jdean813 - we can't forget Ellen - she's been the queen of down-to-earth, relatable, non-vulgar, non-political, story-telling comedy!! If she's had her troubles lately, that's a shame, and I hope she comes back to the person she was - and hopefully still is underneath - but she's been dealing with no private life and the meaner public for a LOOOOONG time now! Maybe she needs a break in the worst way - but she's had me literally on the FLOOR crying real tears from laughter, telling her stories about every-day life!! She's so talented - let's root for her, even though we also appreciate the new comedians with her brand of comedy : Leanne... Rita ... Nate Bergatze ... they were probably all inspired by her!
@@BAfan-tt9zl Ellen started her stand-up career 4 or 5 years after Rita, so it is more likely the other way around. They were both very good straight away, but no comedian, male or female has better timing or subtler delivery than Rita
@@geoffoconnor3487 Thank you - I didn't know the timing. But they are all master story tellers, with great timing - simply hilarious without relying on shock factor or "edginess". I love them all!!
I've loved Rita for more than a decade, and Leighanne more than a week, and they are both terrific! Bring me more!!!

They are equal in my opinion. Leanne’s accent is great, and Rita pulls in some great zingers. I like that they are both reserved and don’t have to get to filthy to get a laugh. A pleasant experience to listen to either one.

You got to be kidding! They are both amazingly funny! And to be that funny and still keep it clean, just makes it that much better! Now Rita has stood the test of time. Where as Leanne is still the newcomer. So on that merit alone, I guess if I had to pick one, it would be Rita.

Have you been all over the south? When I was young, I lived in WDC, which is heavily skewed southward, and there was a young woman who told me that when when a person says y’all, that signifies one person, and that when you’re talking about more than one person it’s all y’all. I never looked back with that one.
@@everwhat013I have seen her in person. She is from southern middle TN and most def does not exaggerate her accent. That’s just how we talk. I can’t stand to hear a fake southern accent. Hers is totally normal for someone raised in these parts.
Just listened to an interview on Fresh Air. LM said at one point when her career was not getting better, her husband suggested a voice coach. That people dismissed her as a hick. And LM said no, she’d rather be authentic and if people didn’t like her as she was, so be it.

I totally understood when Rita said she didn't want to look great from the back and then turned around and frightened people. I worked with a woman who was probably in her mid-60's but she was very slim and her hair was in a style like a young woman would wear and from the back she looked like a 20-something girl. THEN she would turn around and there were so many wrinkles in her face that it was absolutely shocking. She looked every day of her 60-plus years. The sad thing is that the youthful way she dressed and wore her hair looked great from the back but it made her look even older when you got a look at her face. I don't think anyone was ever rude enough to tell her and I guess she thought she looked great...and she did, until you saw her from the front. Rita nailed it.

I love both..😆 Rita tells fictional jokes that are crazy, Leanne tells you her personal truth, hilariously.
Both are so funny. The material is a little deeper and well thought out by Rita, that’s why she would take the prize. LeAnn is great but still has a ways to go to add variety in her routine.
Finally some female stand up comics who are truly funny! Especially Leanne, she's a hoot!

There is no competition, Miss Morgan is the best, she's in a class all by herself, she's different and she cannot be compared to anybody else. There's only one Leanne. And I'm an older woman and I can remember all of her jokes, period i watched her religiously since she hit the internet. Again, she cannot be compared. She's a different breed. And those facial expressions! 😂 Leanne may be the princess of hot flashes, but I'm the queen! 😂 Surgical menopause at the age of 28 is not for the faint of heart. Imagine getting every menopause symptom there is. Now, imagine getting them ALL at once, 2 mo after surgery. I was a walking, sweating (I could wring out my pjs), basket case. I thought I was losing my everything mind! True story!
