Thanks for sharing. Been mounting fish for a long time but never made a reproduction fish. Think it's about time I do one. These 3 vids as well as the others have been a big help.
I have been waiting for this one! impecible work as always. The liquid latex trick is worth the pricw of admission...way easier than spraying a pattern. I think I'll do that and then soften the lines with the airbrush. Great work. THANK YOU for sharing this!
Idk if possible but would be really cool to see a musky or northern head molded, I always wanted to see how the replica heads are done that people use especially a northern or musky though I’m sure the process is the same for a walleye or bass. Love your videos very helpful keep it up!
What is your preference in paints out of curiosity? I am messing with acrylics and mostly mixing my pearlized and iridescent colors up with mixed success. Just wondering if you are using something specific that is the way you like it off the shelf or if you just hunt and peck through products until you settle in on a recepie?
Since I have retired, I just use what I have on hand which is a Combination of Polytranspar (my pearls), & Woods and water. Never been too hung up on specific brands or colors for that matter, and I often mix colors to get what I want. Thanks for watching
I love watching your shows.
Thanks for watching!
These have been amazing little step by steps. Thankyou 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Nice job. I like the way you did the fin markings. I’m going to try that the next time I have a crappie to mount. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for watching! Price of admission, that's funny as I have yet to make a penny on my videos :)
@@kstenzel2010 I hear you! Great reference. If you ever try to market instructionals I'll be first in line!

Slightly different when dealing with the larger teeth, but perhaps I could do that. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!
AWESOME. Just curious what is ur total cost to create? I realize u have many of the supplies, but if JOE NEWBIE would try what is the cost?
I plan on covering this subject in a future video. Also comparing costs of skin mounts to replicas. Thanks for watching!
Would be awesome to get a video about your airbrush set ups!!!
Perhaps I can do that. Thanks for the suggestion and for watching!

They really pop after glossing. Thanks for watching!
Latex on the fins was a puzzle solver great job as always. What's next
Thanks for watching. I have a perch and bluegill on my workbench ready to paint.
Looking forward to seeing them
U have any white crappie videos out
Awesome
Thanks for watching!
Would u blackin out a steelhead like u do all your fish before you paint it
I prefer to antique all my replicas, even though after layers of paint and scale tipping it becomes very subtle (almost unnoticeable) on some species.
@@kstenzel2010 ok thks
What latex are you using that peels off easily
McKenzie taxidermy supply sells a liquid latex, but for this video I ordered from Amazon. Most any would work. Thanks for watching!
Is the liquid latex u r using mog pog
Not familiar with that. I just ordered a cheap liquid latex from Amazon.
Ok thks
How do you clean off the eye?
A little lacquer thinner on a scrub brush, then polish with #0000 steel wool (but only if eye is glass).
Ain’t they more green ?
That's the great thing about learning to paint your own fish. You can spray as much green as you like. Thanks for watching
This is a white crappie ?
U have any white crappie videos out
This summer I plan on making some more fish painting videos. Perhaps White Crappie will be one of them. Thanks for watching!
