Thank you so much for this video. It's very helpful. I do have another question that I hope you can help with. When transcribing an interview the person goes on and on using "and" . I am having trouble knowing when to stop the sentence and begin a new one. Here is an example from Scribie practice files. Example 1 is the correct one and example 2 is how I did it. This is what I do wrong the most. EX1-And 17 years later, I did go to college. But I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford. And all of my working class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. EX2- And 17 years later, I did go to college, but I naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as Stanford. And all of my working class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition.

But now, I'm a bit nervous about whether I can perform and produce transcripts that meet GoTranscript expectations. Anyway, I'd like to thank you one more time. 🙏

Do you have a video on why to become a transcriptionist? I'm interested in it, but the pay is terrible vs the time required. If I am to do it, I need to understand more of what skills it'll allow me to develop for use elsewhere, unless there is actually money to be made somewhere in it. Besides dictation, typing, and grammar, which are skills that are needed to begin with, and skills that will ultimately increase, what else is there to gain?

In the practice questions, question 3 has tea and coffee I thought they are nouns and so I capitalized them, also I discovered that friends, father and brother are pronouns, but in the practice questions you didn't talk about them, how do I get helped for clarity? We only capitalize proper nouns. For example, names, cities, countries, etc. We don't capitalize all nouns. "Friends, father, and brother" are not pronouns. They are nouns. They are not capitalized. "His name is John, and he is my friend."

I have a problem regarding Mishears. I don't know why this always happens to me. Maybe because I am not a native speaker or because of my headphones? Provide us with a good headphones name to purchase, please.
It's not the letter "i" that must always be capitalized. It's the word "I" (I am, I like, etc). I've = I have I'm = I am I'll = I will The word "is" isn't derived from the word "I" so, unless it's at the beginning of a sentence, it's not capitalized. I hope this clarified things.

All of your answers are right, except for number 7. You keep the apostrophe because it shows that the brother possesses a best friend, named Andrew.
