Catching a Bluegill... Then Taxidermying it! (DIY Fish Taxidermy)

  • Back with something new! We caught some canal bluegill and decided to taxidermy them! From catch to taxidermy is what I call this one. Like I said in the video, I am a novice at this, and hope to get better over time.
    Here I go through the entire process from catching to painting a fish to taxidermy. This can be a fun DIY project for you all if you wanted to try. Do it yourself taxidermy is actually not as hard as you’d think! Still very challenging but not impossible.
    If you all enjoy this video, I would be up for trying some different species to taxidermy in the future. Arizona fishing is full of species I would love to try.
    Fish taxidermy is a fun way to preserve your catch for a lifetime. I plan on possibly giving this one away when I hit 10k subscribers!
    If you all enjoyed this fishing to taxidermy video a like is greatly appreciated. This took me about a week and a half to make, so any support it greatly appreciated.

    i went to a hunting/fishing store and they had a ton of huge shiny taxidermy fish on the walls .. i thought they had to just be models because i had no idea how a fish could be effectively preserved like that. this is a good video you are funny and a good teacher👍

      Those were most likely replicas, replicas are no different from taxidermy other then they don’t use the parts of the animal. They have all the measurements, aswell as they last so much linger

    I hate the Internet because I’ll say something out loud like I wanna do fish taxidermy, and then I get this video recommended to me. It’s not that it’s a bad video and I really like the video. It’s just the fact that these corporations are doing creepy shit like that that pisses me off.

    • @BAYERNEMPIRE
      @BAYERNEMPIRE Год назад

      @@TheFishinMagician20 to be fair me neither! But hey worth a shot I suppose. I think you could pretty much sow up the whole fish and leave just enough room for the straw (like inflating a balloon). Once you fill it let it fill the crevices. If you overshoot you can squeeze and form the fish up and the excess could come out the open hole you have.
      I also think it would be a much more natural look since it would fill all the cavities that is made when carving that traditional foam won’t hit.
      Of course once it starts to set you can make final touches and then viola!
      I’d like to see a video of you trying it out. It could become the new best thing.
