If she was a hero she wouldn't have raised a potential mass shooter in the first place.

I can't imagine how hard that was for her. But that action saved many lives, most of them kids, starting with her son. Who would've been spending life in prison or dead.

Wow. I can so empathize with this mom. I had to make a similar decision 20 years ago regarding my daughter and meth addiction in which the only option open to me was CPS (many of you can figure out how that worked out 😢).
Twenty years later: one of her sons (my grandson) ….to make a long story short; I had to report my grandson to the police and the Prosecuting Attorney for talking me into depositing a $1000 check (supposedly it was a check for a job he was scheduled to do). He collected the money and about 5 days later my bank notified me that account for the check was closed. My grandson is addicted to meth, pot, cocaine: heaven only knows what else. He has been hearing voices, he is narcissistic, taken advantage of my being his grandmother. Has stolen from family members off and on for years.
Having to decide that enough was enough and turn him in was difficult 😞 but I did it to try and get him help before it got further out of control and before other people were hurt.
Hats 🧢 🧢 off to mothers, grandparents, families, friends, etc; who have had to make the decisions to report others to try and save them and others from hurting themselves or anyone else. 😢😢😢😢😢😢👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Mom seems stressed from this difficult decision she had to make to this day. She shouldn't be. No one will ever know if her son really intended to carry out this story because she didn't wait to find out. Look at the court hearings of school shooters and video of them in jail or the news reports of shooters shot on scene to confirm intervention is worth it.
