- U.S. Army Soldiers pack the T-11 Non-Maneuverable Canopy, reserve parachute, during routine maintance at the 1st Battallion, 10th Group, rigger shed on Panzer Kaserne, Boeblingen, Germany.
The Non-Maneuverable Canopy (T-11) Personnel Parachute System is the newest personnel parachute system to be adopted by the United States armed forces and the Canadian Army.[1] The T-11 replaces the T-10, introduced in 1955. The T-11 includes a completely redesigned main and reserve parachute and an integrated harness assembly that is suitable for a wider range of soldier weights than the previous system. -en.wikipedia.or...

Thanks for the good work. Airborne!
and to think i get annoyed trying to my tent back in the bag.lol
The old T-10 reserves were a pain in the butt, in my opinion. And these don't look much easier.
+Patrick Petrowsky Try packing a AFB, that's what Slim Pickins (Maj. Kong) had on his back, riding the 'bomb" in the movie Dr. Strangelove.
This is what quarantine got me into watching
Those weights are red probably so you won’t accidentally fold them into the parachute because that would be a bad day.
The ropes courses I took for firefighting, you never ever stepped on the lines as the one guy in the red cap did.
This has to be rigger school at Ft. Lee. We NEVER ever went that slow.
Kinda nice for that cause this is what I’m about to do I’m more hands on.
I guess you didn’t read the description….
@@theheartlandgroup757 apologies if I wasn’t clear. I spent 4 years in the Army as a rigger and never saw anyone go that slow except at rigger school when we were first learning. My point was that they are packing as slow as first time students.
@@geektarded fair enough
I see the Riggers working on both tables, does each rigger have one certain job to do or is one rigger responsible for each pack?
Each rigger is responsible for their pack.
Nice folding on the lines.
COMBED REAL FINE!
RIGGER! How often do you have to re-pack reserve chutes? I don’t mean the exceedingly rare deployed reserve re-pack, but is there a “proficiency” test once a week, month, quarter?
@Not the A.T.F. How often are y’all tested for proficiency? Is the “toss you a random chute and reserve and go
jump it” still a thing?
In the civilian world it’s only good for 180 days before it must be repacked.
Pretty interesting!
Good memories watching this video
If one of these guys fuck up , it’s a paratroopers worst nightmare confirmed
No pressure 😪
in there a job strictly to packing parachutes, if there are can you let me know?
+Austin Blanchard Yea they do this and air delivery. I am in class learning the MOS
+Matthew Calhoun I was in the 623rd QM Co, Airborne, depot level, and we packed and repaired platforms used for heavy drops.
US ARMY MOS 92 R
sweet, thanks
What sucks here is that when I was in the 82nd, they would take us to see how the chutes were packed. Wow, these guys hold life in their hands, what I was questioning is, what happens if the packer is pissed off at something and he doesn't give a **** one day and he packs incorrectly on purpose? They do have inspectors that check them, but NOT the inside. Scary stuff. At least from what I saw. Go 82nd.
The riggers used to have to jump the chute's they packed randomly to help ensure nothing like that would happen.
It HAS happened…
Respect this jobs
a spec 4 would, with experience alone, would make this Major look like pea squat in about... ohh 5 minutes when the shoot is packed.
What Major?...🙄
There’s no Major in this video….
Indonesian army use parachute garuda p-1... Bravo paratroopers all the world! Proud be a paratrooper... 😎😎😎
Reserve pilot chute buried in the folds NOT attached to anything!
They're most certainly not.
Nate Newey
just stand on the lines why don't you
Good vdo
how much does one of these parachutes cost and where can i buy one
Have that reserve any AAD?
Алексей Панюшкин No, that’s a round dude.
@@BrazilianShark The type of canopy makes no difference. Rounds can be equipped with AADs just the same.
MC 1 - 1 C ?
much repsect
Newey!
Omg... talk about a boring MOS.. wow
Can be BUT at least you get to jump out of planes on the regular and go to HALO school in some instances (these guys are 1st SFC(A)Riggers).
I gotta go for this mos dude
