I want to say how happy I am for this tutorial. I'm 45 years old, and though I love keeping my hair long, I've never very skilled at styling my own hair (a friend teased me that 'I don't know how to girl'). I couldn't even get the hang of French braiding, and figured I'd just have to stick with a basic 3-strand forever. But something about your tutorial clicked with me, and for the first time in my life I actually managed to replicate a braid tutorial with perfect results. I've since adopted the single side braid as my 'going out' look, and twin side braids for wear-a-day, and absolutely love them. It may sound silly, but I can't begin to tell you what a confidence booster it was to learn how to do this, and I'm astounded it actually can be done in under two minutes. Thank you so much for a great tutorial!
My hair is very long & usually I put it in a bun at work, but I wore this the other day & everyone went crazy over it! The tip with the dry shampoo is seriously life changing, my hair is very slippery & won't pancake on its own but with the dry shampoo it fluffs out really nicely!
I work two jobs and am putting myself through school, your tutorials have made it so easy to look professional and keep my hair out of my face. Thank you so much for posting stuff like this!
I only let my hair down like three times in school. I'm scared to let it down because I have so much hair and it's so thick it gets frizzy and puffy :( so everyday I tie it in a ponytail
That used to be me too. But you have good hair, having thick hair is nice cause many girls would die to have it they get extensions. When you get to high school (if you aren't yet) you'll probably adapt and find a way to make it look cute just embrace it :) find tutorials and practice it.
Cool! thanks! Note: I was struggling with the last part for about half an hour, when I figured I was working on my right side, so doing the braid clockwise, which meant I had to do the twisting reversed, so counter clockwise. But yay, figured it out!
You are so gorgeous and your hair is just magical;) I came to your page because you are one of the only tutorials I have seen for long and thick hair and my daughter needed new and easy styles for school. Thank you for your videos and you have a beautiful family. I'm so sorry you have gone through so much ..I have seen the comments and realized life has been very very trying for you lately..may Heavely Father bless you and your little ones.
We provide 10A Grade hair which are thick , tangle free and doesn't sheds at all.... provide me your email address so I can send you pictures of wigs and Extensions also their price list.. or you call/chat on WhatsApp..
Oh my god. I'm like sobbing over here. How haven't I figured this out before!?! I'm always looking for easy ways to keep my thick hair out of my face.. Total game-changer!
Thankyou so much for doing this! I have extremely long hair and have wanted to do french braids on my hair since i was about 5... my mother paid for me to have it done once when I was very young and despite a million watches on youtube, I just can't seem to get the knack of french braids. Fish tails... done it. Nailed it... now killed it. Used it everyday forever and ever and so rubbish because it's not french braids. BUT THIS IS DO ABLE. FOR ANYONE! I love you for it. My hair loves you for it.
OMG this is fabulous!!! I never knew that u could combine a super pretty hairstyle with less time!!! Since I have little time for my hair in the morning this will really help! It's super easy, not complicated at all, and quick! Thx so much!
You are absolutely beautiful and amazing! Your hair is so pretty! It looks like wonderful cascading flame! This is the best hair tutorial on RUclips, I can't ever find a tutorial for long thick hair that people can actually do! My hair is extremely thick, because I am Hawaiian. So thank you! And please doing tutorials, you have true talent! ☺️
This is so pretty and easy to do! I have such a hard time braiding my own hair so I was so happy to find something that gives a similar look but is actually easy to do lol Thanks!
The first hair tutorial I've seen that was actually as simple as stated and easy enough that even I can do it (for some reason I can never get the results from hair tutorials even if I follow it to a t!). My hair's not thick enough to go all the way to the bottom but I've done it in a crown- fashion. Thank you!
Looooove the hairstyle!!! 💗 There's also another trick u can use for the twisting part. Instead of the twisting part, you can also do the plain braiding. It looks gorgeous too! ✨
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have long, thick hair and am always seeking new ways to keep it off my face...this method is lovely, beautiful and SO FAST. I struggle with braiding my own hair so having something quick and easy (and cute!) tot ry is super exciting. Thank you! :)
Hi Freckled Fox! 😍 😀I'm same-same "freckled Foxy" and I'm happy to find another one! 👍😂Your "hair-trick" is really wonderful, I will try it this evening by my own! My Hair is around 80 cm long and I think it must be possible to do it like you did! Thx so much, and YOU ARE A GREAT PERSON! All the best to you! 💓
Great tutorial! I'm not good with hair at all and was able to follow this pretty easily. The tricky part was the twisting in opposite directions in the end. Now all I can do is wish my hair was as luscious as yours.
wow!! this is beautiful!! i'm going on a trip in a few months and didn't know what to put in my hair in the plane and just on the trip!! i think i found my hairstyle!!
My hair is so incredibly thick I have a hard time finding a tutorial that will actually work in my hair. Yours was the first that I did not have to modify greatly. It held up all day and still looks good hours later. Thanks for the great tutorial!
I have red hair not as dark as yours more strawberry blonde, it's nice to see a redhead do a beautiful braid . Also the styling of the rest of the hair, my trouble is how to get rest of the hair to look right but your video showed me exactly how to do it right. Thank you so much 💕
To save you time, I can tell you that having long hair will not necessarily work for this (lol). I have a lot of long, fine hair but mine is sleek. If I use something to give it texture, then it works a bit better for me.
Nawal Zahra this is why you really NEED to twist them individually before twisting them together. Imagine twisting two ropes only. they open because they do not get tied together. They are just wrapped around each other. This is why the clockwise twist is important. As you go down, twist them individually and then together once. Then individually and then again together once. If I can make it with my short thin hair, anyone can!
very creative and simple, yet stunning and complicated looking. very easy tutorial, i appreciate that so much! Thx for the time and effort you put into this!
Thank you so much for sharing... I've tried to figure out how to do that braid for so long now its so easy thanks for sharing... and you hair is soooo beautiful
I ♥️ your hair tutorials. I had short hair most of my life, so still learning the long hair tricks. These are so easy and quick and cute! I usually skip out of tutorials because they are long and look like a hassle. I feel like I can actually pull yours off. Keep up the good work. 😁
Im looking for hairstyles that wont damage my hair. I cook for a living and i have very long hair but a ponytail in the same place damages my hair. I never braided my hair before so 0.25 speed for me....
THIS IS GREAT AND THE FIRST HAIR TUTORIAL THAT I CAN ACTUALLY DO! Thanky ou so much you are beautiful btw :p Would you know how to do a feather plait/braid thingy??

Omg, I just tried this and you're right, it takes 2 minutes and looks so so pretty :) I'm thrilled as I normally find these kinds of hairstyles impossible. Thanks!
I'm over here watching this video trying to learn how to braid my daughter's hair and it gave me a headache! Mad props and pretty hair. I'm gonna keep practicing.
you have lovely hair, both color and it looks so strong and healthy. also, very well explained, i could see exactly what you were doing. you do mke it look simple. i'm gonna try it out, thx :)
I love watching your videos! Only recently have I discovered your channel and I have to tell you that I love your tutorials about these easy-to-do hairstyles. You made my life so much easier because I have really long curly hair and even though I love it, some days I just want something different. And this is it! Thank you so much for your videos, I will definitely continue to follow you! :-)
lol dang i give up , thought about getting straightners out for this but dang think this may be too much for my tiny male mind to get :( so wanted a braid just for fun :(
"you can keep it sleek and if you want u can start to pull it a bit out-" Ok let me just keep it the way it is cuz imma make this a disaster if i try to make this any harder than it is

You are an awesome teacher. This braid was baffling me and not five minutes after I watched your tutorial...I HAVE AN AWESOME ROPE BRAID!!!! THANK YOU
I'm really looking forward learning to braid my hair like that. Thanks for the help!
Thank you for making this video. I work in the hospital and I always wear braids and this is quick and easy to do for work! Thank you! Much love!
I've never seen more natural, beautiful hair, good lord. wow.
When i first saw this hairstyle, i thought it was a hour long process or something...but your tutorial was so simple! I loved it!!

I've done your Fancy Bun several times, always to the greatest compliments and reactions! Love this braid so I'm going to try it next time.
I got this braid on the first try! It was so easy, and so fun. I am definitely wearing this to school!👍👍
Your hair is BEAUTIFUL! It's so healthy and very natural-looking.

I just tried this and I LOVE it! Definitely adding it to my hair repertoire, lol. Thank you so much!
I've been looking for some easy up dos to add to my routine other than bun and ponytail. This is so pretty!
this actually looks simpler and it was very well explained
I'm really glad to hear it! Thanks!
Omg it's so simple and pretty, I love it! I got extensions, cannot see them at all with that style, which is a problem with most of braids. Thank you♡
the style is quick and stunning. thank you!

Great tutorial! I'm not good with hair at all and was able to follow this pretty easily. The tricky part was the twisting in opposite directions in the end. Now all I can do is wish my hair was as luscious as yours.
this is beautiful! my hair is to short to do this, I'm growing it out though.
wow!! this is beautiful!! i'm going on a trip in a few months and didn't know what to put in my hair in the plane and just on the trip!! i think i found my hairstyle!!
that hairstyle is sooo majestic
My hair is so incredibly thick I have a hard time finding a tutorial that will actually work in my hair. Yours was the first that I did not have to modify greatly. It held up all day and still looks good hours later. Thanks for the great tutorial!
amazing loved it😍i had tried it!!
I have red hair not as dark as yours more strawberry blonde, it's nice to see a redhead do a beautiful braid . Also the styling of the rest of the hair, my trouble is how to get rest of the hair to look right but your video showed me exactly how to do it right. Thank you so much 💕
How to do this hairstyle:
Step one: grow hair down to your butt. That should only take me about three years 😄
To save you time, I can tell you that having long hair will not necessarily work for this (lol). I have a lot of long, fine hair but mine is sleek. If I use something to give it texture, then it works a bit better for me.
That's the greatest, most straightforward hair tutuorial I have ever watched 💕
the rope braid downwards when I tied it with my pony tail it just opened
Nawal Zahra this is why you really NEED to twist them individually before twisting them together. Imagine twisting two ropes only. they open because they do not get tied together. They are just wrapped around each other. This is why the clockwise twist is important. As you go down, twist them individually and then together once. Then individually and then again together once. If I can make it with my short thin hair, anyone can!
Thank you so much for clarifying for her! That's a huge help
The Freckled Fox You're welcome keep up with these nice videos :D
im doing this!! but it still falls out:(
You have to consciously twist each part individually COUNTER CLOCKWISE and then wrap the together CLOCKWISE. It works because of physics.
This is just awesomely done and the color of your hair makes this! I have tried 4 times already and maybe the next one will be it! Hugs and Ty♥
wore this hairstyle to the fair today and it stayed intact throughout all the rides 😄
very creative and simple, yet stunning and complicated looking. very easy tutorial, i appreciate that so much! Thx for the time and effort you put into this!
OMG i love this!! it was so easy too. Thanks for sharing ♡
I'm so happy because it's the first time ever that I can follow easily the steps and the result is 10/10. Thank you so much! 💕💕
Because of your tutorial and Pinterest Pins, I have found my favorite! Would you please post a tutorial on the Bohemian Side Braid?
Love this hairstyle to bad my hair isn't long enough for this hairstyle but I want to grow out my hair and I will try this hairstyle cool video

I loved that episode! THey're so great .haha
I ♥️ your hair tutorials. I had short hair most of my life, so still learning the long hair tricks. These are so easy and quick and cute!
I usually skip out of tutorials because they are long and look like a hassle. I feel like I can actually pull yours off. Keep up the good work. 😁
This hairstyle looks amazing but is hella difficult! Let me try watching this tutorial at 0.5 speed
Im looking for hairstyles that wont damage my hair. I cook for a living and i have very long hair but a ponytail in the same place damages my hair. I never braided my hair before so 0.25 speed for me....
Irma just try to make the braid as tight as possible to make sure it doesn’t fall out
You look like a mermaid!!! I will try it!
THIS IS GREAT AND THE FIRST HAIR TUTORIAL THAT I CAN ACTUALLY DO! Thanky ou so much
you are beautiful btw :p
Would you know how to do a feather plait/braid thingy??
So simple !! Yet, it looks like it took you for ever to do.. I'm definitely trying this .. you're a beautiful girl ! Thank you for making this video
My braid just gets unraveled in the end after securing it with hair tie 😭
Hahaha ~ You're probably not twisting it the right way.
Saubia Shahwar try braiding it tighter. This should make the braid unravel only a little bit.
Hahahahahahhahahahaha
Thank you! This was so easy. I have a very hard time braiding my own hair, but not with this braid and it looks great.
Fun fact: it's called a flat twist in the natural hair community, except we twist it a bit more tightly!
What is the 'natural hair community' isn't all hair that grows from your head natural? Not been funny just curious
