My kids bought me 6 laps in one of these for my 50th birthday. It has always been a dream of mine to put my foot to the floor of a Nissan GTR. I was not disappointed.

The Nissan GT-R is the pinnacle of automotive engineering.
Lancer. No it's not lol. There are many cars that are far more engineered than that Nissan. The LFA for example or the AMG GTR. And many more.
If we're talking automotive engineering, the pinnacle of that you won't find in consumer automobiles.
It depends where you draw the line on "automotive" but formula one racing, submarine construction, special air travel and whatever Nasa's doing right now are probably more advanced.
That being said, i think the LFA and GT-R are both absurdly well thought out for a roadgoing car. (The AMG GTR isn't quite on *that* level i think, even though that traction control system is pretty spectacular)

This! This right here is why I love cars. It's such a fun experience to share with people. I have a Taurus sho twin turbo with some work done to it and the kids and wife love it! I know that it doesn't compare to a gtr. However, it's still fun. I let my 8 year old son drive it ina massive parking lot and do doughnuts in it and he was smiling from ear to ear! Ray. You changed these people's lives. It's incredible that you share that type of gift with them. Some of those people may never have an opportunity to be in a machine like that again! It's definitely something they're going to remember for the rest of their lives. Well done mate. Well done indeed.

Man this brought a smile to my face. Personally I like both the R33 and R34 better as far as looks go, but the GT-R is just an absolute triumph in engineering. Plus, the launch control brings some genuinely funny reactions to us all, so what's there to complain about? :D Maybe one day I can afford one as well, though to be entirely honest, I'd spend the money on something build in the USA sometime between 1967 and 1970, even if they are far slower off the line. Personal preference, and I'd still love to experience the launch control for myself, and piss myself laughing at how awesome it feels.

I got to drive one of these at the weekend, an Audi R8, Porsche GT, Ferrari Modena and a Lamborghini, and I have to say the best experience was the Nissan GTR, the power was incredible!
u clearly must not be a true drivers car, in no way an all wheel drive car is more exciting then Lamborghini or a carrera gt.

original design of gtr, wasn't meant for "launch control". it's to get off from situations where u will get stuck like mud or snow.

A lot of Nissan dealers won't cover any damages caused by the launch control.
It may be a feature for you to use yes, but comes with a risk.
