How to fold down the windshield on a Jeep Gladiator and install sound deadening.

I folded down the windshield on my 2020 Jeep Gladiator for the first time today. I did this to install some sound deadening insulation around the frame of the windshield. Hopefully this will help with the wind noise and road noise entering the inside of the truck.

I have never done it, but it would be interesting to get some backer rod. Any concrete supply or commercial caulk/weatherproofing type store has it. 1/8 inch to 1 inch or even larger. A huge roll (maybe 200 feet) is 14 bucks (guessing, its been a while since I bought any). Its grey, flexible, waterproof, etc. (think pool noodle) and NON adhesive. You could stuff a layer of 3/8 in every crack and crevis with the windshield up in less than 3 minutes. Way less evasive and NONpermanent and it would fill every gap there is around the windshield. I am sure with some 1/4 inch double stick tape you could make it stick as well in areas where mass and expansion didn't keep it in.

I took the seats out and put quite a bit on the floor under the carpet.
