Thank you so much for this video. I struggle with social anxiety, depression and agoraphobia (fear of leaving my house) which was the main reason we built the bus to give me a safe place. Years ago we were members of a church where I was told it was my job to serve and they were very specific in what that looked like which was not something I could do with my issues. Then I was made to feel like I was wrong for not being able to overcome my issues for His glory. I struggled with that for years and stopped going to church and became very angry with God. Why would He create me with so many issues and then call me to do things I couldn't do. I have been trying to reconcile with God. Yet, everyday I struggle since I can't be 'normal'. I am in tears after watching this video. Perhaps even with my many issues I could still be enough. Sorry, that was probably way too much information.
WOW! What an incredible testimony! Thank you for sharing that. I think some churches can be REALLY good at guilt-tripping people to serve, when they aren't ready or can't... like in your case. What the church REALLY needs to focus on, is not filling holes in their ministry plans, but actually ministering to its congregation! All too often the church wants somebody to do this or that, and they are so desperate they'll take anybody and it ends up harming the people who volunteer! Because, in the long run it was too much for them to handle, they felt used and abused, etc. So, I am so glad you were wise enough to say "no"! But my heart breaks that you were scarred by the situation. I know firsthand how hurtful the church can be. As a pastors wife, I can face similar situations sometimes and it's overwhelming just wanting to please the people, never mind also the spiritual aspect of it! But, guilt is never from the Lord, because Jesus paid for all our guilt on the cross! So, if someone is trying to make you feel guilty, or guilt-trip you into doing something, they aren't led by the Lord. Wow, I kinda went off on this, but I feel really passionate about it!
I just watched this and it was emotional for me. I use to think I was hopeless and everything else. But now, I’m totally opposite and thanked God for my new self He made me. It was emotional for me because I know most of my friends are non-believers and how they live and what all you had to say about this. I will keep praying about this for them but I also need help in these prayers. The more the merrier.
I struggle sometimes with truly believing God still loves me no matter what. I have the head knowledge that He does but that doubt that I'm unworthy creeps in
Oh yeah, that's such a ploy from the enemy! It makes me mad when it happens to other people because it's just so obviously not true, but when it happens to me it's always hard to catch... not sure if that makes sense. But, all that to say: I can relate!
I just finished this Bible study video as well as the woman with the issue of blood. They were very inspiring. God knew I needed to find your channel and his words resonated through you Faith and touched me. I’m a mom of two and wife and we live with an elderly grandma with dementia whom I’m a caregiver to.Some days I lose myself bc I’m so caught up in serving others. I strive to do Bible study everyday but sometimes it’s a struggle to do something even enjoyable things that tend to feel like work. I’m praying that God continues to use you to inspire others as well as encourage me to stay in touch with him everyday. Thanks and God bless ❤️!!!!!

I watched a second time and copied down every Scripture verse you mentioned or those that you made me think of and I'm going to go through them again and again and meditate on them until they sink into this doubting, stubborn heart and mind of mine.
