  • If you look out west on the Fort Benning horizon, you can see them leaping out of C17's and C130's, but what you don't see are the unsung heroes who make it all possible for thousands of Airborne students to safely fly our friendly skies each and every day. Ron Andruss caught up with the Army's best aerial delivery specialists and gives us a behind the scenes look at just what they do.

I was a 12B CMBT ENGR...Riggers? I'd rather breach a mine field than do the job of a rigger. Damn important job, those riggers have. Respect to all of you.

Packed almost 2500 myself at ft benning. The arthritis from the massive repetitive motions is a bit much. But would do over and over again tomorrow if they asked me.

Just graduated and my first duty station is the 507th and I’m really excited, and i heard we be jumping a lot, and I’m hoping it helps me break my fear of heights even though I’m airborne😂😂

In the mid-50s I'm 8 years old. "Daddy, what's it like jumping with a parachute?", thinking you'd waft to the ground, straighten your socks and walk away. "It's like jumping from ten feet without one. Don't try it, son!"
