You guys do great work. Honestly, the commentary is so descriptive I can listen while I'm driving and still follow along/understand the concept without actively watching the video... I've really enjoyed it this season, well done.
One big stat that is normally a little misleading with Jayden is his sack total. He's gotten better as the season has gone on, but quite a few of his sacks were just him running out of bounds right before the LoS and not throwing it away.
Yep, the Lions were very shorthanded vs the Bills. They still made a game of it. That said, the Lions have not shown they can shut down read-option QB's on a consistant basis. They have been better this year than the 2023 team epecially with the stronger CB play they now have. The return of a lot of quality players after the Bills game should also help in this Commanders game. Daniels is good, don't sell him short. BTW, I am a 45 year Lions fan, I am also a realist and don't put my head in the sand and deny the talent other teams have when I see it. The Commanders are here and they can bring game.
Washington offensive strengths match well with Detroit's defensive weaknesses. Washington constantly goes no huddle and Detroit is horrible at defending no huddle offenses. I think what will save Detroit is Washington is less consistent on offense than Detroit is. If it becomes a shoot out Detroit should win. But this is going to be a tougher game than we think it will be. Daniels is the real deal.
I understand bringing up the buffalo game as a reason why the Lions struggled against running QBs but wasn't Anzalone injured for that game? I think thats a huge factor for this team because it seems as if he really has the pulse of the defense. In that Vikings game the defense seemed calm and organized more than they had been in weeks. Not saying he's all world but I think a lot of the Buffalo disaster had to do with organization or not knowing where to be to defend a QB like Allen. Just my thoughts
I immediately stopped watching when it was stated that Ben Nieman and Trevor Nowaski struggled vs Bills. If you recall they were both out that game. OLBs were Kwon Alexander and Ezekiel Turner. Cmon man know your ball
Stay within the confines of the system. Give Daniels some yards. Allow 17 play 95 yard drives that take up 8 min a piece. Keep your offense on the bench. Sounds like a solid game plan to give JD5 another game winning TD with 10s left on the clock.
You do realize the Lions are masters at ToP right? Right??? LoL Daniel's won't be given the chance of late game heroics, cuase your team can't stop the run LoL.
@ JD5 just dog walked ya’ll. All week I listened to these Detroit podcasts talking all types of trash knowing they’re going to be sad boys come Saturday night. He didn’t even need the 4th quarter comeback. Sometimes I even impress myself.
@@esotericreaktor Great game by the Commies, showed up and showed out! Turnovers, poor play calls, & bad tackling will lose you the game. That was not the Lions team I watched all year, or the past 2 1/2 yrs. JD5 is BEYOND calm in big moments.
Daniels will get some yards. The Lions will make some mistakes on defense. Hopefully with all the starters that have come back from IR the Lions defense can be disciplined and contain Daniels. If JD5 is the most of offense, the Lions will be fine, you just can't let the rest of the Commanders be gamebreakers. Other than McLaurin and Daniels, they don't have a lot offensive depth. The Commanders will score, the Lions just have to limit the big plays.
Detroit will beat Washington! Jayden barely beat the Bears in their Stadium! Just run the ball! D Mo & Gibbs, and passing off the play action! The Defense will have to play discipline gap coverage and keep Jayden in the pocket! His Rookie experience will show itself! Go Lion's!
"They've been successful against running QBs like Kyler Murray and Anthony Richardson." 😂😂😂 If you think how well you handle those two QBs matter at all as how you will handle JD5 then you're a clown and haven't been paying attention. DET sport talk folks don't watch football they only watch the Lions.
we realize Daniels is a different player than those two, but let's not act like he is Josh Allen or Lamar yet either. Also, what about the other side of the ball, devil dog? think washington's defense is up to the task? or nah?
@@mcannon313 Hell no. Y'all's strength matches our weakness lopsided, we couldn't stop the run all year. Really there were a lot of teams that would've beaten us if they stuck to the run. Only chance we got is if Goff turns into Goof and y'all abandon the run, but I don't think your coaching staff is dumb enough to take the ball out of Gibbs hands.
@@LionsOnTheHunt313 this is the most smooth brained response I could envision. Essentially you're saying the equivalent of, "Nah uh, you are. TaPe DoN't LiE sOn." Well put together, you definitely proved me wrong. 😂
Even the most casual of fans know that you need a defense to win a championship. Detroit doesn't have one. Their the worst in the league just about. That's not gonna work in the playoffs. Especially not against the best QB in the NFC. Washington has a defense that will stop Detroit at least two or three times. Arizona, Chicago, Houston, and Indianapolis are just a few of the teams that held Detroit under 26 pts. 😂😂 Your "#1" offense is a smoke and mirrors game. Nine teams held Detroit under 31pts. Detroit only had five games that they scored more than 40. WHAT FUKN OFFENSE??? 😂😂😂😂😂
You do realize the Lions are 7th on defense giving up 20.1 points a game and Commanders are 18th right?. The smoke and mirrors offense went from 5th in the league last year at 27.1 points a game to 1st this year at 33.2. If you want to talk about the teams that held us under 26 points let's discuss the 12 wins of the Commanders. Only two had records over .500 and one was the Eagles without Hurts most of the game and the other the 9-8 Bengals. Of the other 10 wins 7 were against teams with 5 wins or fewer.
All I can say is you need to learn football. Detroit has the best offense in the NFC. To say otherwise exposes your lack of football knowledge, you will eat your words. Daniel's is good but to say he is the best QB in the NFC is just dumb.

I can't wait for the next video lol... I told y'all "JG is going to turn into a pumpkin when the Lions need him the most" Go Rams
This video aged well. Go on vacation 29:01 . You guys forget we’re 3-0 in the playoff. Go night night.
@@dmorales125 you have won 2 playoff games this year. Not 3.

I think Nowaske was out against the Bills too. And Maybin, Anzalone, Paschal and Levi.
That was complete patchwork against the Bills.
