I don't know what is more relaxing, hearing the waterfalls or watching the fish swim.
Great video. Loved the lady's pond. She has a great personality. Could sit and visit with her for hours. Her neighbors are so lucky. 👍

Through some trial and error, my husband and I completed our DIY 8 x 11 aquascapes pond and we LOVE it! It was complete August 5. A week later I added 7 fish. My favorite thing to do is to go out first thing in the morning and sit and feed the fish...and then again in the evening. Little did I know I was feeding too much! The water went from crystal clear to murky green in 3 weeks time. =/ Thank you Greg for this video! I've been at my wits end trying different things to clear up the water. I have been using a pet store fish food. No more...I'm ordering Aquascapes fish food today! I'll let you know how it goes. =) =)

@@GregWittstockThePondGuy I’m a little embarrassed to admit...but I was so disappointed that my crystal clear water had turned a yucky, murky green that I was even IN the pond cleaning rocks! 🤣😂😂

Greg, I love your channel and of course the ponds and your fantastic team. One thing I need to say is, you may or may not have been told, but you interrupt/talk about over people. I'm not saying this to be rude, it may be something you're not aware of. I know this because I have a similar personality to yours and if I'm not careful, I tend to do the same thing. Lol. My husband has been giving me the "you're doing it again" signal for years as I'm often not even aware that I'm doing it lol. Most people are too polite to say anything, so it's handy to have Russ to warn me. Lol. People like us just have a lot to say. Lmao. I'd imagine that it's particularly frustrating for other pond/landscape professionals as I'm a sure they have a lot to say too . Anyway, I hope I haven't offended you, keep doing whst you do ;-) . Any problem with feeding my pond fish wet and dry dog food? It's a 5,000 gallon Pond full of bugs and other things for them to eat. I just supplement with dog food. The koi are still young. 3 to 6 inches. The Goldfish range from babies to adults.
Dirt bottom pond. No filtration. The water just overflows out when it rains heavy.
What will be the total cost to build the exact same pond u have in your backyard

Did you tee off the 2" line running back to the biofalls for the slated urn? Do you control the urn with a ball valve?
Love the work you did.
Thank you so much. I have a separate pump operating the urn reason being if you tap off your main line and you shut your pump your biofalls will drain through the urn line forcing dirty water into the pond.

the water feature is only 30" deep in the center? lol - isn't that wrong for koi? most experts/keepers would say, "yes." koi need a deep pond... 4ft would be considered acceptable
Not wrong. Min 2ft deep. If you keep the water moving it will not freeze
