Thanks for all the tips and reminders. I have a routine at home of waking up early and spending quiet time with Him. What I know is that if we are on a trip, have company over or any disruption, I tend to not come to Him. The good news is that I miss my time and look forward to getting back to the routine of worship and just resting in Him first thing in the morning.
Blue letter bible website and app is a wonderful resource like 15 commentaries audio written Greek Hebrew and audio commentaries too. I highly recommend sis ... your a blessing. Thank you for this 💜
I love all your videos. They are inspiring. I used to think most of the bible was boring, now I journal and take it slow and learn so much more. Thank you for that.
I love your videos so much! You are so helpful, so insightful, always positive while being authentic. You are such an inspiration to me and please keep making videos. Thank you for all that you do
Oh my gosh I needed this so badly! I’m doing a Bible in a year plan with my mom and sister, it’s in Chronological order of how the events happened. I had to have the Bible read to me because when I sat down to read it myself especially the parts about building the temple, all the rules for certain things, and especially the long list of whom begot whom.....I was fighting sleep 😅 I felt bad because this is God’s word and obviously it’s in here for a reason. I’ll check out those commentaries you mentioned! Thank you 😊
Yes girl, SAME! And sometimes it's as simple as asking, so our eyes are opened and can see God show just how He has shown up! Because, that's truly what I've found, when I ask God to show up, I see how He already has, but would have missed it, looked right over it, if i hadn't asked. Not sure if that makes any sense at all.... lol
Stickers! Yes, I will add those to my journaling. I usually write letters to God when I read portions of the Bible. Your introduction was soooooo funny. Thanks for the tips.
This is my 3rd year of reading through the Bible. The Old Testament can be so challenging to understand and getting through the genealogies is so boring!🤯. What has helped me is while I am reading the Old Testament I listen to it on an app on my phone. This has been very helpful! You are right about going deeper with the help of commentaries!!! Definitely gives you a deeper, clearer undestanding of God's word! ❤🙏❤🙌❤🕊❤🇺🇸
I really love your videos. Pleas make more videos about relationships in the family while married to a pastor, prayers answered and why it takes time, your videos are so inspirational. I love your natural and open way of explaining things. I gravitate on your videos more when I like light inspiring videos. So cool vibe ❤❤❤❤
*Tips that Faith mentioned for a more enjoyable Bible study time with God:* 1. Set goals 2. Set yourself up to enjoy the study (setting yourself up for success by being cozy, getting pens out, listening to music, etc) 3. Start going in-depth with your bible study (you can use commentaries) 4. Interact with the word (Bible journaling) 5. Enjoy your Bible study more by making it a regular daily habit (the more you slack off, you won't wanna do it anymore becuase you will keep thinking about all the times you failed). 6. Be honest with God!! Tell Him why you don't want to do it, your situation, desires, etc! ❤
The building of the temple……… ugggggggg My husband and I read Exodus together and ended up watching Mike Winger do a video about Aaron and Moses and their priestly robes. It really helped to break it up by with watching some stuff about it that is interesting. We totally enjoyed how deep he went with that stuff!!
Im probably crazy but every year I try to read the Bible at least 3-5 maybe 6 times a year depending on how much my kids are reading (that means I read to them) my personal goal is to become a walking bible full of all truth and knowledge
Thank you so much for these tips and for your channel in general. I always look forward to coming home after work to watch your videos. Still praying for you and your family. Is there anything you want me to add? 💖
I k ow this sounds crazy but I actually really like reading my Bible while I stretch. It brings reliefs both to my body(stretching) and my soul (Gods word). You’re right though, it’s not the most comfortable 🤣
@@HowtoFaithALife absolutely not! You are doing the Lord's work. You really motivated me to get serious about bible study. I started watching so I could place the video in my watch later list but I couldn't turn it off and ended up watching the whole thing on the spot. I'm going to get a commentary bible and scribble away. Thank you!
Do you find it discouraging to do bible studies on RUclips that have been done before? I kind of want to write a Bible study, but I’ve found that there are already bible studies out there on the topic I was thinking. Which I guess shouldn’t discourage me because I’m sure there is already a Bible study for just about all topics in the Bible out there. What if I don’t have anything unique to say on the topic? 🤷♀️ and I’m thinking I don’t want to read the ones out there because I don’t want to accidentally repeat someone else’s ideas. Or is that the wrong approach?
Nawh, don’t let it get to you... I don’t watch other RUclips videos on the topic I’m going to make a video on either, I just say what I feel led to say in my unique way based on what I know bad have learned from someone else. They taught it to me in seminary or through a book, which they most likely learned from someone else, from someone else, from someone else. Don’t let lies stop you from your calling!
I'm not going to lie I'm here 10% for Faith's awesome study tips and 80% for her facial expressions...they just make me happy lol😆
