Two of my favorite comedians. I Met a guy from Australia once. In making small talk he asked what my favorite movie was, I thought about it and said, Joe Dirt. He laughed and said freakin Joe Dirt. Good memory haha. It’s also nice to see comedians interview comedians. I’ve noticed they are more likely to be themselves and does not make it awkward when they say a joke. There is a sense of understanding and respect and they have for one another.
woah, totally cool to see Jim Carrey on the show. i feel like the last decade for him was a tough one, he seemed extremely introspective to the point of almost no return. it’s really good to see him happy and swinging a little more to a joyful equilibrium and retaining his growth but yet he made it full circle. peace to you Jim- we love you man!❤️✨🙏
He had a spiritual awakening. It usually screws people up for a few years before they're able to just chill out and start enjoying life again. I speak from experience.
What I really like about these interactions David has, is that they are 100% genuine. You can tell Jim is himself and he feels comfortable. He's speaking openly to a friend, a person and a human. The fact that Carrey DIDN'T join SNL but instead landed on In Living Color was one of the reasons ILC did so well. That and Jaime Fox. But his characters on ILC were so good and so outlandish that I don't think they would have made it on SNL. He's comedy lifted the bar on all the sketches on ILC. Wayan's brothers and Fox were good too but Carrey was just a rocketship.
Jamie Foxx wasn’t a huge name bc of ILC, nor was he ever the main player. The big breakouts initially were Jim Carrey and Damon Wayans.
