Marcelito is a Filipino, who was orphaned and homeless by the age of 7, mostly raising himself by doing odd jobs. He would comfort himself by singing, and teaching himself to copy when he heard on the radio. He is completely self taught, and is now a married father of 2. He has recently finished a world tour, and spends a great deal of time and money giving back to underprivileged kids in the Philippines. His covers of The Power of Love, Time to Say Goodbye, and Despacito are all excellent!
The Wish bus is a real bus that was made into a radio station in the Philippines (where Marcelito is from) it travels around and Artists sing Live on it. Marcelito is well known for his solo "duets". He used to live on the streets in The Philippines and discover at 18 he could switch voices. He speaks only a little English but listens to songs and just learns them. He can sing in many different languages that he can't speak. He is a very humble guy with amazing voices. Listen to Hallelujah or Endless Love he is amazing.
I've watched this performance I don't know how many times. The thing that is amazing is that neither English nor Italian is his native language, he is from the Phillipines. I saw a reactor bring in an Italian singer to react with him, specifically to check his Italian pronunciation. And his Italian pronunciation is as good as his English. He learned it by rote because he also can't read either language. Also, this is done live on radio, it's the schtick of that station. Great reaction, Cole!
It’s a radio station in the Philippines on a bus. I’m told that he’s singing in Counter Tenor & Baritone. Yes he’s famous & now traveling all around the world performing. He’s learned to sing in other languages. Yes an amazing talent. Listen to him on AGT singing the Beauty & the Beast. Great video.
Hello welcome to the marcelito's world of mind blowing try do react him singing NEVER ENOUGH,I SURRENDER, POWER OF LOVE ,PERFECT THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR REACTING HIM
Thanks for featuring Marcelito Pomoy who is a Filipino and is blessed with multiple beautiful voices. Kindly check out other more world class Filipino artists and talents like the Disney legend and the pride and treasure of the Philippines Ms Lea Salonga and her performances as well as other Filipino talents and artists. You will enjoy and love them. Thanks!❤❤❤🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Marcelito is from the Philippines so gifted singer with no vocal training self his multiple range of voices is out of this world thanks for loving our pride so proud of him try to react Unchained Melody Hallelujah Perfect power of love
MARCELITO IS FROM PHILLIPINES. HIS FATHER WENT TO JAIL, HIS MOTHER ABANDONED HIM AT SEVEN TO THE STREETS. HE WORK IN THE BOWLING ALLEYS TO EARN FOOD BY SETTING UP PINS. HE CARRY BRICKS, WHATEVER HE COULD DO. HE NEVER HAD ANY SINGING LESSONS , NO VOCAL TRAINING . GOD TAKES CARE OF THE ORPHANS ..
Enjoyed this, loved both the original and Pentatonix version, I think his voice suits it. Going to go give it another listen. As always thank you for the video and commentary
Marcelito takes this song to yet another level in the release of his album, "Duet Yourself". Since it is a tracked recording, he includes all of the harmonies where Bocelli and Dion sing together in harmony. It is quite beautiful with Marcelito singing the lead (Bocelli) in tenor/baritone and the alto harmony (Dion) in countertenor. This song also includes a marvelous background orchestra. Here is the link to the audio: ruclips.net/video/ULwa6eLtufY/видео.html Here is a partial list of other covers by Marcelito: Celine Dion's "The Power of Love" (His best female imitation in my opinion) Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" Whitney Houston's "I Will Always Love You", "I Have Nothing", "One Moment in Time" Loren Allread's "Never Enough" Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean" Celine Dion/Peabo Bryson's "Beauty and the Beast" Kenny Loggins "Forever" Mariah Carey's "Hero" and "Oh Holy Night" Elvis Presley's "Can't Help Falling In Love" Beyonce's "Listen" Steelheart's "She's Gone" Ed Sheeran's "Perfect" Miley Cyrus' "When I Look At You" Luther Vandross "Dance With My Father" Diana Ross/Lionel Richie's "Endless Love" Sarah Brightman/Andrea Bocelli's "Time To Say Goodbye" (He sings in Italian) Teresa Teng "The Moon Represents My Heart" (He sings in Chinese) IL Divo/ Celine Dion's "I Believe In You" (He sings in French and imitates 4 different voices) Luis Fonsi's "Despacito" (He sings in Spanish) Finally, Marcelito sings numerous Filipino songs in his native language, Tagalog.
You're pronouncing his name correctly. He was born with the ability to sing in soprano, tenor and baritone ranges and, as you can see here, he's doing opera quality singing while sitting down! And in two languages he can't speak. Amazing!
I agree with your "WOW," Cole! I was not expecting those voices to come out of that person. I admit that I'm not familiar with this song, even though I've seen it suggested in the comments for many reactors. As a result, I did some Googling - the original song was sung in English by Celine Dion and in Italian by Andrea Bocelli separately in the 90s. They then sang it together as a duet. Also saw that Marcelito is almost 40 - so his vocal cords must be truly exceptional! This was very impressive. -Cat🙂❤
Love your comments! Marcelito is one of my favorite singers, but also love rock and metal. Went back to watch a few of your other reactions. I almost didn’t recognize you. Without the beard you’re very good looking and look 10 years younger. I have a 40 year old son who now wears a beard, but it’s neatly trimmed so it looks good on him.
We have lots of talented and greatest artists in the Philippines aside from Marcelito Pomoy one of the best singers here, you can also check Morisette Amon same from the Wishbus Live performances one of the best and pride of the Philippines💯👌👍
A fabulous reaction. Thank you. Celine Dion is the woman singing with Andrea Bocelli a famous Italian tenor. You should listen to their original duet even if you don't react to it to compare to Pomoy's cover of them. It is quite famous. (Note Bocelli is blind). There are quite a few different things to listen to from Pomoy. A fun one if you know the singer Morissette is a duet she did with Marcelito at the Wish awards of Secret Love Song in their native Philippines. You can hear him singing in it when he is not imitating a female or an opera singer.
There at the end of the video where he looks like he's coughing, he's having a joke with the producer . The producer joked that he was hiding an extra voice so Marcellito coughed it up and laughed. Thanks for your reaction!
Check out this video, it's the late, great Uncle Willie K playing my favorite version of a Tahiti song Fa Mai Ra Oe: ruclips.net/video/74e4F9wEivg/видео.html
Two other unique singers are Dimash Kudaibergen from Kazakhstan, and Diana Ankudinova (Pronounce-Dee-Ana) from Russia. Try them. You will be surprised.

Hi there, have you ever listened to Morrisette Amon, also from the Philippines. Have fun.
Check out his cover of “Perfect” by Ed Sheeran sung in English and Italian. It’s amazing!❤️🇨🇦
Marcelito was on his own from the age of 7, and no training...
He is a filipino with not formal training in singing. Wish bus is a bus serving as a studio. It moves around.
His close people call him Lito
