I wonder how many people who have played Portal 2 don't know about PotatOS Lament, since it is a tad remote; only plays on the menu when your last save was in an Act 3 map. Regardless, a very nice, quite atmospheric take.
I just found out about it two minutes ago. i was on the this title screen the other day but i just assumed it was a different version of the turret opera
I just barely found out about this track, after years of playing, I can’t believe there’s still more to be found in this game. It’s like discovering a priceless hidden treasure while exploring a well known cave.
@Impromptu Sunset I think that video is edited. I loaded that map and could not get the song to play, and upon examining the map file, I don't think any of the sound entities in it even reference that song.
So the best part of Portal 2 is that all it's sounds are OST. If you listen to the lasers it's a song, the same if you are using the aerial faith plates or going through a tube or even if you listen to a wall.
This was probably my favourite remake in Chapter 3, and that's saying something considering Music Of The Spheres 2 was in there. I love the unused sound file and the metal pad at the end
It almost sounds like she’s mourning, right? And I can’t blame her: she’s lost everything, been humiliated in front of her nemesis/crush, is probably about to die a slow death by bird or slow death by Wheatley blowing the place sky high, trapped at the bottom of a forsaken ruin, with no mobility of her own. I’d be mourning, too.
This was more sad than creepy, still really good though.
Using the unused vocals for the remix was a creative move
Great as always Vandoorea
Wait, unused vocals?
@@sipeb587 In the files for Portal 2, there is an unused version of PotatOS Lament call "sp_under_potatos"
@@sipeb587 yes. in the game files there is unused dialouge. that perfectly matches the original potatos lament

Never play portal 2 before but this OST is just so melancholic and chilling at the same time

god this theme will always be amazing. so sad and dreadful, a real low in the portal game. miss it so much. amazing stuff

Bad ending: the facility above was destroyed and you are trapped old aperture
i fell asleep to this song, usually i can only sleep to one specific song or just silence
Strong melancholic vibes, really dig it!

you why would she have a crush on chell or wheatley it just nemesis for both of them
Pretty sure it'd just be nemesis, I don't think glados has a crush on chell nor Wheatley.
Remember: hate ≠ love.
It's definitely crush, I know Yuri when I see it
@@freddieneesam9507 a physical crush, as in "i am going to crush you"
Love how parts of the vocals sound like the end turret song
This really gives those portal 1 vibes
sad potat
sad potat indeed
sad pota
Call me crazy but i find this relaxing
Yay! Vandoorea back again with the amazing music! Please put the portal music on SoundCloud please🥺 your work is phenomenal
What should have been vaguely audible once we are in the same room as Potat0s
Not creepy, but very nice and atmospheric.
honestly i prefer this better than the original
Not really creepy, but I enjoyed it. Great work still!
Gman is gone.
As if the original was not creepy already. 😆 After all, "Lacrimosa" is a part of a requiem - a funeral song.
It gives me flashback from cyberpunk post depression after completing the game
I want a version of turret wife serenade in this style
GlaDOA singing
Abyss
Cool
DO A LOVE AS A CONSTRUCT
Sounds more like an orchestra.
I got Gaensehaut by listening. Just beautiful...
