Kel’el Ware has a lot of upside he fits today games as a modern day 5 and he could play 4 due to his shooting. I wouldn’t have a problem taking Ware if we trade down Kinchet same thing he probably the most ready player in this draft. He has a high floor and his ceiling might not be that great compared to the other guys but he has played a lot of basketball so he going to pick things up faster. Due to his age and experience he the perfect win now player for Ime also he can shoot the lights off the basketball. As for Cody Williams I like him but again we already have have too many wings not to mention he going to have to gain some muscle. Also he hasn’t took enough jump shots like Madison if he wants to reach his potential he going to have to shoot the ball more Great video fellas
Great pod guys. I don't like Ware. I like his size and skillset, but I don't care how nice the car looks if it's got a crappy motor. Cody Williams would be a good pick in a trade down situation. I think he has great upside. I've seen many picking him as a late lottery pick, but I don't see him falling outside the top 10. look for SA to take him at 8. even tho I like Cody, he dupilcates players we already have. now lets get to my favorite in this group. Dalton Knecht is a player I would even consider at #3. this guys reminds me of a more physically gifted Klay Thompson. I watched Tenn this year and was impressed with him. since he was the focal point of Tenn's offense teams game planed to control him and he still got off. I believe he hands down is the best shooter in this draft. YES he is an older prospect, but he is the type of player who can help us NOW. he can shoot from anywhere and HE KNOWS HOW TO GET HIS SHOT. trading back and getting this guy would be a steal IMO. if I were the Rocket brain trust I would be dicussing this possibility with Portland right now. I would bet that it's a good bet that if Clingan isn't drafted 1 or 2 the Rockets have some kind of agreement in the works with Portland and may be targeting this guy about which I wouldn't be the least bit upset
Ware has showed up from 9 to low 20s on most mock drafts but I see the value of him in the lottery after seeing how the Celtics have centers with a lot of length Al Horford 7 foot wingspan and Portzingus 7’6” and they can shoot 3 pointers at a high percentage. If Portland wants the 3rd pick I would trade for 7 and 14 and take Ware at 14 and Knecht at 7 or another player.
Definitely ideal fit based on team needs. If they trade back to 7-9 range, I'm sure he'll be BPA. If not, I'll just go ahead and settle for Stephon Castle
I was saying draft Castle in BPA scenario IF Dalton isn't there. I like Castle's intangibles and winning pedigree. I think he's a real blue collar, do whatever it takes to win, kinda guy. Those kinda players are conducive to winning tbh
@@kordarensmith4745 Dalton is the BPA at the #3 pick. I wouldn’t touch Castle. He was a great blue collar guy on the college level but he’s not worth a top ten lottery pick for the Rockets. We need a guy who can get buckets.
Getting Reed at 3 makes more sense. I'd only consider drafting Dalton in trade back scenarios. It'd be too much of a reach for him at 3. They're both projected in 7-9 range... and, tbh, Castle kinda gives me Jimmy Butler vibes. That's his comp to me. Think back to the Bulls days when the young Jimmy was coming off the bench making a name for himself. It didn't take long for him to become a budding star 🤷🏾♂️. I think Dalton has a Bogdan Bogdanovic comp.
Where's the win now player? Knecht? I mean if you truly believe he's a win now player why not take him at 3? (What if you trade back and he's gone?) 14 in this draft has very little value relative to the player you could get at 3.
Even Stone would have to fire himself if he doesn’t pick Sheppard at number 3. Everyone who watches the Rockets knows they need a pure shooter on the team.
Definitely don’t listen to the fans! Lol. Trust their scouts and coach. Get someone who plays excellent defense and shoots or is developing in that department
@@slickrick8046 he's 23 years old. give me a list of players picked that was 22-23 that end up being legit. its only a handful. when you picking 3 you pick for upside. im willing to bet he will end up like corey kispert.
Dalton Connect is hilarious 😂
He a beast 🎉🎉
NBA players are playing into their 40's and lasting a lot longer so I don't understand Dalton's age being a problem.
Kel'el Ware played very well. I watched all the games. That kid has gotten a raw deal from the media
Knecht's high-side comp is Dan Majerle.
Dalton Knecht is who I want the most, Clingan seems intriguing as well.
Another guy I like in that same range is Devin Carter as well, he could fit a Cason Wallace type of role for us
Yeah, I liked Wallace last year and Carter this year. Perfect back point guard.
Kel’el Ware has a lot of upside he fits today games as a modern day 5 and he could play 4 due to his shooting.

They said the same thing about Cam Whitmire. Lack of motor. See how that turned out
Yves Missi is perfect target if we trade back.
Agreed
I would like to hear more about Daron Holmes. He's a junior center out of Dayton University.
Reed Shepard is the right pick at #3.
Too high.

Dalton Knecht is who I would aim for. Lethal movement shooter who can put the ball on the floor, and has the size to be able to defend (6'6", 213lbs).

That’s ridiculous. Castle can’t shoot and will probably have handle issues. It would be like drafting Amen two years in a row.

Yes Dalton 1
And another solid big
Rockets' best bet would be to put together a trade package with POR for the 7th and 14th picks. Dalton Knecht and Kel'el Ware should be their targets.

@@florida1289none of the draft prospects are win now pieces
@@florida1289 Not really. The tenth pick in this draft may be the best player. Real crap shoot.
Devin Carter would be nice if Rockets trade down or Ron Holland..
Would anyone trade the #3 to the Blazers for #7 and #14? So, Reed Sheppard or you could get Dalton Knecht & Kel'el Ware.
I would. Hope to land Carter and a back up big to sub for Smith and Sengun - Edey, Missi, Ware.
Kel el Ware. Perfect athletic big. He can switch between 4 & 5
Exactly. Need three bigs. 32 minutes each. Sarr would be great. Ware works. Missi too.
Dalton connect,he fit what we did ,!!!!!!
Reed is a no brainer for the Rockets.
As in “they have no brain” if they draft him at 3.
Baylor Scheierman, 6 ft 7 in out of Creighton, can also shoot the ball well.
You missed the “lob threat” opportunity Jackson. What happened?
My soundboard game is slipping smh
Rockets, go!
Reed is point guard Klay (an off ball PG). This is such an easy decision
Might be a jimmer fernet
@@yunggremlin2357 not even close to the same player
Reed is not a no brainer. At all.
To pass on
@gregfoster6916 this Reed insanity within the fanbase has me questioning reality like wtf?.... Am I the crazy one??....
Literal translation: Go Rockets!
KEl’el Ware is Christian Wood all over again.
Usually you’re trading up for the best talent but these days ppl wanting role players to trade down what’s really going on?
The only thing Reed have over dalton is age, 20 against 23. Dalton is bigger and taller at 6’6
It will be very easy for the Rockets to over-think this pick, especially in this draft. Just take Sheppard and move on.
Let's go Rockets!!!
I don’t see it with Cody Willams and he doesn’t fit this team at all
Rockets need another wing when Brooks retires.
@@greglyon1402and we have time to find one. Cody Williams isn’t good
Daron Holmes II
Dayton, Junior

Devin Carter
Yep., Trade with Portland, they get their guy, Rockets get Carter at 7 and a backup big at 14.
Go Rockets
Reed Sheppard should be the Only Pick the rockets make. If Stone traded down then he needs to be fired.
Nobody wants to hear from a casual fan like yourself.
Couldn't possibly disagree with you more. Amazing.
Ridiculous take. Reed Sheppard will not start on any team. Bench role player at best.
He should be fired for taking Reed with number 3. Maybe later but not 3.
