Needs to be made adjustable setting higher and longer and more behind you for the vertical drop at the point when the club is parallel to the ground. (We don’t see this point in our swing it happens before the shallowing of the club) I also think the idea was to strike hard down on the imaginary ball in orders to get all the other parts of our body cooperating as our club head lags behind our hands to the point of impact through the real ball. Your imaginary ball also needs to placed slightly lower. A little more tinkering with it is needed. Cheers

mr. overhand, would you say that your swing method and the training device is the idea to swing down from the inside or am i just stating the obvious? it has always seemed to me that the shoulder movement to soon throws the swing way outside a good path coming down so your idea to me is to swing down before the shoulders open up. yes maybe.
What you're describing sounds to me like an off axis turn of the shoulders which when done too flatly, like a baseball swing, brings the hands, arms and club way out beyond the ball. From that position it takes tremendous force to drive the arms and club down to where the ball is and then the club is cutting across the ball from out to in. I wouldn't say we swing from the inside, I'd say it's simply flat and on plane. When you swing a baseball bat, we ideally want the bat to be traveling on the same plane as the ball incoming trajectory in order to impart as much energy as possible and the same is true with golf.
Am I getting this right? Since I make a turn on the back swing that is why the downswing starts on the right side of my body along my shoulder line? Basically I’m swinging down on my shoulder line and as I turn back through the ball I am still on that shoulder line, which is now down the target line making a square strong swing. If the initial intention is to get on the target line you will necessarily be over the top. I am sure I am explaining it poorly, but it seems to make sense for me. To answer that question, it's full speed. Well, moderate at first then full. We need the inertia and drag of the club in order for it to move and for us to torque properly. The club is not a weightless stick. Imagine trying to learn to torque your arm as we do when we throw a baseball in slow motion. You'd never really learn to feel and use the torque.
