  • They’ve contended with a huge injury list and battled incredibly hard throughout the season - but Luton’s first season in the Premier League has been quite an adventure.
Skipper Tom Lockyer suffered a dramatic cardiac arrest on the pitch at Bournemouth but Ross Barkley has been described as “the best player ever seen in a Luton shirt”.
So can they survive? What about the new ground at Power Court? How big will it be? And will Luton survive the drop financially should the worst happen? It was my pleasure to have David join me again on TalkTV.

As a Luton supporter for over 50 years, I've never been prouder of a hatters side, couple of spankings at the beginning of the season, but since then the lads have refused to be mugged off by anyone, even when city done us 6 - 2 in the cup the lads still kept pushing, reminded me of the black knight in monty pythons holy grail, indomitable spirit and bags of character, agree with the chairman regards Ross Barkley and I have seen a few legends in my time, going right back to Bruce Rioch and Supermac, but Ross is the signing of the season, Im sure we will survive, as the great Pleatey said many years ago, "sometimes the most inspired thing you can do from the bench is hope" heres hoping, come on you Hatters !

Smashing interview. I am so proud of all the players and management team for putting the club back on the footballing map. We might not have won many games but as David has highlighted, we've really taken the game to the bigger clubs and taken them to the wire. As for Ross, without question he has been the best player I have seen in a Luton shirt and we had a strong midfield back in the late 80s. Sadly I feel that the volume of injuries will define our season and the home match against Bournemouth will be critical. COYH!!

Great interview, thank you! Our board are incredible custodians/saviours of our club. David Wilkinson speaks extremely well and eloquently reflects the strong moral foundation from which the club operates.

Luton Town don't realise how many fans they have. They could build a much bigger stadium and fill it.

I don't want to leave Kenilworth Road I really wish we could have done something similar to what Liverpool have done at Anfield. The Oak road entrance is iconic I wish we could have built that into a new stadium design right there and built second tiers on the Bobbers and Oak Road. Imagine if we had bought all the houses on Oak road and turned them into hospitality and then built a second tier over them. The unique atmosphere will go when we move and it will just feel like another sterile Starbucks stadium.

Obviously, Southgate can select a Man Utd teenager but not a proven international player.
