THANKS FOR WATCHING!
Good morning! Your raised beds are absolutely beautiful! My husband and I purchased 2 Vego Garden Beds after seeing yours. At 61 we have decided it is time to go to raise beds. Do you mind sharing where you purchased your weed fabric and which one? We are in the Mississippi Delta and the weeds will take over if we don't do exactly as you have done. Thank you for sharing your gardens with us. Have a Blessed day!
You need a ghost writer for us who want to learn the old ways. Your knowledge is insurmountable sir....❤
New dirt looks like a great spot for a new off grid cabin iffin ya ask me. Amazing start to garden season guys. The LORD is Mighty!
I’m praying hard that the weather coming through today will bring abundant rain without damage from wind or hail. Your groundwater and ponds need the water.
Yes -- praying for GOD's hand of protection over you all with storms coming to your area. Glad for the rain to help all your plants & pastures & ponds.
I've been praying for yall. I hope you are well and came through ok.❤
It is amazing how much you have done at Pecan Grove.
Y'all are a wonderful encouragement! What a blessing to rejoice with you over the Lord's blessing in the garden! Awsome 👍😊
Good morning!! High tunnel is looking fabulous! My guess is a house/cabin. 😀 we are also expecting bad weather here in west central Alabama today. Prayers everyone is safe!
Those wax bean plants are sturdy and beautiful
I’m thinking that pad is for a new home or cabin for you and Miss Wanda. Everything is looking wonderful.
You are a incredible talented man with buckets of knowledge
I love being able to be encourged by what you do. It's so much fun watching your ideas come to fruition!!! Regards from far north California, vacationing in Florida.
Everything is growing great, wow those Strawberry’s, Radishes and Bell Peppers that early. Looks awesome.
I'm just seeing this video. I don't understand why I'm missing the Pecan Grove videos. This one showed up in my sidebar today along with a bunch of others I've missed from folks I watch. I know what your surprise is!! I bet my first big honkin tomato I do. HA
Everything looks just beautiful. I'm so jealous of you all. My goodness. The lighting is so intense. The color reminds me of a storm coming in.
I see lots of awesome blessings coming into fruition at Pecan Grove!!
Everything looks great. Miss Wanda gotta green thumb!
Your squash looks a lot better than mine does.
Your leveling looks like you are planning your future home. Congrats Wanda on your radishes. High tunnel looks beautiful.
An amazing time of year as plants start growing. It is going to be a great summer for the garden.
🦋👋Good Morning Mr Danny n Miss Wanda. My first time watching Pecan Grove. Many blessings and Prayers to Everyone 🙏🙏🙏❤️
I actually have peppers that are 3” long. We have already been so warm.
I envy y’all’s productivity! I got dreams but not the means 🤷♀️ Living vicariously ❤
I'm waiting for my soil test. Thanks for directing people to this test.
WOW! Your garden is popping or "Cadilacing" as Danny says. Love watching y’all as you garden. Red dirt is a surprise I’m lookimg forward to.
I wish I knew you 40 years ago. You know so much about gardening. And building an electrical work. I sure could have benefited from knowing you back then. At that time in my life I was able to work and would’ve had the money to do things better. Thank you for showing me so much about gardening you Wanda I enjoy listening to you and thank you for all you do for us. Ron😊
Everything looks so plush and green. Tomatoes, peppers, squash, radishes, sweet potatoes oh my goodness. Thanks for sharing your beautiful gardening skills.
I'm smiling guys! The utter joy and excitement that I'm hearing in your voices as you show us your awesome veggies 😀 I love it!!!
I'm guessing and hoping, that spot leveled out is gonna be your Pecan Grove Retirement Sanctuary ❤ Yall are inspiring to say the least!
❤ Looks Great ❤
Your garden is looking fantastic.
Everything looks great. Looking forward to finding out your surprise. Hope all goes well. Blessings to you both
Gardening never gets old we try new or different things every year and watch the plants and rejoice when they grow better.(And give thanks to Jesus,)
I live in one that size! Ha! 10 years now. It's amazing what you can do when dividing a small space. I must confess I bought a second to use as a barn/storage area for pet foods and such, and a place to do laundry instead of doing it outside. After last night's live, I'm going to guess that dirt pile is the beginnings of a grist mill and sugar cane processing facility! So much work on that high tunnel. I recently fell off a ladder - smart move with the scaffold!
Wow, Danny and Wanda your garden looks amazing just beautiful. I’m starting some of mine tonight. God bless you both.
Beautiful plants… just watched the update. Wow have they grown!
Hey Danny, I found last year that horn worms stay away from cucumbers. If you trellis tomatoes and cucumbers together they're awesome with each other...
No hints needed on that! That be where the new house goes! So exciting and best wishes.
Hi Danny and Wanda from Florida praying the weather will not be too bad here this evening or tomorrow morning
Good day Mr. Danny and Ms. Wanda. Be praying for y'all with this crazy weather were in now. Never enough time to finish all of the projects around the homestead. Pecan grove is definitely looking amazing. Thank y'all for sharing and have a blessed day.
WOW!!! What a gorgeous garden you have there. My mouth is watering... Pecan Grove is such a beautiful property. Blessings...
The veggies and their leaves are gorgeous!!!!! Aw, man! My brother had that color dirt when he lived in Booneville! Brought back memories . . .love y'all. Xo
You grow amazing looking plants 😊
Oh, I bet a small home will go where youve been building up the dirt. Beautiful gardens. God bless and Much love 💖✝️
Thanks, Danny and Wanda!
Praying for y'all in the stormy weather. Heading out way tonight and tomorrow morning. Basil is good to plant with tomatoes to deter tomato horn worms. God Bless and stay safe!
I love the updates and the high tunnel growth! Sometimes, when I watch how much growth you have and I start to panic that I'm so far behind. Then I remember where I live is still too cold! 😄😄 We're getting there though!
Morning! We had a good rain last night here in San Antone Texas...the Christmas pole limas and Rattlesnake pole beans will be happy 😊 That prepper building is a nice size, and your high tunnel is huge...very nice for veggies. God bless you and sister Wanda😊❤
Shalom brother and sister.
Love making a new garden!
Things are looking good ❤
I saw your red soil and remember reading it could be iron rich. Some plants might thrive in it. ??? Maybe a new place for sweet potatoes? Looking forward to finding out! Have a wonderful day. My grandfather loved his petunias and I often plant some in memory of happy times with him.
You’ve been busy! Looks amazing.
I’m excited to see what’s getting built.
Thanks brother.
We are picking wild blackberries already in North Florida! Found a new patch and they are big, juicy and sweet! They are early.
Take cuttings and grow them at home
Good morning! Everything looks so good. 👍🏼🙂
Morning
There's very few men that I would say this to.... But, you truly are a VERY RESOURCEFUL MAN!! Congratulations Wanda. You choose well too. 🙇♀️
Thank you! 😊
@@pecangrovems You're Welcome
Looking beautiful your gardening skills are top-notch, God has blessed you
Great walkthrough. Those are looking great.
For what it’s worth, I have read that basil and borage are excellent companion plants for tomatoes; they distract or deter pests and enhance the productivity and flavor each of the others.
I've also heard that because tomatoes and cauliflower have the same needs they shouldn't be placed together. It will result in low yields. Wonder if that's true?
@@wendyburston3132 Danny and Wanda have planted them in the same raised bed and fertilized them. Let’s watch and find out.
Love you Sharing your Knowledge with us I was looking at the weather. If it’s really bad down there early this morning there was tornado warnings in carrier Mississippi, where I’m trying to start the garden. The basement flooded and got eight buckets of water out of the basement got to landscape the yard so the water will flow away from the house
Everything looks so nice !!
Good morning. I enjoy learning about growing food from you two. I have planted a few vegetables. Hoping that the rain didn’t wash out the seeds. Heavy rains. I’ll check later this morning. But in the meantime I’ll continue to learn from you and Wanda. I won’t give up.😃 Have a blessed day. ❤️
Mrs. Wanda I love you! You are a great lady!
I pray the Lord will keep teaching me from your example. ❤
Thanks so much
Progress!! Excited to follow your projects at Pecan Grove 😊
Good morning everyone stay safe with this weather coming!❤🙏
I love you both and your channels, these videos are motivating for me and the fact you are unashamed believers is the icing on the cake.
This garden is so exciting. So pretty. Cant wait till couple more weeks.
GOD BLESS!
Everything looks amazing! God bless❤
Mr Danny and Mrs Wanda your raised beds are doing amazing. Mr Danny i started my sweet potatoes the way you did yours in your manual and I have almost twenty slips up about 5" and they are doing amazing i'm building a 10x20 heavy duty car port frame into a greenhouse just like a high tunnel and building beds for my sweet potatoes this way i can keep the warm temps for them to grow and produce thank you and God bless.
Everything's looking really good great video God bless
I think I know what the soil pad is for! It’s what I was thinking all along, and would’ve done. I will say nothing … it’s your wind in your sail.
Had some rough weather with a tornado watch last night in central MS. The rain is about to wash us away.
Lots of rain here also.
@@pecangrovems I hope it filled your pond.
Love the video. Can’t wait to see what y’all are doing in the future. God bless
Do y'all have an extra green thumb I can borrow? Absolutely beautiful plants. Happy homesteading! 🙏🏻❤️
It's all about plant nutrients.
@@pecangrovemsabsolutely. Thank you.
The last 2 years I started plating a random onion in among my plants. I dont think its companion planting but I was thinking that since garlic help deter insects I thought the onions might help. I do still have bug damage but It seems to be a lot less. I have no proof but I say onions are cheap and its worth a try
Everything's looking awesome thank you Danny and Wanda
So exciting❤
Looking fine guys, hope the weather spares yall.
Those radishes are gorgeous!
Another great update of your hard work at Pecan Grove, thanks for the update.
Do y'all think the Vego Kitchen Minis would grow well in a GreenStalk, too? They look to be the perfect size. Take care.
I was thinking the same.
Yes they will
It’s looking really good.
I have a feeling you will build your retirement dream home! Congrats!
Danny, have you thought about trellising sweet potatoes vertically? I saw a video last fall where they had a raised bed and a fence panel trellis down the middle. They trained the sweet potato vines up the trellis and any that spilled out of the bed they just cut off. Great harvest when they pulled them. I want to give this a try, but this year I'm out of space as we are slowly converting all our beds to the 17" high metal beds. All our growing is in raised beds which makes this method look attractive.
Not in our heat we need the vines to root in the ground as much as possible to keep the potatoes with moisture.
This is proof that soil tests are so important
LOOKING GREAT. I WALK THRU MY GARDEN DAILY AND LOVE IT WHEN I CAN FIND A TREAT, STRAWBERRY, ENGLISH PEAS OR WHAT EVER IS READY TO PICK AND EAT. GOD IS SO GOOD. MY STRAWBERRIES ARE AS BEAUTIFUL AS YOURS. THANK GOD.
Wow you are doing a great job be safe with your building of the high tunnel .
Danny. Check out the video just released from Josh and Caroline at Homesteading Family. They have been tested for Glyphosate and have alarming levels in their bodies. You talked about Grazon being in the feed sometime ago and it looks like it's definately passing through to the body. We try to live as healthy as possible being homesteaders but man what a blow to think we may be passing Round up etc through from our feeds to our animals and then into our systems. THIS IS VERY ALARMING and goes to show that even our healthy lifestyle can come back and kick us in the seat of our pants.
Just think how bad it could have been without that healthy lifestyle. Chemical pass-through is a scary concept. All the more reason to know and control every step of the process on small scale farms.
Those pine trees around your shed and the high tunnel are going to drip sap on your buildings. My parents have pines around their house and the sap would get all over my mustang
Great video as always! New logo is a lot more visible. 😊
Still working on it.
Hi Danny…are you planning on building a house at pecan Grove? It looks like a good place to build it. I know what you’re going through building your high tunnel…I have similar types of work at my place, a work force of 1…😅
Good morning.
Morning
I'm putting together my Vego beds now. It takes me a few hours since I have to stop and rest occasionally. I can't wait to fill them with dirt and plant in them
Good morning, hope no severe weather hits you and your ponds just get more full. Everything is beautiful. I asked Lippy this the other day and I will ask you too. I have been mulling over the idea of putting a layer of hardware cloth on top of tunnels under the shade cloth to fortify it from hail damage. Or, maybe on top of the shade cloth. Or chicken wire but hardware cloth is stronger. Please let me know what you think. 5 more days and my plant baby's start moving outside 🙌
Not really sure about that. It sounds difficult to do.
That's amazing , be careful when you get high Daniel , get you some help
Love y'all 💗
Keeping you in my prayers with the weather. Mark shows some nasty stuff your way. 🙏🏻
Just got some much needed rain.
That looks great but tell miss Wanda she just has to wait for her pepper and cucumber
I see the storm over you now, hope everything is okay there!
Got a lot of rain.
Grrreat
Well well well...verrrry interesting
Tomatoes need 3 ft from each other. How can potting work?
Looks good. Red dirt cabin😂 Don't radishes get pithy when they get that big? Mine always have.
Yes these are for insect deterrent.
