    Make sure the T is on right. Some of those the T goes sideways and yes it matters.

      I thought that too, but every one of these I work on are like that. Even in the Motorola diagrams, they show them off at an angle. Thank you for the comment.

    Compression Lock Nuts .

    Why so many grounds on the tower? I am familiar with digital and analog electronics, but not specifically with UHF setups... Wouldn't a single ground be plenty? Or is it just for redundancy in case one of them fails?

      The reason for all the rods connected is to get the ground around the tower, the shop and the house at the same ground potential. To drain off as many charged particles around the tower and the buildings. In hopes of avoiding a lighting strike. This is the way commercial towers are grounded. But in the end, we will see if it will work for me. Thank you for the comment.
