+Anu Yadav Not perfect but definitely great hair. She may not have volume, but her hair appears soft, has great shine, and more importantly looks manageable and stays in place. That makes these hairstyles very easy to try. I couldn't even get past step 1 with my hair.

this really helped for me to reduce headaches, i have to wear my hair up all the time for work and i get such pain all the time. making the two tails really made it less heavy on the top, not just that but also looks better :)
I have never been able to achieve a pony tail I liked because my head would start hurting right away or it just looked lifeless. I used all your tricks on the first try after watching this video and my hair looks so dang good! I didn't know I could make my hair look like this!!!!! You are amazing!
Thank you so much for your tutorials. I'm a guy who has been struggling with braiding and hair styles but I have long blonde hair just like yours and all of your tutorials have really helped me secure my confidence with my hair. I feel proud of it now instead of insecure and dirty.
This works just as well for curly hair. I didn’t use the clips but everything else did the trick. It took me three minutes. It’s also much more comfortable than regular ponytails because it’s not pulling too much on the hair on the top of your head. Thanks!
Does doing it this way help it not pull on your hair? I have really long thick hair and anytime I try to wear it up, I get bad headaches because it's so heavy. Make sense? Love your tutorials!!!!
I find that it helps to distribute the weight better, because the bottom ponytail kind of "anchors" and holds some of the weight that normally would be on the top of your head. I honestly don't know if that will help the headaches, but it might :).
for headaches try those invisibobble hair elastics, they look like a telephone cord :) I use them and I must say they hekped me a lot, because they distribute the pressure on hair better so they don't induce a headache :)
Sara Todorovic yep that's true, i can sleep with a ponytail now with these hair elastics bc they don't disturb me and they also help a little bit against the headache so give it a try and i just have a non-expensive version and they are good too :)
This technique helps with the painful hair in a pony tail thing! I put my hair up like this and I was able to wear my pony tail all day. Usually I take it down within the hour!
So I tried to put those little clips inside the pony tail to make it look thicker and with in an hour they had slipped to half way down my hair! Any tips on making them stay where they are put?
Interesting, I've never had that happen before. Either your hair is too silky or you didn't get enough hair into them to hold them in place. For the silkiness, you can spray with hairspray, dry shampoo, or a texturizing product where you want to use the clip so they can stick better. For getting enough hair, make sure to open the claw all the way and maybe give it a little wiggle as you grab the hair. Hope that helps :)!
I have the exact same problem! I've tried it on clean hair, second (or even third) day hair, with hairspray, without hairspray, with dry shampoo, without dry shampoo, i think I even tried texturizing wax spray. None of it helps. My hair is extremely silky, always have been. It's pretty, it has a nice shine and everything, but it's hopeless when trying to keep it in place because it just slithers away :P
I have this exact same problem, Iv not tried spraying with hairspray before putting in clip so will give that a go too, I just assumed it was because my hair is so thin and fine it just wouldn't hold the clip. And now Iv had a baby I need all the volume I am get!

Maddy Krebs im total opposite, my hair is so freaking thick that i can't even do anything to it i just brush it. during all of my hair appointments I'm always told what thick lovely hair i have and my mom says i have a horse tail in the back of my head but its really annoying
Same! Thank goodness it's not just me. The worst part is my hair used to be a bit thicker and thinned out a lot as I grew up. My little sis, on the other hand, has very thick hair and a lot of it. Lucky her!
Jacqueline Hope Actually, people who have thick hair have less hair per square inch. It's because the hair shaft is so porous that you have the appearance & feel of "more hair". If you have fine hair, you have more of it per square inch.
Hi! I never comment on videos BUT your technique made me the happiest person!! My thick & voluminous & unruly & heavy hair has been my nemesis my entire life. I thought I’d give your technique a shot and omg my pony tail looks at least decent!!! Thank YOU!!!!!!
I was wondering if you could help me. My hair will NOT hold a curl using heat no matter what I do but all the no heat tutorials I've seen/tried result in tiny tight curls that make me look like an electrocuted poodle or don't stay in either. The only way I can get curls is to use so much product my hair is stiff (like you touch it and are afraid it will snap kind of stiff) I can make my hair crimp/wave with no problems and I can braid my hair when it's dry and still have it wave my hair so I don't know if I'm doing something wrong when curling or if my hair really won't hold a curl. :/ I've had people spend over an hour trying to curl my hair to prove it can be done just to have it all fall out with in 30 mins. Could you do a video on tips for impossible to curl hair? I know you have some on hard to curl and I can't get that stuff to work either. Thanks for any help you can give.
Well my dear.. You're not alone in the matter. I have pin straight hair that goes down to my hips and is a nightmare to curl. I think the only time I've gotten nice curls that held longer than one and a half hours was when I did pen curls but after about three hours my hair ended up looking like I've been dragged through a bush or had been in a fight with a bear and anything else along those lines. But I don't know how long your hair is but sometimes the fact that you can't get your hair to stay curly is if the hair is too long and doeasn't have curls naturally since it becomes to heavy. That's my case but I don't know if it's the same for you tho.
I don't remember which video this is in but Kayley has elaborated on this topic before, this is what I remember from the video. Naturally straight hair in general is harder to curl because it hold onto moisture easier and has a thicker hair shaft. Frizzy, wavey, and naturally curly hair has a thinner shaft, meaning it needs more moisture (frizzy hair is literally trying to reach up into the air to take moisture from the environment). Since it has less moisture, it's easier to take to heat and can go straight or curly. Try not using conditioner the day you want to curl your hair and try to use dry shampoo in conjunction with hair spray when heat styling it curly. I hope this helps you! Kindness is the best accessory, Rebecca
My favorite way to curl my hair without any heat is done the night before. I take a shower and let my hair air dry after dinner. When it's 90% dry, so that you barely feel any moisture or coolness, I split my hair in half and twist two buns right above my ears. The tighter the bun, the smaller the curls. Twist both sides away from your face. I use just one bobby pin on each side to hold them up. I take a small piece of hair from the top of the bun with a bobby pin upside down, then I flip the bobby pin and slide it against my head down into the bun. Then I sleep with it in. It can sometimes look a little weird at the top when you let it down, so I just throw it back into a tight ponytail while I do my makeup, and that stretches out the curl enough to let it lay nicely on your head. The curls turn out soooo pretty. They vary in size and can almost look natural. They definitely look like you took a lot of time doing your hair, but really took almost no time at all. And they last until you wash your hair again. I hope you try it and love it as much as I do!
try a curl cream! ive had a friend with this problem and immediately after she curled her hair she used a curl cream and scrunched up her hair to create some messy pretty curls. its worth a shot?
My hair was the same way. What helped me was... Keeping my hair healthy without being wighed down with product. I use a wand and works better than anything else. I set the heat mid way and let it sit for 5-10sec depending on the section size. I let the curl fall into my hand and hold it for about 3 sec while is cools for a little. This helps my hair alot. But I noticed the more I curled it the better it stayed. I don't know if it was training my hair to hold the curl or if I was perfecting a technic that was best for me. Good luck.
Hey so you've already probably tried this, but just in case you haven't, have you tried using one of those big scrunchies with wide fabric? I have thin hair that's still strong enough to break elastic and get annoying tangled even with the no tangles hairties. I finally went to Walmart and snagged myself a set of the biggest scrunchies they had for $5. SO COMFY! Not too easy to break, holds decently well, and hardly ever tangles. It changed my life anyway. Hope that helps because hairties troubles suuuuuuuuck lol

+Lauren Kinman The timer speeds up when the video speeds up :). When I edited this video I put the timer on top of the original footage, turned it into a compound clip (Basically glued the timer and footage together), and then sped up the boring parts. The time is 100% accurate.
Hey Kayley! So I just cut all my hair off (by all I mean I had 19 inches from the base of my neck to maybe an inch) and I was wondering if you could work in more short hair stylings. Thanks for your consideration! :)
Finally something that works for thin hair. In most tutorials girls would have really thick hair and hair with a lot of volume already. My hair usually has really no volume at all and i used to wear it in the "bad" way and i thought it was just ugly because of my face. But now i realised it wasn't my face but the way it did it. Thank you so much !!
You did absolutely amazing and your whole entire video was very descriptive and helpful and you made sure to show and explain literally everything, thank you so much!
Love this!!!! My hairs always in a pony tail cos I can't be bothered to style my hair and it keeps hair outta my face. This makes a pony look stylish!! I think you've done one before but it wasn't sufficient (for me) on pinning hair with bobby pins? I've never found a good tutorial with super duper close ups or even diagrams (I'm "special") to see how to twist it in a way that'll keep hair in place. I'm pretty sure that's how I ended up being subbed to your channel but the technique still.alludes me. It's just my request. Maybe an updated pinning tutorial? (Puh-leeese????) Thank you so much. I love your videos. You're so creative!! Xx
Love the DIY hair elastic idea! I have used what they call "hair bungee cords" to do that off and on for many years, but they aren't always easy to find. Your DIY way makes it easy to always have one around!
Sometimes you want to go to an event or look a little more put together but still casual without wearing your hair down. It's not that big of a deal. She really didn't do all that much. Leave out the butterfly clips and hair wrap, and it's still a normal easy ponytail that can be done in a minute.
You’re brilliant! Thank you so much, I wish I had thought of it myself or learned this years ago. The double pony tail looks so polished and also doesn’t put stress on my hairline.
Hekela Well I think she has the perfect hair, cause I have like at least two times her volume but shorter hair and I can't do any hairstyles with it... it always looks bad 😂😂
thank you so so much!! Tomorrow i have an interview for a job and this hairstyle is perfect, plus it looks perfect on me i just love it! i think this will be my every day hairstyle!!
If only my Hair was not so wavy...I like my waves but almost everytime I want to make a ponytail my hair elastic (?) breaks because there's too much hair lol. (sorry if there are grammar errors ,I'm german)
Lilith M. if I buy the really thin hair bands like she used, they will snap easily. I have better luck with the thicker hair bands. I can find ones that are close to my hair color for easier concealing. hth
This made me chuckle. I have thick curly hair so my 20-second ponytail looks as “thick” as her 4-minute ponytail.... We each have different struggles, I guess 😂🤪

The problem is I don't have perfect hair like this! I have really thick hair that just won't cooperate and ends up just frizzing all over my face D:
Exactly!!!
Same
zohalss ..which product you have used for volume?? and frizz control ??
The Mika Express
I've seen your videos. and you have thin hair at least compared to mines
when I do a single braid its legit the size of a man's fist
i had the same problem and i just changed shampoo! you should try until you find the one that is good for you, every hair is diffrent.
That’s definitely a • PERFECT • ponytail! 10 • 10 • 10 !!
Looks great. TFS! I never thought of using a little claw clip in the middle...💕
does a five minute timer count if youre speeding up the video??
+Lauren Kinman The timer speeds up when the video speeds up :). When I edited this video I put the timer on top of the original footage, turned it into a compound clip (Basically glued the timer and footage together), and then sped up the boring parts. The time is 100% accurate.
+Kayley Melissa. okay haha sorry, i was rude... 😬

Thank you so much !!
this worked great to volumise my fine very long hair!!!!!....thankyou so much x
Me; tried back combing.....today I go to college with a comb attached to my hair😏😒
I LOVE this technique for an elevated ponytail!! ❤❤❤
Love this technique! The homemade elastic is brilliant! Thank you for sharing!
Amazing tricks. Thank you. I needed this.

(Puh-leeese????)
Thank you so much. I love your videos. You're so creative!! Xx
I agree. I have the same problem. my hair really doesn't hold on with a few bobby pins. I guess i don't know how to use it :/
Love the DIY hair elastic idea! I have used what they call "hair bungee cords" to do that off and on for many years, but they aren't always easy to find. Your DIY way makes it easy to always have one around!
Best tips I've ever seen!!!
The whole point of wearing a ponytail is that it's hassle free, quick and easy. :)
Sometimes you want to go to an event or look a little more put together but still casual without wearing your hair down. It's not that big of a deal. She really didn't do all that much. Leave out the butterfly clips and hair wrap, and it's still a normal easy ponytail that can be done in a minute.
Exactly, leave out the clips, etc. It's just a ponytail.
The best ponytail trick❤👌
Awesome, I'm gonna try this to school tomorrow 😝😝😝
wow! very clever
also nice vid. very well explained :)
you are very pretty and ur hair is fantastic!
I'm more of a 30 second ponytail kind of gal.
But I'm definitely trying this
Nice ponytail. I'm a boy and I also like to put on a ponytail. Thank you for the inspiration I'm sure I'll make this pretty ponytail.
I have thin hair :(( like literary half of her hair is mine... 0_0

It’s brilliant 👍 Thank you for sharing the tips 💐
So cute definitely doing it tomorrow
Thank you! This is the prettiest ponytail I have ever made ♡. I am so excited to follow more of your vids, as I also have fine hair!
Girl very neat. I thought you was going to do a cool trick with fake extensions but that was quick on the go hairstyle. A way to create an illusion.
I think its lokoking gorgeous.
Best tutorial ever...
Isra Asfu *looking
They know, just a typo probably
Danm 5 minutes to make a ponytail... i take 30 minutes
With all the steps she did though??
30 MINUTES??
I take 30 seconds
I take 5 secs and my ponytail looks like this 💩💩
10 seconds for me
This is so smart, thanks for sharing! I’m so surprised at how many haters there are in the comments...very childish...
Thanks a ton Madame Kayley💞 It was amazing 😘
Thank you for sharing. It's beautiful.
Thanks. Tried it today but with one tie, just with parting the hair. Looks much better ;) Such an easy way and it's so different and prettier.
So genius!!!!
Im gonna make this pony tail for my wedding!
Great video, remember y'all to perfect hairstyles it requires trial & error. ❤
Omg this is a life saver it takes me like 5 hours too do a ponytail huh *imagine my sarcasm*
This is perfection...😃
Whoa... only did a few steps in this and i have the best ponytail of my life
You’re brilliant! Thank you so much, I wish I had thought of it myself or learned this years ago. The double pony tail looks so polished and also doesn’t put stress on my hairline.
You have soooooo much hair! I legit have about 1/5 of your hair thickness...
Hekela Well I think she has the perfect hair, cause I have like at least two times her volume but shorter hair and I can't do any hairstyles with it... it always looks bad 😂😂
Alyssia for me short and thick hair is beautiful but yes... sadly I can't make these.
Hekela I'm really really lots of my hair just like her!
Micah Handford I thought was fine 😨.
Oh okay
I cant even hold my hair together with one hand. Its too much hair.
thank you so so much!! Tomorrow i have an interview for a job and this hairstyle is perfect, plus it looks perfect on me i just love it! i think this will be my every day hairstyle!!
I don’t have enough hair for this, it’s too thin 😭
When she said put bottom hair into ponytail I said that’s how my full hair ponytail looks like 😭😭😭
@@Kuralai95 my gosh I was gonna say the same thing :x
@@Kuralai95 same here 😂
@@Kuralai95 Mine too
Same and also i dont have that much hair i keep losing a lot
very interesting hairstyle and light equipment, a good channel, I like!
Love it! Thanks!
Hi there 👋🏻
If you have *curly hair* you can use this as your cue to leave. 🤗
I can't wait to try this tomorrow! Thanks Kayley, I can't believe you were able to do it so quickly.
Kindness is the best accessory,
Rebecca
This is perfect! Thank you for being slow (vs crazy fast ticktock clips) and explaining it out! Beautiful!!!
5 minutes for a ponytail? I do it like in 5 seconds
Me 2 😂
Kertu Ernits that's great but it doesn't look like her one lmao
+Sophie Yeah i wear high ponytails
+Kertu Ernits me too
Kertu Erni
If only my Hair was not so wavy...I like my waves but almost everytime I want to make a ponytail my hair elastic (?) breaks because there's too much hair lol. (sorry if there are grammar errors ,I'm german)
Lilith M. Wish I had a too thick hair problem👍
Lilith M. - Same here-my hair bands have been known to suddenly pop and fly across the room! 0.o
Lilith M. if I buy the really thin hair bands like she used, they will snap easily. I have better luck with the thicker hair bands. I can find ones that are close to my hair color for easier concealing. hth
same issue.i cut my thick tight socks into elastic bands.problem solved👏
Lilith M. I have really thin hair but it's the same for me though xD
Your hair is so beautiful, hair goals
im sure ariana saw this lol
This made me chuckle. I have thick curly hair so my 20-second ponytail looks as “thick” as her 4-minute ponytail.... We each have different struggles, I guess 😂🤪
Curly hairs...gosh...my rubber band always get struck in them when i try to do ponytails....and between my whole scalp start hurting with such ponytails..
Different people, different struggles.

You couldn't sleep and that's obviuosly boring?
@Helena Jefimovs me too😂😂
Ok I’m following you just for this video!!! Thank you!!!! ❤️
The thing is, my hair goes just underneath my shoulders, is thick (and I mean, VERY, thick), and goes all frizzy the minute it's in a ponytail. 😕
IAMOS IAmMyOwnSenpai is it curly or straight?
