PCS moves can be overwhelming, but they don't have to be. To help you prepare for your upcoming PCS move we asked Brittani Krebbs of Britt + Conn to share her top tips for military families that are PCSing.
Good video🙂
Big problem i see is customer's are never ready. Get rid of all none allowables. Explosives like /all cleaners/hairspray/perfume etc/open liquids/plant's/dirt/ buildings materials/wood/concrete
Open food/ trash/dirty clothes washed/tvs off walls /or anything on walls or windows. Shower curtains must be pulled down. Irons empty water bottles and shampooers. And anything else that has water in it. Mold issues if ignored.
Thats just a little bit.
You have a list to do before packer are dispatched out.
Have the list done the night before packers arrive. It helps so much
Never pre pack. Items have to be inspected for any damage so they can note that down or take pics of damage.
Great video. 👍
"Thankfully, we had purged before..." (22 years Army) It is so tempting to let the movers pack up everything and deal with it later - except later there will be other things to deal with. The hardest thing was deciding what you will need upon arrival (and will fit in the car), and what you won't need for (weeks..., months... ? ever?) my stuff was lost temporarily when the 18-wheeler broke down and the driver abandoned it). Of course, for unmarried junior enlisted this is all moot; you can take anything that fits in two duffle-bags (or so it was back in the day).
What do you suggest we take pictures of? When documenting items in our home?
You got hacked bro?
Ive never heard of PCS
It is an acronym for the US Military
or you orders show up, in 2 weeks you have to report, and travel cant get your stuff out of country for 2 months. leaving you and you family living on the floor.
Same lol
