Wow! Mitchell, thank you so much for such an incredible, thorough, and professional tutorial! Ford directly should hire you. I just bought my Ford Escape Titanium in Ohio and my salesperson barely showed me anything on this system. I couldn't even begin to explain how much more educated you are on the Escape than my salesperson. I found this to be so helpful and the video was so well done. You are very good at what you do and I thank you so much. Hopefully Ford Corporate will see this video!
Thanks so much for the great video. I pick up my 2017 Escape Titanium tomorrow. Even though it has the newer Sync version, this answered some questions that I hadn't recalled when reading the downloaded manual. We lived in AL before moving to south Florida and your desire to help folks is another reason I miss being in the South.

As already mentioned here, the system is very intuitive and easy to find your way around, but this tutorial takes you in to details and shows you some things that you’d never figure out yourself.

Just bought a new Ford Escape 2019 in September 2019. This was an extremely helpful learning tutorial. It was easy to understand, even if you don't speak the Alabama dialect. I tried to learn from the owner's manual, but I just got lost trying to read it. Take the time to listen and to watch this video. I owned a Focus 2012 with the prior Sync system (called My Ford Touch) and this new Sync 3 system is so much better and it operates very fast with no delays. You will fall in love with this system. I do use an iPhone 8 and it works great when connected by Bluetooth or via USB wire. You do have to have the iPhone connected via USB cable for some of the functions to work. Also, the sound quality of music or of Podcasts which are on your iPhone is much better than when playing music via Bluetooth.

Expanding on the already mentioned requests to do Sync 3 review utilizing an ANDROID phone, How do voice commands interface w/ Sync 3 as well as a detailed review of the "APPS" section to include the 70+ compatible apps that might be on an ANDROID device. Thanks for producing these quality video's..
We just upgraded our 2013 Escape SEL which had the old sync system, to the 2016 Escape titanium, and it is great to see the full tutorial for the new SYNC 3. I will have to check if we have the Sirus 5 year free navigation with our new Ford here in Canada. That was one frustration was that initially Sirius was basically useless for us here for anything but a few radio stations, so we never renewed after the 6 month free subscription. It appears that Sirius has upgraded and we can now get traffic, weather and gas in our area. We use Tunein Radio app on our iphone for all the free radio stations we would want, and just use bluetooth or USB to link to the audio. So many great options with this system.

Absolutely wonderful!!!! I have a 2017 Cmax Hybrid Energi and love it but was getting frustrated with the navigation system. You answered a lot of my questions. Now to figure out a few of the engine related settings. LOL Thank you!

Awesome video tutorial and very through walkthru of the new Sync 3 system. SO glad Ford finally upgraded the system as that was the biggest complain on prev gen cars. Hope this helps boost sales and quality scores. Cant wait for my wife to eventually get her new car so we can play with it. Only comment was you didnt show how to add a waypoint when you had 2 destinations (1 in between your final destination) while on the road to Chick-fil-a which would have been a good time to show this feature. Many folks have a route of stops to go to not just one at a time.

Very informative video. I just purchased a 2016 Mustang GT premium. I figured out a lot of things prior to this video. But you helped me out on the remaining functions that I was still researching. Also, all the phone functions work for Android. I am using my Galaxy Note 4 and everything is running seamless

Thank you Mitchell; this video really helped as I just picked up my new Ford Escape Titanium and have been trying to read the manual and it went in one ear and out the other. Great job. One question for you is how does the 4WD work; we have a lot of snow up here and I have trying to figure out how to put her in 4WD?

Great video. I’m seriously thinking about buying an upgrade kit for my 2013 F150 to change it from MyFord Touch to Sync 3. This video helped me decide that Sync 3 is so much better. My only problem is the UI isn’t very attractive.

I live in MinneSnowta where it tends to get really cold for far too long. That being said I currently have a 2014 F150 (waiting on my 2017 Raptor) and with this sync/touch system it doesn't operate very well below 10 degrees. Do you know IF the new system is a little better or like anything doesn't react well to cold weather?

Great thorough Video on the new Sync 3. I'm purchasing a new Escape this week and I have a good question for you on the Navigation system. My question and concern is this: can I import my favorite locations that I had on my current car/nav to the new sync 3? Can I put them on a thumb-drive and then use a USB port on the new vehicle to import them? George

If my vehicle comes with navigation, will it ever expire and become something I have to pay for? I know Ford has some kind of subscription service, but is that related to the navigation system?
Thank you so much for doing such a detailed breakdown of the sync 3. i am really impressed by ford right now. I was disappointed that the Focus RS didn't have the carplay "yet". I read that sync 3 has the capability to run carplay and may in a future software update being that it already integrated with siri. I really could care less about carplay after watch your video though. I find the sync 3 to be way more intuitive and useful than apple's carplay. I am definitely sold on ford. i ended up watching a few more of your videos. the mustang burn out, the top 10 features on the f150, and the wreck of the f150 with the 18 wheeler in which the door still opened. I was completely blown away when you opened and closed the door like it was brand new truck. My only complaint overall, and what i like about my 350Z, is a secondary speedometer being easy to view from the top of the center console so that I don't have to duck my head to see under the steering wheel to be able to see the top half of my speedometer. It is an extremely uncomfortable position for my neck and really takes my attention away from the road. If you all have any clout with the sync design team, you might recommend adding something on the "top" bar of sync which displays your current speed. It would add a huge amount of additional safety with just a little bit of programming to an already incredible system. Another thought about sync 3, Imagine having the automatic cruise control you demonstrated on the f150 and being able to set your speed by a sync 3 voice command. You would never have to look at your speedometer to set or check your speed. I wish you were local so I could actually buy my next car from your car lot. Again very impressed with your videos and by ford motor company. FYI. I have owned dodge, nissan, volkswagen, honda, and a saturn. hey, it was '94 and saturns were cool, i think. lol I am 43 years old and this will be my ford.
Hi. First off I want to tell you that I love your videos. They are awesome! I just recently leased an F-150 from a dealership in NYC and I have learned so much about my truck from you guys. I just wanted to let you know that you can use the apps from your iPhone if you disable the Apple car play. I am not sure if you would want to do that but it is an option. I am not sure if someone already commented on this or not as I have not read through the comments. Thanks a lot town and country ford.
I just purchased the 2016 Escape and learning about it's features, can video be played on the screen from my phone, if not is there an update or upgrade where this can be done.

Great Great video. I have a 2016 Mustang on order and will be getting the Sync 3 system with Navigation. This video is fantastic.. Only question is on the current speed limit display. Is it only displayed when a route is active or is it displayed any time the navigation map is displayed?

Very nice, informative video! Thank you for posting this. I am looking at getting a brand new 2017 Ford Focus ST tomorrow, and it has the Sync3 system. Being that it will be delivered to that dealership and I won't be able to play with the system before signing anything, this makes me very excited to use it! My current 2014 Ford Focus SE just has the regular Sync system and it's not that great. Plus, the Voice button on my steering wheel doesn't work anymore, thus rendering it useless anyway.

Thank you for an excellent video! I'm driving a 2018 Ford Kuga as it's called in the UK but your system is very similar to the UK version and I learnt a lot. One question, did I understand you to say that the system will prompt me when a system update is available via my home wifi? Do I have to manually connect to that or will it pick the wifi up every time I return home? Also, I presume this does not include map updates as I'm not clear how to access those. Thanks again from a damp and dismal UK!
