Rita is one of the all time greats. I've always enjoyed her work.
A millennial recently complimented me by saying “Hey, you're in great shape, you’ll live till you’re 76”. I smiled, thinking--Yeah, that’ll be in about 9 months. She speaks for all of us.
If this person was a doctor I would be worried. They have systems built by people like me to feed in data and predict life expectancy. So if you have a bucket list, get cracking.
One of the best age comments I remember hearing came form one of my son's school friends in nursery age.
She was asked how old she thought the headmistress was, a lady near or possibly past retirement age. Her response " I don't know. Really old, like 16!" the number delivered with real feeling as if this was prehistoric. She couldn't have made every parent there feel older if she had tried.

Doesn't matter. Rita ia as beautiful now as she was back in the 70's. Maybe more so.
The compliments thing reminded me of a few things in my life. Most very old from my single days but a few later, when I needed to be sure the wife didn't kill them.
I have on a number of occasions had women ask me to turn around to imprvoe the view. It is nice to have them think I have a nice butt, however less pleasant to think it looks better than my face.
I am naturally quite lean so when I was training to look pretty had a nice 6 pack even when relaxed. I noticed this seemed not to help when I was out because it was hidden under a t-shirt so the less lean with bigger arms got the attention. When I commented on this to a woman I was with she said I looked better naked but when that was happening it was generally low light anyway so didn't count.
I was one of those people who aged fast in youth and remember being out somewhere with my mother who was being told by someone that she didn't look old enough to by my mun, more like my sister. She thought that was great, until they guessed her age above what it was. WHen she turned to me saying she didn't know what I was laughing at they must think I was a lot older than I was, I was fine because I knew I hadn't worn well.
One thing life taught me is I am evidently a lot smarter than I look because of the amount of women who having talked to me seemed surprised I can string a single sentence together let alone be relatively sharp. The number of them who have disappeared withing short time because I was too smart for them made e realise I must look really dumb.
A woman I was with for a while who likewise knew her face aged her badly remembered being given the compliment 'Nice legs for an old bird' turned and commented on them giving with one hand taking from the other and found out she was younger than them.
I think one of the compliments I used to hear a lot and corrected to a point where I lost good opportunites was how much fun I was. I was the person doing crazy stuff right in the centre of the spotlight, but unlike most this mad, I don't drink or use narcotics, I am just that person. When pointing this out ot people I have asked how long it would take before Mr. Full on Energy Machine got real old, the answer was usually very fast. On the few occasions it wasn't though I found people as mental as I was.
I was cycling to work and had my 'package' complimented, then responded with that being why I was so happily married. The embarassment of the group was hilarious. As stated before I look thick so people are rarely ready for a quick response.
