I think this is the greatest live performance by a singer ever. I have never seen anything like it. It gave me goosebumps, tears and touched my heart.
Your reaction was priceless! Marcelito Pomoy taught himself this song, he has no classical training, rather taught himself how to sing from an early age. He learned this song by listening to a recording by Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. His performance, considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it, is gorgeous. His native language is Philipino Tagalog, and he has no formal training. The recording engineer was teasing him about his female voice. That's why he spit her out at the end. Notice his big grin after doing that. He is singing now in at least English, Italian, Spanish and Chinese but he does not speak any of those languages. He grew up on the streets from age 7 or 8. On September 21, 2014, Pomoy married Joan Paraiso of Calauag, Quezon, and they have one daughter, Marcella Janiah. He is very humble, helping out his neighbors with odd jobs and repairs, even though his reported net worth is around $5,000,000 USD. His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

Marcelito Pomoy deserves to be recognised around the world. A pure, unique, incredible and special talent. An effortless performance and excellent vocals. Who can sing like him? No formal training in music, self-taught..... still he is the best! Please check out his rendition of POWER OF LOVE at wish 107.5. This is mind-blowing performance. Stay safe.
Covers, the world is filled and fed up with covers if you arent named Angelina Jordan or Dimash.
Don't get me wrong, Pomoy is extremly good but for me it's a good listen on youtube and nothing i would pay for to go see live.

Like i said not taking away from his singing but that isn't enough "to make it" wich alot of people seem to think. It's easier to make it as a worse singer and a good songwriter.
@@ImDembe Dimash is also a great singer. However, he is also a singer who became famous for singing many cover songs on Chinese music programs.He still sings many cover songs at concerts. It's no wonder that singers who don't have world-famous original songs sing cover songs on the world stage.

Marcelito and Angelina were the only two singers left in the finales, Angelina got 6th and Marcelito got 5th. It was the Champion Season which is done really weird, it is prerecorded and voted on by 50 superfans (of the show, not performers) nobody knows who the superfans are. They both got good exposure out of it. I think it helped Angelina a little more because she was staying in the States but Marcelito was going back to the Philippines where there is not as much opportunity as in the States. I am sure it still helped him in the Philippines and strengthen his concert attendance. But then covid happened and no concerts. I think if Marcelito could get some songs written for him like Dimash does where he can use his whole range but not be limited to a duet. And put them on his RUclips channel, you have to strike while people are noticing.

I was under the impression that his " "female" voice is not falsetto, but rather a head voice and mix voice. When he sings some of the high notes on his tenor voice, he goes into his falsetto.

Hi Josh, I want to add more about Mars Pomoy s talent...yes he s really gifted...GOD s reward for him since he was orphaned and homeless in his younger years. He worked hard in a poultry farm, singing while working, just then he discovered his talent, he was given a break in PGT...that's the beginning...

Love your reaction. Please react to him singing Ed Sheeran’s PERFECT where he sings in English and Italian. He learned it in a short time when asked to perform at a high society wedding in Europe. He is so talented. Not sure if you know that Marcelito uses all of his You tube earnings for his charity where he gives food to the poor and has a big party on his birthday for many children where he lives and gives them gifts as he never had a birthday party when he grew up. Such a humble loving young man who gives back to his community. ❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
His father went to prison when he was very young. His mother abandoned him at the age of 4. He lived in prison with his dad for a while then bounced around a few foster parents before running away at 7. He was homeless and living on the streets for over 10 years before he got some help. He is self taught! He would sing when he was scared and I imagine that was often. He won Philippines Got Talent in 2011 (I think) and he used being on the show to find his family. He is now married and has a daughter.

Marcelito is on a league of his own! He deserved that gift that God gave him; growing up all alone in the streets in the Philippines at a very young age searching for his family. He used to sing to himself for comfort. He discovered his gifts at the age of 18. Nevertheless, he continues to remain humble, grounded, and never allowing his newfound fame & fortune get to his head. He is indeed one of the best and one of a kind!
