The first time I heard this song I loved it and it progressively grew on me with each listen. And now, after watching this performance, I can assure you that I am deeply in love with it. They are my absolute winners!!!! 12 points from Serbia 🇷🇸❤🇦🇺
Damn, I'm disappointed by Finland's jury for not giving 12 to AUS, but Iceland just did, they know what's up. Juries are pretty clueless all around. They can't tell the difference between a good composition and themes from just a thick audio production.

@@donclark7790 Yeah, even though Voyager got the most votes (149) than all countries in semi final 2 for some reason the public didn't vote the same way in the final. Promise should have been more succesful than Cha Cha Cha with public vote, seems the world is crazy
I'm sorry you lost the prize to Sweden, but you gained one die hard fan from them! Nevermind the ESC, this is a fantastic band but I'd never have discovered them without this apperence.
I voted for them. Sadly people can't seem to get out of their comfort bubbles and voted for a snorefest. This was honestly my favourite this year, with Germany being close second (shocked they ended up last). Greetings from Finland.
This is not just a song; it's FIRE. It's everything I want in a song; so big and earthy and makes me feel like I can do anything. I adore this song with all my heart. My winner this year for sure, Australia 12 points! (I'm really happy that the Icelandic jury gave Australia 12 points.)
I cast a vote in any type of contests for the first in my life... Voted for them 🤘 God what a song, the fact they condensed so much styles in 3 minutes with such class, makes this song a masterpiece.
Regardless of the results, I'm just stoked that one of my favourite bands gets international coverage to show off their talent. So proud of the aussie metal scene!
I loved Australia's song this year! Saw them live at the semi finals and thought their vocals were fab! I put through a couple of votes for them last night, so it was such a shame to see them get so few from the public overall - they deserved so much more! You would have had my 12 points Voyager, well done!
You did amazing guys. You didn't win Eurovision, but you resurrected my love for metal music and I thank you for that. Will be keeping an eye on you from now on ;)
You should be. Wishing you all the best from Scotland. I hadn't heard until a couple of hours ago. That has to be the best Eurovision song I have ever heard. Minus the drum and bass element, there are some Pendulum vibes in there.🏴🤜🤛🇦🇺
Alan Gray, it's quite interesting you say that, Pendulum is from the same city as Voyager. If you listen to the Perth band Karnivool, you will hear similar vibes as well. I think Perth really has a distinctive sound to its live music and the city fosters some of the best Australian music imo.
Listen to that crowd!!!!!! They absolutely LOVED you!!!!! Mega-congratulations on your mind-blowing performance of your totally platinum-star, explosive song!!!!! Real Talent! Top musicians with their OWN song who know how to light up the stage and bring real joy to the world!!! Considering you are outsiders in Europe you did FANTASTICALLY WELL!!!! Didn't watch Eurovision. Went round my parents the following morning, asked them how it was. They said "You'd of liked Australia"...GAWD DAM YES I WOULD, IT'S BLOODY VOYAGER! I apologise for being a bad fan and not knowing you were doing this.
As anyone who appreciates real talent would have been shocked and amused by such a low score. As an Aussie I sadly think we have just become accustomed to being insulted at Eurovision and realise that we will never get a fair go as we are just not apart of Europe 😂Maybe next year we should send Vanessa Amorosi.
@@stephenmarshall1918 Well, this year voting was especially weird so I think your song was appreciated by many people. The result just didn't reflect it but it was same with many songs. AUSTRALIA, you’re definitely #1 for me!!! it’s CRAZY how "promise" just stuck in my head for days 😭 btw, it gives me 00’ rock energy love from Russia 🤲🏻🤍 p.s.. I'm still VERY angry at the viewers for giving Australia such low scores. vocals, music, performance, energy and even words were ON FIRE!!! of course, it's a matter of taste, but in my opinion it was one of the best songs in the last three years 🙏🏻
So happy that our jury gave you 12 points 🙌 so tired of mainstream pop songs, fortunately some countries risk themselves with other music styles. Congrats for your 9th place . Love from 🇵🇹
why this is one of the GREAT Eurovision performances: A proper band, fun but totally professional, who OWN every last inch of the stage ------ a "local" outfit who then become globally known and successful on the back of these three minutes. And of course it helps that the song is a total banger.
Along with Serbia and Finland the best entry this year! What a kickass song! Kudos to all you guys!!! You made my day, week, month, year... life!!! Two thumbs up from Serbia!
@@maxkho00 Its about craziness that song delivers. Its funny, quirky... Unlike the winner Loreen who is generic song, nothing special, nothing new we havent heard before. On the other side, Serbia and Australia are structurally very strong songs, with all the messages, stagings... Much more serious songs unlike Kaarija and Loreen, maybe too much serious for this type of competition. This competition become a competiton for the poverty and hungry masses, as we used to say in Serbia.
What a jubilantly optimistic song. Brilliantly soaring vocals (both lead and backing). Loved the stage set and graphics. A truly stunning performance overall. Voyager utterly smashed it.

So glad metal is somehow finding a way in Eurovision this year!! 🤟🤟🤟
I found the band some years ago at a progressive metal forum and im so proud of their growth! Super happy to see them get global attention on TV, best wishes from Uruguay ❤🔥
Get Well Danny❤❤❤
Lyrics for doctors:
He’s sick tonight
Promise you’ll cure him so he won’t die
Fans are by his side
Promise us it’s gonna be alright🤞
Get well Danny! You’re already an Eurovision legend❤️🩹
Ok that made me cry 😢
I’m praying as well 🙏
The first time I heard this song I loved it and it progressively grew on me with each listen. And now, after watching this performance, I can assure you that I am deeply in love with it. They are my absolute winners!!!! 12 points from Serbia 🇷🇸❤🇦🇺
Same here. I'm Australian but I would LOVE this no matter what country they came from. Brilliant song and performance.
13 points from Finland!
(the 12 goes to our own little banger man)
Damn, I'm disappointed by Finland's jury for not giving 12 to AUS, but Iceland just did, they know what's up. Juries are pretty clueless all around. They can't tell the difference between a good composition and themes from just a thick audio production.
Thankyou Serbia you are now an official mate of Oz
from the uk and i love this kind of music, definitely my top song this year
I voted from Canada 🇨🇦 gave them 20 votes!! I was shocked to see such low audience points 😢
Voted for them from Canada also! Hope Canada is able to take part in the contest one day!
You guys absolutely smashed it. Levels above anyone else there, felt like a massive band just rocked up for a party.
Yes
I still get chills from this performance
This was Australias most 'Eurovision' song. IMO Cha cha cha Number 1, this a close second.
Finally Australia has the best song in the Eurovision Final! Promise we've got this for the win and whether we do or don't it's gonna be alright! 🇦🇺👍🏼👍🏼💯
I think it was the most pleasing song out there.
it wasnt a hard task this year, I'm afraid
You were robbed!
Most underated song of eurovision 2023
Best Eurovision song I’ve ever seen/heard. For the the first time ever I even voted and for them. Gutted they didn’t get the points they deserved.
I voted for them. Sadly people can't seem to get out of their comfort bubbles and voted for a snorefest. This was honestly my favourite this year, with Germany being close second (shocked they ended up last).
Greetings from Finland.
Same here! Never watched Eurovision but since it was being hosted here in the UK I decided to give it a go. My first vote went to them!
I am so happy that Australia joined Eurovision...every year they show what amazing talents they have🎉
So sorry about the televote result guys! You had my vote from The Netherlands. I can't stop listening to this song 🤩
Ze komen in Oktober naar Nederland😁
This is not just a song; it's FIRE. It's everything I want in a song; so big and earthy and makes me feel like I can do anything. I adore this song with all my heart. My winner this year for sure, Australia 12 points! (I'm really happy that the Icelandic jury gave Australia 12 points.)
I’ve never been more patriotic for my country Australia in my life 🥹 so proud
This performance was epic. So much power. I absolutely love it. And what a voice!
This is one of the best song in Eurovision and one of the most addictive songs I've heard in recent years. IT'S SO GOOOOD! ❤
Damn, I feel sad that you only heard 6 songs in your life.
I met the lead singer today!!!
He is SO awesome!
How the flying F did that get only 21 points from public???
People got no music taste or what?
SO THRILLED they made the Top 10, the juries are LEGENDS for voting for this song Aswell as the public, BRILLIANT PERFORMANCE 🤘🔥🇦🇺
Four stage cancer... We love you, australian legend 💔
Stage four, really??? Hope he gets well, do you know what type of cancer it is?
💜
I cast a vote in any type of contests for the first in my life... Voted for them 🤘 God what a song, the fact they condensed so much styles in 3 minutes with such class, makes this song a masterpiece.
Yes same, I have never voted in eurovision before. They were my first ever vote cast. More than well deserved.
Same. I voted in semis
The guitar solo is exactly what Eurovision needs more of.
Regardless of the results, I'm just stoked that one of my favourite bands gets international coverage to show off their talent. So proud of the aussie metal scene!
^This^
I think many an Aussie thinks this way... Its not about the win, its about the effort.
You can be from wherever on the planet, like me Sweden. They are the best band in the world! ❤
100%
Prog Metal at Eurovision Song Contest? I'm all in! Australia you have my 12 points. Huge fan of voyager. I didn't expect to see them here
The best song this year! Actual music. Thanks Australia!
One of the best live performances of Eurovision this year
Fr dude, these guys and Germany were the reason I watched this year ❤
Danny, all will be ok❤
I loved Australia's song this year! Saw them live at the semi finals and thought their vocals were fab! I put through a couple of votes for them last night, so it was such a shame to see them get so few from the public overall - they deserved so much more! You would have had my 12 points Voyager, well done!
You did amazing guys. You didn't win Eurovision, but you resurrected my love for metal music and I thank you for that. Will be keeping an eye on you from now on ;)
we love you Danny ❤ Get well, receive our energy ❤
Get well soon, Danny
I keep looking for updates on his health. I can't believe that he's suffering from the bloody, big C.
Вот как должна была выглядеть тройка лидеров:
1.Käärijä(Финляндия)
2.Voyager(Австралия)
3.Alessandra(Норвегия)
I'm so proud to be an Aussie right now
Same here mate
You should be. Wishing you all the best from Scotland. I hadn't heard until a couple of hours ago. That has to be the best Eurovision song I have ever heard. Minus the drum and bass element, there are some Pendulum vibes in there.🏴🤜🤛🇦🇺
Alan Gray, it's quite interesting you say that, Pendulum is from the same city as Voyager. If you listen to the Perth band Karnivool, you will hear similar vibes as well. I think Perth really has a distinctive sound to its live music and the city fosters some of the best Australian music imo.
You should have at least got the 2nd place, at least. Greetings from Croatia.
Too right mate
Only 21 voting points?
Is this a joke? This song deserve better!!!
WE TOTALLY L❤VE Y❤U!!!!! 🎉💖✨️🎆🌟🎶✨️🇦🇺
Danny, you're going to be alright! Can't wait to see you in London next year. ❤
Didn't watch Eurovision. Went round my parents the following morning, asked them how it was. They said "You'd of liked Australia"...GAWD DAM YES I WOULD, IT'S BLOODY VOYAGER! I apologise for being a bad fan and not knowing you were doing this.
The audience in Finland loved your performance 🇫🇮🤘🇦🇺 You deserved more votes!
Was a 12 from Iceland.
Their reaction when they only got 21 points from the public was priceless 😅
As anyone who appreciates real talent would have been shocked and amused by such a low score. As an Aussie I sadly think we have just become accustomed to being insulted at Eurovision and realise that we will never get a fair go as we are just not apart of Europe 😂Maybe next year we should send Vanessa Amorosi.
@@stephenmarshall1918 Well, this year voting was especially weird so I think your song was appreciated by many people. The result just didn't reflect it but it was same with many songs. I wouldn't take it seriously. They were surprised when they saw it like everyone else cause they know Eurovision well & they knew the song was good enough for the contest. Don't change your Eurovision style. I think you have lots of quality in your music. This year's song of yours was in my top 5 :)
@@annjemari Thanks Anna and yes I know that many like yourself did appreciate both Voyager's talent and their courage to do something a little different. TC
@@annjemari Not weird. Just set up for the abba aniversary next year.
@@Mr_jz_12 I know but the results were weird so that's it
Nice song and great voice! I have one more reason to love this song: frontman's grandfather comes from my native Ukraine. The world is so small at times.
Dear Australia, you did a great job this year!
того в нього обличчя знайоме…
Almost every year there's one act from Eurovision that I end up becoming a huge fan of... just booked to see Voyager in London later this year... can't wait!!!
Thank you Australia for sending the amazing Voyager to Eurovision!! 🇦🇺 What a song and what a performance!! Such powerful rocktastic brilliance with talented musicians, great lyrics and outstanding vocal performance!..Should have won....My winners all day long! ♥️
Killer vocals tonight! Perfect performance 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼🎸🎹
Great job Australia, I gave you guys a vote!! Greetings all the way from the Netherlands :) 🇳🇱
Dankuwel from Australia
Mooi nummer hé
@@tonybarberiettaro6426 Ja! Echt leuk!
Blij meer Nederlanders te zien die dit nummer leuk vonden! Ik heb hier ook op gestemd
This was my favourite song this year. I was so surprised it didn't get way more points from the public.
I'll be following the band closely from now on.
AUSTRALIA, you’re definitely #1 for me!!! it’s CRAZY how "promise" just stuck in my head for days 😭 btw, it gives me 00’ rock energy
love from Russia 🤲🏻🤍
p.s.. I'm still VERY angry at the viewers for giving Australia such low scores. vocals, music, performance, energy and even words were ON FIRE!!! of course, it's a matter of taste, but in my opinion it was one of the best songs in the last three years 🙏🏻
Had two devices here in the UK doing all I could. Wishing all the best to Danny and looking forward to seeing you later this year.
I'm sorry, but a death growl, breakdown, guitar and keytar solo - how the hell this did not get more votes is scandalous!
This is one of the best songs this year. You deserved so much more.
Portugal and Iceland you rock!!!! Thanks so much for the 12 points ❤❤❤❤❤
So happy that our jury gave you 12 points 🙌 so tired of mainstream pop songs, fortunately some countries risk themselves with other music styles. Congrats for your 9th place . Love from 🇵🇹
@@a.m.1259 Mimikat was very good deserved more points than what she got❤❤
I'm so proud of our jury for giving their 12 points to Voyager ❤ It was a top 3 song in our household with Finland and Czechia
Love from Iceland 🇮🇸
why this is one of the GREAT Eurovision performances: A proper band, fun but totally professional, who OWN every last inch of the stage ------ a "local" outfit who then become globally known and successful on the back of these three minutes.
And of course it helps that the song is a total banger.
For me two first places Kaarija and Voyager. They rescued Euro Vision in this year.
Agree
My anger that kaarija didn't win is resurfacing 👹
I for some reason hadn't heard this song before the final. My all time Eurovision performance! I love the 80's retrowave theme
Along with Serbia and Finland the best entry this year!
What a kickass song!
Kudos to all you guys!!! You made my day, week, month, year... life!!!
Two thumbs up from Serbia!
Australia and Serbia were both great, but I don't think I will never understand the hype for Finland's one-note out-of-tune drilling.
Same top!
Serbia ended in very low position, and I don't understand why. The song was great. My 3 favs too.
@@carlospersini6239 My mind cant process that placing too... 😔
What a jubilantly optimistic song. Brilliantly soaring vocals (both lead and backing). Loved the stage set and graphics. A truly stunning performance overall. Voyager utterly smashed it.
This has to be the best Aussie Eurovision song,.
Danny I am sending you all my love and support.
Sound of silence for me
As an aussie, I loved that so much. Amazing performance and in my books, should have won!
at the end of the day top 10 and winners of 2nd semi final is something worth celebrating. if this is our last year in eurovision im happy it was this song, even if this is my 1st year getting super into it. the fact the music video was recorded in basically my backyard makes it even more special, best of luck for the future voyager!!
