Debra made some of the best movies of my generation. She's an incredible actress. I hope to see her in more movie roles. She's one of my all-time favorite actors. Truth in her voice.
I have never seen unselfish sexual love (not porn) expressed in the way Paul -Debra Winger- does, it was as if she could eat him. Then the final factory scene. The best ever film ending. Great film.
I have loved Debra since I was a 12 year old girl. I idolized her personality and her natural beauty in particular. I'm 47 now and I still adore her dearly. Her acting style and demeanor are like no other in Hollywood. She is truly a legend of our time. Personally, she's among my top 5 best female actresses of all time. Absolutely amazing. She puts me in awe every time I watch her on the screen. Undoubtedly one-of-a-kind! Much love, Debra. 💗
i was there at the university when she did the film Terms or Endearment.. i was a student there from 1982 till 1987 at University of Nebraska, Lincoln. I love Lincoln so much!!!!
Yeah I think she has changes her looks, like botox etc. But we all do at some point. It just saddens me bcuz that part if her is over and it is a sad thing when something so legendary and branded changes their mark. Makes me sad.
Hot damn, this woman is like fine wine. Always nice to see when a woman ages gracefully and naturally rather than injecting her face or feeling the need to alter their face to the point where they become unrecognizable!
But that's exactly what she did. That isn't natural. She has had face lifts. This is why she looks so different and is completely unrecognizable. What you're saying is exactly backward. I did not even know it was her til I heard her speak. Thank God that hasn't changed. I still love her anyway. Always will.
C J that’s a damn shame women feel the need to do that when someone like her is so naturally stunning. Whatever makes a person happy I guess. She still looks great so good for her!
I love her as an actress, I love all her movies but it’s clear seeing her interviews that she is soooo difficult. Not shocked that she had issues with people she’s worked with. As far as the interviews, why does she bother? She seems so bothered yet she does it. After seeing several of her interviews over the years, it makes me see her differently. Urban Cowboy is not favorite Debra winger movie but she’s awesome in all of them.
If you're a Woman...You're "Difficult!" If you're a Man..."You've got Balls" and get Promoted! She is a Strong, Amazing Woman from what l Surmise...Respect! 😘
@@bonniebester606 That's what I see too. I just watched a 2017 interview with her on Stephen Colbert's show. She's funny, intelligent, articulate, maybe a little too vocal in her honesty, but if you filter all that through your formula above, she's a kick-ass woman. I think of someone like Jennifer Lawrence as this generation's Winger.
I love how people are assumed "difficult" because they have the moxie to be themselves and not like the rest of the Zombies out there. This comment is pretty pathetic. I guess anybody who isn't like you must be rejected automatically. Sad way to live seeing as how God made everyone unique. She just chooses to have the ballz to pull it off. She is awesome!
I really like her and can't believe that interview after interview no one brings up her stunning performance and dance scene in Cannery Row with Nick Nolte. I really missed her when she left the movie industry.
Perhaps a remake of Terms of Endearment with Deborah playing the Shirley McClain part and Emma playing the daughter with cancer. That would really be something.
I really Missed seeing D. Winger on Screen, thought it was a Big loss when u didn't see her again! STILL wish she'd come back on, if.. she has the right Role for herself! Otherwise, 'I get it.'
She just couldn't accept Bette Davis' compliment. She had to make a jab - tacky. I love Winger's performances, it's when she's being Debra that I am not a fan.
Well I just want to let the view know that Debra winger just knocked Marie Osmond one spot down to take the lead spot on my "old chicks that still look sexy" list.
First of all I hate the view second of all I love Debra Winger. She is beautiful even still today and she looks great but I just wanted people to know that this video is from 2008. From the comments I have a feeling people think this was recently maybe. But again I looked her up earlier today and she does still look good just a little older!
I don’t know why people don’t like her. I’ve always loved her, I think she is real but different. She cringes at flattery and exaggeration because she doesn’t take herself too seriously. I am sure she enjoyed acting but not all the “fame”, gossip and everything else that goes with being a Hollywood star. One of her movies that is never mentioned and that I’ve always loved is Legal Eagles with Robert Redford.
Weird that no one mentioned her first on-screen role as Wonder Girl opposite Lynda Carter. I think Winger is still reluctant to talk about the character she played on the Wonder Woman tv series.
They were probably told not to bring it up, or she simply refused to talk about it prior to the interview occurring. Most people don't realize that actors/actresses are given a list of the questions prior to going on stage, so they can decide if they want to say no to some of them or not. It also gives them an opportunity to figure out how they're going to answer any questions prior to getting on stage - so none of these interviews are as spontaneous or on-the-spot as people think. Whether it's common knowledge or not, Debra Winger loathed the part of Wonder Girl and she used all of the money she made on Wonder Woman to buy her way out of her contract so she wouldn't have to appear in anymore episodes. Prior to this even happening, Warner Bros. had been planning to spin Wonder Girl off into her own series starring Debra, of course, but she turned it down - so that was the end of that. Debra Winger was, and still is, a very ungrateful person.
Trev L Thanks Trev for the info! I heard that too about Winger turning down the WG spinoff. However, it didn't make sense in the season 2 premiere of Wonder Woman that before she returned to America in 1977, there was NO mention of Drusilla before Diana left the island again. It was as if the character had never existed. In addition, I watched a documentary on the Wonder Woman tv series where Lynda Carter said that she was intimidated at first by the Wonder Girl character. Maybe Carter didn't want the WG character brought into the 70s. It would have been nice if the producers had decided to pick a new actress to play Wonder Girl like Kathleen Beller (Kirby from Dynasty). Beller looks exactly like Donna Troy. The writers could've came up with an idea in the season 2 premiere where Diana saves a baby girl from a burning building before she leaves America in 1945. Then, Wonder Woman brings the baby girl to Paradise Island to be raised by her mother, the Queen. When it is decided that Diana must return to America again, we see her telling her little sister aka Donna Troy, that she has to go. Then in season 3, Kathleen could have made a few guest appearances as the new Wonder Girl making "us" forget about Drusilla from season 1. Besides, Donna Troy is her little sister in the comic books not Drusilla.
Lynda Carter was really pissed off at her especially complimenting her graciously. Debra made this horror story about her and called her a Diva. Lynda Carter even embraced her when Debra was having a rough time in her life. For her to sahly that was a slap in the face. Debra has apologized, but Lynda Carter really didn't care.
Legal Eagles killed her career. She had a lot of momentum with Urban Cowboy, Officer and a Gentleman, and Term of Endearment but one bad stinker broke broke it all.
Debra made some of the best movies of my generation. She's an incredible actress.
I love her voice.... Officer and a Gentleman is my all-time favorite movie.
I love Bud and Sissy.
She was always awesome and always will be. Her laugh is infectious!
Great actress and very good voice love that voice.

Love Debra Winger sooo much! ❤❤❤❤
That little boy in Terms of Endearment is so heartbreaking
ahhh yes I remember him to this day...cried in the cinema watching the scene with the children by her bedside..sobbed actually. .loudly!
Ungracious crack about Bette. She wound up on the view with Botox.

Yes, just watched it months ago. Great film.
For sure! Great movie Great acting!
She deserved Oscar nominations for Black Widow and Betrayed
Loved that movie.
I can't seem to bring myself to watch Terms of Endearment ever again. It's just too heartbreaking
Such an underrated actress. She truly is A list all the way.
Very true. 😃
"Underrated" is an overused term on RUclips, like from a bot. She scored 3 Academy Award nominations, so I'd have to disagree.
She’s not “A” list,,,,,, she was a miserable, unbearable witch who was blacklisted due to her behavior.
That’s the truth Snowflake.

So fascinating to hear she started out in Stand Up. It fits her dry wit and intelligence. Gosh l love her films and l love her acting
Debra Winger has been my crush since Wonder Girl.
I am from Brazil and she is beautiful
She is hilariously outspoken.
Which I deeply admire.

I love Debra’s voice, she has a deep voice but still very feminine ...
I always find it very sexy
