Imo he does indeed need if we are talking about game sonic. Archie sonic obviously doesnt, but game sonic, although he could tank saitama's hits, wouldnt have any powerfull enough move to defeat him.
@@silverstar1614 unless SEGA said that sonic X is canon to the games (last I checked I don’t think they ever said that) then that means this is a composite version of sonic if that’s the case then yeah sounds like it might not have even needed a different form dark sonic only appears in the sonic X anime.
