I'm glad we play the commanders. I think jayden is a great player who will challenge our defense with the mobile presence he has. plus, it adds diversity to seeing a team we haven't played yet.
What I find funny is Washington has allowed 391 points this season on defense and the terrible Lions defense has allowed 342 points total. Detroit has scored 564 points on offense to 485 for the commanders. That is +222 for Detroit to +94 for Washington. Detroit has played a much harder schedule over the Commanders according to ESPN stats .516 for Detroit to .436 for Washington. Strength of victory is way in the Lions favor. I think both teams score a bunch but hopefully the lions get the job done. Getting Anzalone back was huge for Detroit. Lions offense is legit scary. I really hope they show the Washington fans how good they are.
Todd, you know I been around for a minute and I got all the respect for what you do in your videos. I was telling my friends there’s unfinished business in both conferences from our teams! Gotta right that horrible Championship Sunday from last year. I don’t know how much or if at all I can help with what you do but if there’s anything you think someone with a passion for football can help with give me a holla. I’m a restaurant manager so I don’t have infinite time but……🤷🏽♂️
Also, in your free time can you highlight my man Penei Sewell? I searched and couldn’t find one you’ve done. If you’ve done one just LMK. The guy may already be the best OL in football and he’s already 24. That’s arguable and I’m a biased Lions fan, but what’s not arguable is he’s unbelievable and the heart and enforcer of that OL. Paying him right away was a GREAT move by the Lions front office. He’s paying RT but once Decker ages and decides to move on Penei will most likely be a stud LT in the future. Only 24 years old which is crazy!
Seems like daniels really likes to run or roll out to his right. Im sure the lions will notice this, but id have branch right there hovering around the right side of the line.
No criticism here coach, job well done. JD is certainly going to break contain a time or so, but l think the bigger key will be solving the option. If the Lions D can win first and second down, then the scramble yardage can be mitigated, Hopefully.
My hypothesis for my lions to succeed defensively in these playoffs is utilizing brian branch & Melifonwu as the weapons they are BB is similar to honey badger who can play nickel corner, safety, & Hybrid Backer in some situations. I think we will start to utilize those 2 as spys to slowdown these mobile QBS. They are our best athletes and create a lot of problems. I think AG witheld from doing it so its not on tape. We will see but i think he will add some nice wrinkles!
If there's one thing AG struggles with it's dealing with mobile QB's - Lamar, Allen, even Purdy all have a history of torching our defense under him. The Lions absolutely have the offense to outscore the Commanders, especially with their defensive issues, but I see a high scoring game from both sides
I really think Jayden Daniels is about to be running for his life this whole game, similar to what happened to Sam Darnold. A poor rushing offense, which limits your passing efforts, vs a strong Lions run defense is a recipe for disaster for the Commanders. Another thing to note is their defense is nowhere near as good as others we've faced this year. They rank near the bottom in a lot of categories. They could keep it somewhat competitive, but before long the Lions just overwhelm you and they all play to the whistle and have elite cardio. 😅 Fear not Lions fans, we actually do have an elite team.
Detroit's defense gave up 48 points to Buffalo 4 weeks ago at home and even though they beat the 49ers, the Lions' defense had a hard time stopping San Francisco. The Lions defense is not Super Bowl caliber. Jaylen Daniels has been tested against the Ravens, Philly, the Steelers and Tampa Bay defenses, and played very well. He is going to carve up this Lions defense and control the clock.
You are forgetting a massive key factor to all of those games... Alex Anzalone was out for both SF and Buffalo. Am I saying that he is going to single handedly stop Daniels? No, there isn't a player in the league who has been able to, and I don't expect that to change, but he is a clear difference maker. The biggest reason why SF and Buffalo carved up the Lions defense the way they did, is that the LB play was down right awful, things were open all over the middle of the field, the run defense took a clear step down, and the play recognition on play action took a noticeable step down, along with very obvious communication issues - at no fault to any of those guys, they were expected to just be warm bodies, and it turns out that is exactly what they were, but both the actual product on the field, and the energy level of the defense, see noticeable changes when Anzalone is out there compared to when he is not.
Love the content on our (lions) opponents

Very enjoyable video, thanks man
Good video coach Daniel scare me a little bit with the mobility like a Lamar Jackson

Should be mobile qb reps for the defense until we get JAllen in the SB.
finally some lions film
Lions 54, commandets 9
Lions will dominate the entire game !!!
GAURANTEED !!!!
Go lions go !!
Lion's defense is swiss cheese.
Ravens v Lions collision course!
A 40 minute video! Fuck ya!
You say Branch is badass but Kerby has 5 more INTs so I would say both are badass

If you really believe that, the Commanders money line is +375. That's almost 4x your money. Turn $1000 into $4750.
Right. He just talking, though. He wants to give himself confidence ahead of the game.
Washington’s defense is not the greatest either. Goodluck.

For the most part that bills game was just accumulation of injuries on defense. Hit that breaking point, met the bills at the wrong time.
End of the line for us. JD and this offense is exactly what the Lions cannot solve. Only hope is to outscore them.
Theres levels to this shit, Detroit is a juggernaut
