so sweet and kindhearted. I love how willing he is to keep smiling, even when he lost his mentor. The fight between him and Overhaul was my favorite scene and I love his brotherly protectiveness over Eri. He didn't only just save her physically but mentally too. Cheers to Lemillion.

Maybe so, but Izuku deserved it as well. Its better izuku has it since the strain of having permeation and OFA would ultimately kill Mirio early.
