      @@nanaygara9838 may interview dapat kami dati sa nurse na nag transition into medicine...kaso hindi na cya nag reply 😅. The 2nd wave happened na busy ata hehe

      Hi! Can you work as a specialist in UK if tapos na ng residency? Is there an age limit for application of specialist?

    Summary:
    1. Take and pass IELTS
    2. Book for PLAB test (part 1 written; part 2 osce practicals). Note: PLAB will be replaced by UKMLA by 2024. UKMLA part 1: AKT (applied knowledge test) part 2: CPSA (clinical and professional skills assessment)
    3. Apply GMC registration (certificate of good standing, prc, diploma)
    4. Apply job via NHS jobs, get whatever job at least 50 or more to get interviews. Certificate of sponsorship
    given thereafter to apply for working visa.
    5. Apply tourist visa to take PLAB exams. PLAB exam locations: Manchester, Australia, UAE
    6. Costs: IELTS ~12k, plab 1: 240gbp, plab 2: 879gbp. Note: PLAB will be replaced by UKMLA by 2024. UKMLA part 1: AKT (applied knowledge test) part 2: CPSA (clinical and professional skills assessment). Tourist visa application. Airfare. Pocket money.
    7. Join groups (Filipino IMG's in UK)
    8. Maximize time and apply for jobs for experience while waiting (teaching, research, clinicals etc2).

      @@krizellefernandes653 It requires the post grad internship with no gaps (more than 6 months to 1 year) from the time of graduation.

      yes you can, ive met doctors here in UK who are doing fellowships but you need to gave GMC registration

    Ask ko lang po, what if sa pilipinas ako nagtapos ng pediatric residency. Pag apply ko for UK, junior doctor ulit ako or I can practice as pediatrician?

      you have to take plab or mrcpch to be able to register at GMC and get license to work here in UK. matagal ka na ba consultant?

      up, curious din ako dito kasi if you take usmle during your med school years there is a chance na makapag residency in US but in UK idk the process

      @@radtech2612 MD pa rin kac that’s my degree, MBBS sila because that’s their medical degree ( hindi sila post grad like pinas or US), what matters is the GMC registration, i got it because i have FRCR ( fellow royal college of radiology) that’s my specialty

      @@MyLifeOffDuty i did Radiology residency, took the diplomate boards sa oinas and then started my FRCR ( fellow royal college of radiology) a couple of years after my DPBR. may mga internal med friends ako they took the MRCP naman.

      true, pero actually more expensive yung pathway ng USMLE.

      there are many pathways you can take para maka register as doctor in the uk. once you are registered in GMC, there are lots of hospitals in need of doctors, you have high chance of getting a placement.

      @@conconshealthdiary1153 how did you got your registration in GMC i am planning to have a subspecialty training in uk i pass my oet and my PMQ is still on process in ECMFG-EPIC do i need to take PLAB first instead?

      @@TravelDockie i did my radiology residency in Pinas. then i took FRCR exams (royal college of radiology). after passing FRCR, i am eligible to register na sa GMC, paperworks na lang at personal appearance to confirm identity. once u have GMC registration, you can look for work or training post na here in UK.
