I certainly love the simplicity this kit brings, however I do not have this much money to spare for such an upgrade. Is there anyway I can switch out my sync 1 to a sync 3 by buying the screen itself?
Nope unfortunately it does not work like that. The 8" screen will not fit without the OEM bezel which is around $599 itself. Also it needs the brain of the radio the APIM to be swapped and that has to be programmed to the Vin of the vehicle before install. This is kit is not possible without our kit or dealership involvement. Dealers don't typically want to do these type of upgrades and could potientially charge even more then us if convinced.

I’m not sure what I did but I would appreciate if you could provide some insight on what I maybe did wrong. @@Infotainment_nav Oh okay I actually didn’t purchase a kit. I purchased the screen and Bessel from other fusion which was a working sync 3 unit before it was taken out of the other Fusion. I’m not sure if the screen will be compatible with my car or not given that it’s the same Ford tech, but even with a flash programmer I got to boot the system it still won’t boot up. Then I also purchased the new harness and antenna separately which in all cost me about 300 dollars for everything so far. Hi there, it's possible that the ACM (Audio Control Module) could have failed, or the amplifier could have failed. In a lot of cases the ACM is the CD player if your vehicle features a CD player, if you don't have a CD player it's just a tuner. This is technically a separate part of the Sync system. In fact, this video, as all of the 4-8 Sync 3 videos, that module is not changed, just the computer to the radio is changed out.

Have at it. If it were that easy we wouldn't have been in business 14 years. Everyone thinks it's just about the equipment. The modern vehicle is actually a computer network, with the infotainment system being a critical player in that network. There's programming for starters. There's also the wiring. What happens when that radio from the junkyard doesn't work? What if you don't have the theft code? What if the digitizer has been damaged? Who is going to help you with installation issues? (Well that would be us since we showed you how to do it) The junk yard won't take it back. In short, we get this response all the time. We get people who do it the junk yard route. Almost always, they see the value in our upgrade kits after the fact. All SYNC 3 upgrades are $300 off until Wednesday btw.

We feel our pricing is competitive as we are comparing our pieces to the cost of getting a new vehicle as opposed the cost of an aftermarket part whose quality is greatly inferior.

So we don't actually have an install bay but you may find someone in our network near you. Here is our list of installers.

Not as bad as I expected, but I still honestly wish we still live in the old days of simple, fully interchangeable double din and single din.
Oh I almost forgot, I doubt dual zone climate even works.

$2000!!?!? When I can get all the parts from the junkyard for $500. Whats up with that!!??
(Well that would be us since we showed you how to do it)
The junk yard won't take it back.
In short, we get this response all the time. We get people who do it the junk yard route. Almost always, they see the value in our upgrade kits after the fact.
All SYNC 3 upgrades are $300 off until Wednesday btw.
Does the back up camera still work?
Yes.
What if your current model has heated seats?
You will not lose heated seats if you have then currently. This kit however will not add them if you do not.
How much would that cost me ?

I live in las vegas is a little far away from you
I appreciate the video but this is way too expensive to do
We do not sell cheap equipment. We sell OEM quality equipment that is fully tested, pre-programmed and procured based on your Vin. There are plenty of companies that sell cheap products. We want to provide a part that we are able to guarantee works and will continue to work. We are confident enough in the product we sell that we are able to warranty it through installation and up to two years depending on your selection at check out. We feel our pricing is competitive as we are comparing our pieces to the cost of getting a new vehicle as opposed the cost of an aftermarket part whose quality is greatly inferior.
