- Mufasa: The Lion King's Story is both a prequel and a sequel to The Lion King. The movie will dive into different timelines, following Mufasa's rise to power and the events after The Lion King's ending. It's like The Godfather Part II, with Rafiki narrating Mufasa's tale to Simba and Nala's daughter, Kiara. While most of the 2024 Disney flick will focus on Mufasa's journey (making it a prequel), Simba and Nala's part in the story also makes it a sequel. Having it as both a prequel and sequel adds a whole new layer of excitement. We were already hyped for a Lion King prequel, but this twist makes it even more intriguing, right? And knowing that Donald Glover and Beyoncé are back in the mix just amps up the anticipation. There's so much potential in the storyline now that it's diving into both past and future. Here's hoping the film lives up to the hype, but with this setup, things are looking pretty promising. Plus, with a cast like this, including Glover and Beyoncé, you know it's gonna be good!

This is why mediocrity is the norm. We accept garbage ideas like Mufasa and hype it up for views, even though no one actually believes any of those quotes above.

The only thing I hate about this prequel is the fact that Mufasa and scar aren’t brothers which is what I hate because in the original movie the whole point of their rivalry was because they were brothers because scar had a jealousy for his older brother and was envious of Mufasa leading for scar to kill Mufasa but this prequel just ruins all that

Yeah, many are rumoring it, and I'm already afraid it is true, and that is why, if they are not blood brothers, the fact of Scar's betrayal in the movie no longer has much impact: that even the blood family can betray
@SilvanaPuris2310 I think the betrayal came from the system. The title of the king goes from eldest son to his son and then to his sons son. It does not go to the younger brother unless if there is no option which is why family members and relatives kill each other. Mufasa cared about him and I think he forgave him a lot but Scar never learnt gratefulness and respect.
And that Zira isn't in the movie

They should make a Lion King movie based on the story of Mohatu (Mufasa and Scar’s grandfather) and his daughter Uru. Also how she met Ahadi🔥
The live action is making Mufasa and scar not being related. And Mufasa is the adopted son while scar is royalty. So unfortunately, in this AU they are making that won't be possible.

It sucks that they are changing the main storyline which is what made it so IMPACTFUL. They have been giving us fans what we have always wanted but they are ruining everything. We wanted Kopa to exist, and then they gave us Kion. We wanted Tale of two brothers as well (story of Mufasa and Scar as young brothers) and they are giving us a prequel but they are not brothers! Jesus. Besides, it’s not the same if it’s not 2D. I’m done with Disney
@@loanacrafter I’ve written my own version of Lion King based on the story Mufasa & Taka(Scar’s real name) and it’s better than this garbage. It includes Ahadi & Uru, Sarabi, Sarafina, the three main Hyenas, and Zira. Each character has a line and it’s well designed. I’ve written it on piece of paper and it has 15 pages, if you’re interested please let me know

@@killer_queen4062well, as a veteran TLK fan, we have always wanted a movie about Mufasa and Scar as young brothers, and I can’t believe they are modifying the story so they are not brothers in this movie(??? And it’s definitely lame that it’s not in 2D. We obviously wanted 2D. It’s so sad that Disney is not doing 2D ever again.

@@fearfulclan2007They’re not helping Mufasa nor have any contact with him! They are with Rafiki and Kiara listening to Mufasa’s story. And also since the movie is past and present, they are in present time.

No one is hype they have already ruined it in the trailer letting us know they're retconing them being in a line of kings and I hope that's not Timon and Pumba in the trailer with mufasa during a war they just so happened to forget they knew his dad makes no sense
I would've been interested if they didn't retcon his lineage. The remakes are mostly mediocre. It went downhill after Lion King, but aladdin and jungle book were good. I did have high hopes for Lion King m, but it was a carbon copy. Except for Be Prepared, it was the original word for word.
But Timon and puma are narrating Mufasa's story, they're not actually present in his life.
I remember my grandmother once told me,
"I don't care what they tell you in school. Mufasa was black."

The scene of Timon and Pumba “fighting” Scar, seems to be an exaggerated retelling of the past for Kiara.

They literally combined the 2nd and 3rd 2D movie + added some made-up Mufasa backstory, which doesn't even reach the toes of what I have seen created by the fanbase throughout these years. Every average 12-year-old The Lion King fan would come up with a better story and plottwists. Ofc judging from the trailer itself, I see no hopes for this movie.

I'd imagine during Mufasas rule the prey animals were chill with the Lions as long as they ONLY prey on sick and weak individuals. And when Scar took over he broke that one rule.
