As a young Broadcast Journalist with Radio 3 KZ, Melbourne, I was lucky enough to spend time with Police and a truck load of other Journos, chasing Ronnie Biggs through the Hills around Melbourne. We didn’t find him but just, “being involved” was sensational !

In every one of the big daring heists it's always the muffed 'get away' that gets them. They plan the heist to a tee and give the get way short shrift.

... as a German Biologist - in my Youth.... the German TV Series on the train robbery was HUGE fascination. “Die Gentle Men bitten zur Kasse” The Delusion is - those were no “gentle Men” - they tried to be maximum efficient for a smooth military operation - inspiring another not so “gentle Man” today...
It also shows, no matter how smart you plan anything - there is always the Human factor - not sticking to the plan. And even when you escape - you are on the run and lose quickly everything. Not about “morale” - but the Art of War - and how to live a peaceful life in humble modesty. Stress is the major killer...

In 50 years time The Great Train Robbery will still be being discussed, since Ronnie Biggs sadly passed away last month, only Four Great Train Robbers are still alive today, Mike Gray (Author: The Great Train Robbery Quiz Book) January 2014.

Yes, and be proud that your relative inflicted an injury on the train Driver who never got over it and his mate who died a young man due to the trauma he endured! Try thinking before you make CRASS comments!

@@telmas7183 well the train driver was the one part I thought was bad, but still I do love it when thrives get away, the common man funneling wealth away from the wealthy man, despite the odds being stacked against him. For years our betters suck up the wealth of the land and its people whilst chanting on a constant basis how we should never want or be jealous...or steal. It's just nice when out of the flock jumps a daring dog.

Its not evidence. None of it. The bottle for instance could have been touched by several people before it got to the farm. As for most of these things. It certainly dosnt put you at the scene of a crime and dosnt even prove you was at the farm.
