In this video, it's an up-close look at the 2020 Toyota 4Runner TRD suspension system in action, and a look at why it gave me such a big smile. If you're a gearhead after an up-close look at the TRD PRO suspension system, including Fox Racing shocks, this is the suspension demonstration video for you!

I love my TRD Pro. I bought it for the Fox suspension.
I bought mine for the army green
Excellent video
Got the deal of the century on my 2019 4R TRD Pro brand new at $45K. Improved the sound system with an Alpine ILX-F309 media head that can control my lights and winch, replaced the underperforming headlights with Morimotos and blacked out the tail lights with USR units, and made a host of other mods and still paid less than some 4R TRD Pro owners. Why? I didn't mess with the suspension. If you want Icon or King suspensions, get an SR5 an build it up. Throw on fake TRD Pro badges and a grille if you must. But if you get the real deal, enjoy it for what it is!
What about Jose dive when breaking on road?
I was thinking of purchasing the TRD Fox Shocks to upgrade for my 2020 4Runner Off Road Premium. Do you think that is a wasteful enhancement? I was also thinking of replacing the all terrain tires with super quiet all season highway tires. I’m thinking the combination of the Fox Shocks and highway tires would equal a supremely soft and capable ride.
What are your thoughts?
I have a lifted sr5 to do my own build, and it rides smoother than almost every mercedes ive ever ridden in
Nice vid and ride... Buuutttt the pro is a $10k option... Get an offroad spend $5k in suspension and u r above and beyond the pro and have $5k more in your pocket
ezeNdog that’s what I did hehe
It's not just the shocks. They're charging you for the exhaust, skidplate, tires and rims. All designed to work with the tires and rims. Just the right weight.. When you add up the fee for installation and products that's another 5k. Exhaust is about 2k and the skid plate is another 500. Tires and rims are about 2500
@@aky19832001 is it even an exhaust or just the muffler tip?
Too bad they are chasing Wrangler's asking price without a modern engine and transmission. I suspect the Gladiator Mojave will be similar but even more $. I really like the TRD Pro but sorry Toyota, I'll keep my FJ Cruiser until it dies. Funny that now that FJ is discontinued, the Wrangler is taking off and Ford is going to produce the Bronco. I think they were way too quick on the trigger with that one. The Wrangler 2-door is too small and the 4-door too big. The FJ was just right. The 4Runner was close but FJ was goldilocks.
I remember a lot of fun times with the FJ as well. And I definitely like the new Wrangler and Gladiator much more than this on the highway. for me, where and how I drive, the 4Runners ride quality just blows everything else out of the water.
Too bad your actually watching a Toyota Review under your own power mentioning a Jeep money pit vehicle .... attempting to discredit the most durable SUV ,,Vehicle period ....4RUNNER needs no gimmicks or fake commercial fun time splashing in the mud with models .
@@CP-kb1du Which part of "I really like the TRD Pro" did you not understand? What I said is its a lot of money for a 5 speed transmission and 10 year old engine. Did that hurt your feelings? If so I apologize.
@@denisleblanc4506 yeah but you can get million miles from them over a fiat modern engine lol
Traded in my 2015 Mod 4runner for a 2020 magnetic grey Pro. Loving it..
Great color, useless roof rack. I noticed they were too cheap to put in a CD player this year.
Merlin Jones I haven’t seen anyone use a CD players in years
