I don't know if I can agree with what you say, the fact that he was homeless, I heard on this kind of shows they are forcing you to tell an untrue story in order to catch the audience's attention. But, definitely, he got an amazing voice.
@@JetLion ...yes thats true...he is homeless..watch AGT..and even Phil.got talent..he is alone in the streets coz his father is in jail and he was left by her mother.
@@JetLion watch his performance in America's got talent the prayer. He told there his very short story. He join singing shows to find his real family. Which was successful after joining the Pilipinas got talent show last 2011. His dad was imprisoned when he was just 2 or 4yrs old and his mom left them. He was later adopted but upon learning they were not his real parents, he ran away and started looking for his parents. That's how he grew up living in the streets alone. He did everything to survive. He worked as a pin boy (bowling), selling balut or anything to survive. His average income is 50 pesos ( almost 1 dollar). He did not had any voice lessons but he loves singing to cope up with loneliness. He was 16 or 17 when he discovered his dual voice talent. He did not finish his elementary education. His wife is his translator now a days which is kinda funny knowing he can sing fluent English, Italian, Spanish, French, mandarin, Spanish, tagalog (bisaya is his native language not tagalog) and other languages but give him a week to practice it just like what he did on the despacito and mandarin song which I forgot the title (it's on RUclips). He can also sing songs performed by 5 singers(I believe in you by il Divo and celine dion) and we are the world (more than 5 singers). He is a very humble and kind person in real life.
I am only 75 years old and have heard many singers. I could care less about his breathing. His voice and presentation is truly beautiful. FYI he has had no training in his singing and is a natural wonder. You might check out his presentation of Never Enough.
very much agree with you...she's finding a perfect twist for the song, but when she begun to sing...urgggg....sorry..but she needs more training than Marcelito...
You have to understand that Marcelito is not a professional opera singer. He is very impressive just like that and does not need any of your negative feedback. You cannot compare him to any professional opera singer, you have to give him a break..
You missed the whole point. He is mimicking Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli. Celine sings pop and Andrea opera. He even has copied their very different vowel sounds. Go online and find him singing the Power of Love and close your eyes and hear Celine. Also the Andrea part is not his own singing voice. Schmaltzy? So is O Mio Babbino C aro. C'mon!
I am a Filipino and I have no problem with your critiques/reactions. Judging from your comments, I believe you are a professional singer and can sing well. Having said that, I wish you could do a song/cover of your choice and upload it so you can show us your singing prowess. Thank you.
Yeah correct... I almost 2 days watching reactions for Marcelito Pomoy performing this awesome and impressive cover, but this opera singer (as she said) is so.... Tssss
I think one thing to take into account with Marcelito is that he never had even 1 voice lesson. He has never been trained in any way and I am sure he would do many of the things with the air support if he had any training at all. He grew up homeless from the age of 8 and helped raise his younger sibling along the way. He was talked into singing on The Philippines Got Talent and won it. (He only did the show, because he hoped it would help him find his family again -- and it did.) I imagine that he is getting vocal training now, but what he developed of his voice without any training is amazing.
That is nice, but still doesn't excuse or makes it perfect for someone with a trained ear. For someone who can pick on those things it doesn't sound right even if the story is heartwarming and even if he has all those tricks, technically still is not right.
@Uranus is Beautiful For me... Marcelito is a force of nature and a gifted singer.. And that cover as of now has hundreds of millions of views combined.. what you are saying does not coincide with what millions of people are saying around the world.
@@DCTableTennis It does coincide with what Patreon is saying. And, also with what Angel said during the reaction. A lot of the views are b/c of the novelty of what Marcelito is doing and how well he is doing it. Taking nothing away from Marcelito, at the time he did this on AGT-C he had been doing it for 11 years. That's a lot of practice on one song. Even this performance was done after about 8 years of practice on it. I've watched it hundreds of times and really love it. I appreciate what he can do. But, that doesn't invalidate what Angel was saying or what Patreon is saying. Natural talent and abilities can be improved by training, no matter who you are.
He's impressive and entertaining. It's a special talent he has and has served him well. It's a job that earns him enough to have a family of his own. He was abandoned as a child, but he didn't give up. I respect him a lot.
He's not other kinda guy that have someone to train bout his voice, he truly owns that voice without a couch, he is homeless, just sleeping in sidewalk, and everytime he has problem he just sing, and thats how he learn ALL BY HIMSELF his voice and it's range❤️
@zoki kostadinov having talent is never his fault... racist like you belongs in primal ages... its not about survival of the fitest anymore, it more of appreciating what we have and sharing this to the world...we dont give a fuck what you think.. upload your own video and lets see what you got!!!
@zoki kostadinov marcelito had more PRIORITIES than training more for himself... he's contented with what he have because that what made him famous... have you watched his charity activities particularly in this PANDEMIC? he had given hundreds of sacks of rice, canned goods, noodles and milk for babies to thousands of people, and to date, had constructed TWO HOUSES (and counting) to our poor kababayan....so NO, it is not Marcelito's fault, he knows his purpose, he is not here to WIN the "olympic" race in singing... it's good for him to make his MARK in the "game"...... and for me, that's the "essence of a REAL SINGER"..... peace.....Godbless
@zoki kostadinov i don't care about Li Yugang, whoever he is... you were comparing Dimash being the "real singer" and Marcelito the "wannabee" and "mediocre".... duh..... and as i've said... he had made a "mark of himself" in life... have you? and oh... maybe in your book..... but for the Filipinos... the "mediocre marcelito' will surely be printed on the pages of our history books (that's how poor, unpopular and uncivilized Philippines is)... along with names and faces of MANNY PACQUIAO, LEA SALONGA, EFREN BATA REYES, PAENG NEPOMUCENO, LYDIA VEGA, RODRIGO DUTERTE, etc..... btw, what's your real name? i'd be excited to know if you will be remembered "centuries from today"
@zoki kostadinov You have to understand that no one is trying to take credit away from Dimash when it is due. But you also have to realise that not everyone has both parents who do music and are rich and understanding enough to support formal training from a very young age. Especially when you are so poor that you have to wonder when your next meal is and you do not have the extra attention to give to singing even when you might have had a talent in it. And don't be so biased to Dimash to not see that a lot of factors contribute to being good at singing.
I'm a Filipino myself her reaction is quite on point. Why can't just listen to some bad sides. It is not always good, accept the truth. You're just showing to everyone that Filipino's can't accept fact. That's why other countries don't believe us that much.
@@zacharyaeolus5920 Well what wrong with what I said? She’s entitled to her own opinion and I’m not? All I want Is for her to upload her version. If she can get at least a Million views, considering she’s a Professional OPERA SINGER, she should get more, then she will have my respect. At least I will know its not an EGO based review.
I would love to see her two versions of this song, which of course l know she can't do. Talk about nit picking. She's the worse nit picking commentator I've seen so far No thank you to her, I'll pass. KUDOS TO MARCELITO POMOY. So what they're sitting while singing. 🤷♂️🤷♀️🤷♂️🤷♀️🤷♂️🤷♀️🤷♂️‼
He has recorded this on an album & the full effect of both voices with out the necessary cut offs for breathing, is stupendous. He is gifted. His talent for humanitarian works is amazing in his country, on the scale of Sean Penn in the US. If you can find his albums I encourage you to check them out.
I fell in love with Marcelito's voice,' been searching all over the internet since I saw him sing 3 months ago. Just can't get over of his dual voice. Actually, it's multiple voices coming out of his body. You are the only reactor who mentioned about breathing technique and cutting out in a middle of a phrase. That is informative from a voice coach like you. Since he can amazingly sing like that without proper training of breathing technique, the more I see it more spectacular. He can flip back and forth with his voice in the remote control challenge at GGV when he sang endless love. It's incredible. The more I get amazed with Marcelito
for a self-taught singer like marcelito pomoy, he is undeniably superb. Filipinos are music lovers and could really sing . Take note, only few have got a chance to undergo voice lessons and pomoy wasn't one of them but was able to prove himself to the world that God has given him a unique talent in singing as a way of helping him not to forever wallow in the quagmire of poverty and living alone struggling on the streets due to the absence of his immediate family at a very young age. We are so proud of pomoy!
Many people here is overwhelmed by Marcelito´s beautiful talent , me too. I´m also! You are an opera singer and you react in a more analytic way to his singing compared to other singer reactors and there is nothing wrong with that. It gives a good insight, but most people here just love the way he is and sings so good. I hope technique will not take away something of what we love about him, so it gets too systematic and too perfect, if you know what i mean. the song, as you say, is not written for one person, so there is not inserted time to make the shifts in the way you wish for, but Im sure he will do it beautiful with another version or another song that is written for two people. I love his version of Power of love by the way
Kenn Cramer Hanberg you’re Right Sir, and Marcelito Pomoy is came from nothing since he was a kid, he is orphaned, sleeping in the streets. What I mean, he trying stand up in his own, he grown up trying survive and train himself to sing. Marcelito Pomoy is a humble guy. He’s one of amazing vocalist. And now he earned little money and help his constituents.. I salute you Marcelito Pomoy
Kenn Cramer Hanberg I salute on you mr cramer, marcelito Pomoy is amazing dual voices, he’s humble and helping his constituents with his little money earned from America’s got talent.
As you noticed his shifting from one register to another is quite fast so he needs to breathe to give respectable justice to both pitches. Marcelito learned to sing by his own...listened to original songs. He didn't have voice lessons. He couldn't afford to hire vocal tutors telling him what to do and what not to do. What he does is purely God-given talent and many people admire him for this. I don't think there's someone out there who sings like he does and delivers the song with perfect breathing. If there is, he's not human.
bobby ventenilla you are right my friend. Marcelito one of the best dual voices. No one was train him, he can survived with his own.. a humble guy and helped his constituents with his winning money from America’s got talent. Amazing
Amazing voices both male and female. Such a great talent. The way u perform the Prayer was really far better than the original song. Marcelito for me you're one of d great voices of the world. ❤️❤️❤️
I agree that she critisized too much without any motivation. How do you expect for Pomoy not to breath switching from male to femaile voice so quiclkly over an over? Why don’t you show us how you can do that please. grazie mille
“I just wanted to hear him without interrupting himself” - but there were two big parts without those interruptions, I sure heard them. And yeah, as you can tell by the end of the video, he did it for fun.
This is one of the reasons why the sayings "You cannot please everybody" is true. And It's alright. People will enjoy this, will be amazed by this, will be shocked by this but there will also be nitpicky about this. And its alright. I believe she enjoyed the performance but just not that how we expect or how we used to. don't fret. It's really refreshing to watch a Marcelito Pomoy Video with different view/reaction. I think it is more constructive than anything. PS. just don't throw the word "envy" around because the more that you say "I'm not envy", the more that it looks like you are. you are the only singer that reacted to Marcelito Pomoy that used that word. arrivederci.
This poor warped reaction by this woman is riddled and green with envy. This is not the Kindergarten school. Maybe she'll have a more successful time there because it's obvious that she is absolutely anonymous and unrecognized in the music world
Okay, aside from stopping the song every 2 seconds, you have to judge and critique Marcelito on a different scale than you normally use because 1) He is sitting down. 2) He is a man singing a woman's part. 3) English is not his first language. 4) He's had no vocal instructions of any kind -- self taught.
Unfortunately, this Opera singer guru doesn't see that but mainly focus on technical aspect.. too bad from her to see and appreciate other side of beauty. :))
Welcome again to the Philippines home of great singers..actually he has no proper training but self taught his talent is God given..and react to his cover of conte partiro /time to say goodbye
Yes, he breath in the middle of the word, but he is sitting down and lose 30 to 50 procent of the Support, it's not easy to do, after this, he's a great imitator and have a beautiful voice. God bless you, Marcelito 👏🙏🤝👂
I'll give her a thumbs up for her HONEST comments but a thumbs down for Mr Pomroy's weirdness. It'd be better for him if he decides whether to sing like a woman or a man, then he could be a great singer.
I see your reaction as just listening to find fault, stopping at every moment for your negativity and not to appreciate and take the consideration of what talent he's got. I mean, if you can't do what he can, there's no justice in your criticism. Just because you're a trained opera singer doesn't mean you're right in everything you're saying. I think most people don't need to be a trained musical artist to appreciate talent. It's strange that you have to say "I don't envy him singing sitting down".......why do you have to say that if you're not and how many times have you got to say it??????duh!!!!!!
Marcelito Pomoy is most viewed here in RUclips, millions & millions of views. So many reaction videos for him around the world and ALL OF THEM ARE SHOCK always. He is one of a kind and multi talented singer with many voices. Take note, he has no formal training just plain gifted. He is the real deal!
Now you have critisized lets see you do it, but remember he is Filipino so English and Italian are not his mother tongue and also he as had no formal training.
I get it how you systematically broke down how the song is supposed to be sang. However you missed some points. He was trying ti mimic Celine and Andrea's voice instead of expounding ans projecting his own. With jumping back and forth with least effort, breathing while if you close your eyes he would like you to imagine both Celine and Andrea was singing instead of one guy singing. He has done this with no training like you and your friends have. Imagine he was homeless all he could think growing up is how to eat, sleep through the night basic survival at a very young age. So no training or someone guiding him or teaching him, he speaks tagalog some crude english and definitely no italian. He was just given a mic and mostly mimicked what he heard, this is just talent. And we appreciate this talent and hope his family would never has to go through his hardship. Oh and Celine Dion herself appreciates Marcelito and wanted to meet him.
analogy: when a book sells a lot of copies, the author gets to be called a 'best-selling' author, not 'best-writing' author. Knowing all of the rules about grammar, syntax, and semantics doesn't guarantee a good story. While Pomoy's technique is raw, his entertainment value and passion are what draw people to him. You actually are right when commenting on his intonation and breathing errors, but in the big picture of things, he doesn't need to be technically perfect...
Of course I agree! Leonard Cohen is one of my all time favorite artists, but his voice sounds like someone threw a bag of marbles in a busted dryer. Artistic integrity and the emotional responses artists illicit are far more important than technique. However, my channel is specifically about simply analyzing technique and vocal physiology. By pointing out moments when something is anatomically not operating at its best, I’m not saying “so and so is a bad artist or performer” just “this is what is happening vocally that is unstable/stable/etc”
@@AngelAzzarraOpera fair enough. I was just stating that most videos of this type (reaction) are for fans to share their love and joy for an artist with other people, not to hear a critical (negative?) break down of someone they like. Perhaps you should have entitled this video: "Why M. Pomoy needs vocal lessons" or, "My professional opinion of M. Pomoy's strengths and weaknesses". As a music teacher, I might have still clicked on either of these two (especially the 2nd) and had a different mindset going into your discussion. I love watching 'Kennedy Center Honors' videos, and the vast majority of the posts are positive, glowing about how the honoree was beloved or how the viewer was moved by the event. If someone were to post something negative, it wouldn't fit the vibe of the video. If you say you're establishing a channel for an academic analysis of singers, I might be interested in hearing your take on quite a few of so-called 'singing stars'... But with Marcelito, his fans know his life story and want others to learn who he is and love him too... I guess it all starts with the original viewpoint of the viewer - if I like something, I want you to like it. If I don't like something, I want you to not like it.
What should she do? She is an opera singer, a teacher, an expert.Marcelito is a God-givven talent, but not formal trained (for anything). If you are a prof. singer, a prof. carpenter, a prof. anyboby of any skills, you feel the difference between prof. and amateur. He is (still) amateur........... (She is elegant, didn't want to say this!)
she just wanted to see how FAR can Marcelito go. so do not be offended. its her way of saying things because she is a teacher. based on how Marcelito sings, she would like to educate us about what Marcelito is doing and what technique he could have applied to improve it.
I agree with you, if you can pick up on those little things, if your ear tells you this doesn't sound right even if the story is nice, even if people love it, even if it impresses everyone, your ear is screaming this is not the way it is supposed to be. It is what fans can't get, yes, you can like it, but don't excuse the mistakes when someone points them out not even with a nice story the ear hears what the ear hears.
For me..considering he has no voice lesson ..no coaching he did by himself ..orphan .living on the street..he's incredible...close to perfection..who could do that? Now he is famous..clear our mind . He 's exceptional.
Can you post your best solo recording or you can make a cover of the prayer and let us react to it. You sound like your a good singer so that wouldnt be a hustle for you i guess. We look forward to your video.
Actually since you mentioned the fact the duet didn’t allow him to reach his full potential, he recorded a studio version with harmonies you should check it out!
It's easier said than done. The difficulty of creating a rich male tenor voice and a beautiful female soprano voice, and switching between them at will, is well understood by music experts. If you're a music expert, I think you should obediently evaluate that point.
you’re being bothered by his breathing. but of course. it is a duet song and should be sung by two singers. do you expect him not to breathe while doing both? oh my.
Perfect notes is not his quality , he didn't had a vocal vocal coach. He can switch form high to low , from male to female in a blink of an eye, even in a middle of phrases , is quite unique . I never seen somebody do that , switching so fast , i didn't think is even possible. That is his quality.
Dimash can switch , others can switch to , some less some more . I'm talking about how fast he can switch back and forth . It's a skill. Marcelito Pomoy Remote Control Challenge . ruclips.net/video/FGBiCPtT830/видео.html
A thing everybody forgot to tell you Angel is that he never had prior coaching or vocal studies, he just discovered his talent while he was a homeless kid on Manila streets
AB+CD=MP ( Andrea Bocelli + Celine Dion = Marcelito Pomoy ) He is like Sen. Manny Pacquiao.., One of a Kind in the World & Universe.., Proud to be Pinoy, To GOD be the Glory! 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
I feel like most of the people in the comments have never had criticism in their lives. She is reacting and giving feedback on what she heard. This is what he did well and this is what he didn’t do well. Most singer reactors on RUclips do that. They give technical advice and explain what’s happening to the average joe. Nothing that she said was incorrect but she wasn’t saying it to dig on him. If you go through life without being paddled or told no then you won’t know what’s right and wrong. Same principle.
Please watch him sing "not enough" and "despacito" as he performs at the "one night magical concert". Because his other duet performances at the America's Got Talent are not probably your preference.
Dear Angel, you have to know that Marcelito NEVER had any vocal training. He listens to a song and duplicates it so he doesn't know the breathing techniques that people with training knows. You mentioned Morissette so I want you to know that the Wish 107.5 music awards marcelito Morissette Secret Love Song is a great duet to react to.
Yeah, he might lack some of the techniques, but his voice is beautiful. His English pronunciation is awesome, considering he doesn't speak the language. Like, at all. He's got his wife as a translator.
@@williegeronimo5779 SHE cannot sing dual voices... she probably expects Marcelito to harmonize with himself... I'd like her to try it herself before she opens her yap to criticize a truly talented, self-taught young man known throughout the world while she isn't known at all... except maybe in whatever corner she sings at while holding a paper cup for donations. Critics revert to criticism when they don't have the skills and talents to perform.... singing, art, whatever.
He sang Chinese song by Teresa Teng and he doesn't even speak Chinese at all. It took him a week to practice that song. If that was me it will take me months to memorize the lyrics don't count me in singing the song because I can't sing at all. 😊
@@williegeronimo5779 you know what you said doesn't make sense. They just complimented him about being good at pronouncing English words even without speaking the language, and here you are asking her if they could speak Filipino. Please tell me how that makes any sense whatsoever.
Funny thing is I belong to the old school. When I listen to music I listen with my ears and not with my eyes. I don't really care of his posture whether he's sitting down or standing up, I don't care whether he's not opening his mouth wide enough or not. What is important is the quality of sound registering in my ears. If it's pleasant then I appreciate it, if not I stop right away. What is amazing about these singers are they are self-taught.... No voice training or professional teaching as majority of them can not afford a voice coach. Nobody to tell them when or when not to breath, how to open their mouth, and what's the proper stance. The fact that he can do both voices in two different spectrums, in two different genres, two different languages not his own (Neither can he speak English fluently nor speak a word of Italian} alternatingly at a fast phase and still sound nice is definitely a God-given talent.
Tipsy I have watched it on many, many other “Reaction Channels” and the would interrupt the video twice or less. React, yes but don’t react to every note.
I'm so sorry to see all these hate comments from fanatics when all you said was the truth. I just hope you are able to handle it well. You are the most objective non biased vocal coach I've seen on youtube, continue being authentic and honest in your reviews.🙏✌️
This should be labeled "Opera Singer Over Commenting on Marcelito Pomoy". The opera singer has been trained and has worked on her hobby. Marcelito was given his gift from God and has little training in what he does. I find his talent inspirational, as well as his back story. It was quite sad that this opera singer could not just appreciate the immense talent and God's gift that she was just presented with. I do not know this opera singer, nor have I heard her. I have heard Marcelito and have fallen in love with his wonderful skill and professionalism throughout his recent found fame.
Cut him some slack.... that is his thunder to duet with himself... its not always "its not sung the way the writer intended it to be" he is utilizing the phrase "making a song your own" and as an artist you need to be creative and flexible.
I preferred his sound and technique. He has zero formal training in technique and breath control, and he has technical limits. However, he sounds perfect to me. To me.
Some will Like him and others will dislike him And that’s OK. She was just being honest with his breathing and technique. She also didn’t mention that she didn’t like him. But I feel that it’s more impressive that someone like Marcelito has never had any vocal training whatsoever. Everything was self taught. He couldn’t afford the lessons if he wanted to back then. It was just something to appreciate for WHAT IT WAS. Even if vocally trained, could anyone else have done what he did?
I have heard you singing ,come on ,how the hell can you kit-pick like that, and your singing voice is way below par . If your that good at singing Opera put up a video of you singing ,and show us how it`s should be done?
Agree. Never heard of her though. She says she's an opera singer, but let's see her show a post of her singing so we can see how she compares. But then again, those who are most critical think highly of themselves and don't really have much talent to boast about.
i've been teaching music for almost 30 years... unless someone pays me for a lesson (and asks for constructive criticism), I try not to find fault 'first'... I listen and watch for positive, and build a lesson around that. as you said, it is what it is - at least in this video, you seemed to be looking for a moment to say something critical, which makes the vibe of the reaction uncomfortable to watch.
Totally agreed. Her reaction from start to end is so frustrating as she keeps finding faults here and there. what's more uncomfortable I find her reaction is she keeps making facial expression as if she saw and heard something awful. What's wrong with this lady? She doesn't have to say wow or amazing but she doesn't need to say those harsh comments in order to make herself sound professional. Hers is the worst reaction I have ever seen. Don't ever want to see her face again.
He can pull off a high vibrato without jiggling his jaw, so is this really a falsetto????? Or is this really just the very high end of his range? Of course the quiet parts are very restrained, because the high notes are stupid high for his voice. Could you do any better if you had to sing in the low end of the 2nd octave?Lets say c2 for example. Would d2 coming out of your mouth sound a little restrained?
There's a video of him doing this live at an outdoor dinner event in Spain. At first no one really pays attention, some even chuckle. By the end there were old men getting on their feet in awe.
This girl is very professional 😂😂😂 and perfect, she said that she is opera singer, but the way she critic marcelito like shes more vocal coach 😂😂😂 damn, all the lines in the song she has a comment over and over again, why dont you try to sing that song while sitting and switching with two voices 😂😂😂 like its very easy for you
Guys, some of you may be looking at this in the wrong way, I feel. If you just want to watch a reaction, then a vocal coach or highly trained singer's channel is probably not where you want to go. Her job isn't to protect our fee fees. It's to critique and give her expert opinion about singers from a standpoint of skill. She's not obligated to give anyone praise but she gave Marcellito a lot of it. And here's the thing. From the viewpoint of those of us who have been trained and/or have a calling to do, well, anything... we want and NEED critique to be able to improve. If someone only ever says good things about what you do, you never get better. Does anyone here honestly believe that Dimash got as phenomenal as he is without regular critique from his coach? Does anyone with any brains actually believe his coach doesn't STILL give him critique? And D has said more than once that it's what he WANTS. I guarantee you someone like Pomoy wanted it, too. And honestly, her critique is very helpful to those of us who are singers and I think that's her purpose here in doing these reactions. We all yearn to continue to improve. So don't take it negatively. ☺️💜🧡
totally agree with your comment Music reaches all ears, as air reaches all lungs. People have to be more tolerant of criticism and appreciate praise for their idols. We go through these channels for a reason. To learn I am Dear, and I also like Marcelito a lot, and other singers more and I like to visit the vocal training channels to understand more about my singer, as well as others, because that way music is appreciated more. We all make mistakes, and it seems to me that the vocal coach here did his job well. In general, she praises and analyzes everyone, including Di, but once she made a mistake, she reacted accompanied by a friend, and they did not focus on the complete analysis and said that Di failed (oohhh! And suffered the exaggerated anger of many. Incomprehensible She is human, she may also be wrong :) Overall, she has made very good reviews, I learn a lot from it. so patience and tolerance towards her and each other. that's it ... short !! Health
Yes you're right with his breathing when he's transitioning in one voice to another but if u want to see someone who's better than him singing in dual voices i think maybe u can find her/him not in world
Ok let me preface this by saying I am a Filipino, born and raised in the 🇵🇭. What I don't understand is why do most Filipinos commenting here felt the need to defend Marcelito? Why do you guys act like she is criticizing him? Maybe her critiques were just lost in translation, but these were her points: 1. Marcelito's head voice sounds beautiful, albeit too controlled. Where she then said it made sense when she found out that he is singing in 2 different voices. 2. His chest voice sounds very good as well. 3. The song is restricting Marcelito from showing us more of his vocal range because the way it was written makes it impossible to be sang by one person. YET, she thinks marcelito has done it masterfully. And she's excited to hear him showcase more of his voice while singing a song where he doesn't have to switch voices. She knows that the talent is there. I never heard her criticize Marcelito, not even once. As a matter of fact, I did appreciate how she broke down the techniques and vocal hoops that marcelito had to jump thru to make this song sound really good it actually made me appreciate marcelito's vocal prowess more! Lesson: We have to be more objective when listening to people speaking and not get caught up with our emotions and jump into conclusions. Peace mga kababayan!✌
You forgot to look at her face. Haven't you noticed that she watched it before and when she recorded, that's the time she looked for negative criticism and the only mistake she found is his breathing techniques. So she keep on repeating it again and again. But that's her opinion. We don't know what's in her heart. But I can see envy in her eyes and it came out to her mouth. Well that's what I observed. Just an honest criticism on her reaction. That's what I think and my opinion too. Everyone is free to comment and speak. It's a free world but if you want good comments to bounce back at you, speak with your heart. Peace everyone!👍
@@user-cv1jz5do4e after reading your comment, i went back and watched her reaction again. I gotta say, I really didn't hear her say anything offensive against marcelito. Maybe the lack of the "oh wow!" - moment caused other people to think she didn't like him or as u said, this video before and now just nitpicking it. On her comments about breath support, I kinda agree tho that there were a lot of parts that didn't have a solid breath support, but then she chalked it up to marcelito having to jump between 2 voices, that he has to make sure he's always ready to "slot himself in the pocket." I noticed that opera singers are really critical on breath control. I believe it is because it is their rule of thumb in delivering beautiful vocal renditions. Lastly, I do think that all her critics are spot on, albeit devoid of "butter". That's OK tho, coz if I was marcelito, I would honestly appreciate this objective comments coz I will then see how I can improve my craft further. Furthermore, I don't think she dislikes him, proof is in 10:41. You can see it in her smile and asking for more of his videos. P.S. @Truth Seeker - I appreciate your tactful reply. I do look forward to intellect discussions. Peace ✌ my friend!
Well, you're one Filipino who doesn't appreciate TALENT, God-given talent. What's to be more objective than considering the amazing male female voice transition that's so unique, singing sitting down and able to attain and maintain those high notes flawlessly and effortlessly. What's more objective than recognizing his humble beginnings as an orphan and homeless and yet his English and Italian are just perfect, Italians have said so themselves. Don't talk about or preach us about getting caught up with our emotions......... full of negativity stirs one to combat it with positivity. As the saying goes, "if you can't say anything nice, just shut up"
@@NinaNina-tm2mo Hi. After reading your comment, I went back and re-read my whole comment to see if there are any statements that I said that might've given the impression that I do not appreciate marcelito's talent just like you said. But I really couldn't find any. Did you even read my entire comment before spewing allegations? Please copy and paste the sentence where I didn't appreciate marcelito's talent? You just proved my point on how we must be objective and not emotional about things.
To ALL the "VOICE COACHES", Singer's, performers, please stop with the "overthetop" analysis, and just recognize a musical talent you've never seen before....and be in awe! He's not trying to sing the song the way the conductor created it.... he's trying to showcase a very unique, unusual ability! Especially for those who.... interrupt incessantly, trying to sing themselves! Just still, be quiet, listen with your ears and your heart, and marvel at his talent; like the rest of us!
Well, we his fans like that he sang both parts of a duet all by himself! We don't care that he interrupted himself doing it. He got a record contract after winning Philipines Got Talent with this song, and when he recorded it he did two tracks, one for each voice, and then the sound engineer mixed them. That came out more like I think you would have like. For a whole song in his female voice, check out Marcelito impersonating Celine Dion's voice all the way through "The Power of Love. ruclips.net/video/2EQ3bVoLYLY/видео.html Or "Never Be Enough" which appears to be in his own voice. ruclips.net/video/O26yGkVc37I/видео.html
SingDanceKC Thank you my friend. I appreciated your good comments to Marcelito, he has a gifted unique dual voices. No question about it... I just thankful marcelito pomoy despite of being homeless. By the God’s Grace, He stand up and sing and intertain the people..
He is totally untrained, he was homeless and lived on the streets from about 7 years old till he was 21. This is a god given talent.
Johnnie. Marcelito Pomoy have to decide what range he's going to sing for the rest of his carreer.
No voice lessons.....but he is very good while you guys are prifessionally trained...he is gifted
It doesn't matter if he technically sings it the wrong way or what ever, it is in the ear of the beholder that counts.
correct and well said
❤❤❤ Amen!
you nailed it...its the EAR...the built in machine(innate) is already inside him waiting for the input from the ear...
If he did it the way you want. He’d be like every other singer out there. His performance makes him special and unique. At least that’s what I think
It is not about perfection,it is about talent. You may have all the breath support you that can have, but you can not have a dual voice.
very much agree with you...she's finding a perfect twist for the song, but when she begun to sing...urgggg....sorry..but she needs more training than Marcelito...
I agree. He's sitting down, by the way.
@@rosemiles6162 I thought the very same thing.
Thank you.
I'm sorry
sana mag.upload xa ng kanyang sariling version ng kantang ito.. and do it with dual voice.. shes pro right? hope he can do both voice.. hahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Austin Scott nope still not getting vocal lessons
That is nice, but still doesn't excuse or makes it perfect for someone with a trained ear. For someone who can pick on those things it doesn't sound right even if the story is heartwarming and even if he has all those tricks, technically still is not right.
@@everuby4787 Of course you are right. I never suggested otherwise. Just giving some background
I respect him a lot.
the fact that he can sing both 2 parts and switch effortless is already out of this world.. i havent seen someone doing what he does...
He's not other kinda guy that have someone to train bout his voice, he truly owns that voice without a couch, he is homeless, just sleeping in sidewalk, and everytime he has problem he just sing, and thats how he learn ALL BY HIMSELF his voice and it's range❤️
Lol, it's easy to be critical when you don't have any songs posted. Look forward to hearing your perfect voice.
you can't accept the fact that he sings so amazing.
it's so difficult to do that especially he is a male.
He has no formal training or undergone voice lesson like you... Imagine him how he perform if someone trained him .
@zoki kostadinov having talent is never his fault... racist like you belongs in primal ages... its not about survival of the fitest anymore, it more of appreciating what we have and sharing this to the world...we dont give a fuck what you think.. upload your own video and lets see what you got!!!
@zoki kostadinov What Dimash have anything to do with this and why the rest have to be "wanna bees", comparing to him? Plz explain.
Okay, okay, you’re a pro. We get that. Now it’s your turn let’s see your version of two voices of one song LIVE!!!
Rolando, I am with you. Jealous opera singer.

I love his version of Power of love by the way
You are too perfectionist..., in his breathing, can you sing the song like him
with perfect breathing?
Right on; write on!
That right
I want to hear her sing this song just so we can compare since she said she has sang this billion times.
5.) Italian isn't his third language
Unfortunately, this Opera singer guru doesn't see that but mainly focus on technical aspect.. too bad from her to see and appreciate other side of beauty. :))
Nice reaction ma'am,but for the record....he never have a voice teacher in his life,,,,PURE TALENT as we say....thanks for the reaction....
You're missing the forest for the trees. Its actually how he jumps from voice to voice. How easy it is to flip back and forth. Breathing?
Welcome again to the Philippines home of great singers..actually he has no proper training but self taught his talent is God given..and react to his cover of conte partiro /time to say goodbye
Please, please, please... don't mention Charice.
Why?Charice is amazing and marcelito love them both.
Yes, he breath in the middle of the word, but he is sitting down and lose 30 to 50 procent of the Support, it's not easy to do, after this, he's a great imitator and have a beautiful voice. God bless you, Marcelito 👏🙏🤝👂
You received Thumbs Up for Marcelito and you received Thumb Down for your comments. Just telling the Truth.
I'll give her a thumbs up for her HONEST comments but a thumbs down for Mr Pomroy's weirdness. It'd be better for him if he decides whether to sing like a woman or a man, then he could be a great singer.
Correct!
Iii
I'll pay you Ms. Opera $100 if you can sing exactly like him, but if not you have to pay me back $200 !DEAL.
You sound so negative and technical in your comments but admitted you cannot sing his range duh ..😂😂😂
maybe she has lots of insecurities while she was training to become a singer....i would not recommend her to coach marcelito.hahahahaha.

True. Hahahaha
Well said. In my opinion , It's not the breathing techniques, it's the outcome that matters and how the listeners appreciate it.
But with Marcelito, his fans know his life story and want others to learn who he is and love him too...

so true, its like saying to PICASSO your strokes are off!!! Hahaha no comparison on standard technically
she just wanted to see how FAR can Marcelito go. so do not be offended. its her way of saying things because she is a teacher. based on how Marcelito sings, she would like to educate us about what Marcelito is doing and what technique he could have applied to improve it.
Her voice isn't all that. She should just shut her huge pie hole and listen.

Diana Campbell he’s a good singer and unique dual voices, Miss Diana, don’t underestimate him, he is Filipino, how about you, can you speak Filipino.
@@williegeronimo5779 Can you say straight what is in your mind? Why should I speak Filipino?
Hey Angel, why don't you try to sing The prayer, but no partner. To realize how hard to sing that song. I dare you.
Such a mean spirited reaction
Play Situation has left the channel.
Its his interpretation , if you like to hear the original then listen to the original bocelli dion song

I'm so sorry to see all these hate comments from fanatics when all you said was the truth. I just hope you are able to handle it well. You are the most objective non biased vocal coach I've seen on youtube, continue being authentic and honest in your reviews.🙏✌️
I’m gonna just keep nerding out on vocal anatomy and pedagogy, practicing, and uploading! Thank you for your kind words! 😇💗

Hahaha..... I bet it won't sink in into her brain
Let's wait and see.

I have heard Marcelito and have fallen in love with his wonderful skill and professionalism throughout his recent found fame.
thank you sir for admiring marcelito, best regards from germany
He does the power of love all in the celine voice sound .. it will show his breathing technique
Wow lovely , beautiful voice! The Prayer song. Bravo!
Stop making reactions to covers f ur just gonna talk about breathing honey.....way too technical.....
Thanks for your appreciation
Mam we're so glad for Marcelito Pomoy
i love this guy! He's so talented and underrated!
Why underrated?
Sarah Grace Dioneda im not good at english but should be “overrated” right?
I don't know to you girl but he sounds perfect for me and i bet you cannot do what his capable of doing to be honest.
I’m not a professional singer but you criticised his performance way to much
Of course...Because she can't do it..
That’s why you clicked the video
Lil Monarch that makes no sense what you said
She’s a vocal coach what did you expect her to do?
@@funkyfranx Vocal coach? That's funny..
Proud_USN_ Vet_81-87 She has a video of her singing on this channel if you’re looking for it.
Are you denying that he interrupts his phrases by breathing preemptively? It's not really her opinion. It's fact.
@@manuelt966 so you mean that opera singers they dont breath while performing?
Jelrac Fabillar When did I ever mention breath or opera singing in my comment??
we heard you singing and its kinda lost! 😂😂😂
i've been teaching music for almost 30 years... unless someone pays me for a lesson (and asks for constructive criticism), I try not to find fault 'first'... I listen and watch for positive, and build a lesson around that. as you said, it is what it is - at least in this video, you seemed to be looking for a moment to say something critical, which makes the vibe of the reaction uncomfortable to watch.
Very well said.
So many hurt feelings in here lmao! It was a legit breakdown, no sugarcoating bs. Keep up the honest work young lady (:
There's a video of him doing this live at an outdoor dinner event in Spain. At first no one really pays attention, some even chuckle. By the end there were old men getting on their feet in awe.
"I don't know how the harmony will go on"
Marcelito: Just watch it
There was no harmony
What harmony? There's none. You can't harmony with one voice/note.
Girl, for heavensake!!! Just enjoy this brilliant singer.
totally agree with your comment
Music reaches all ears, as air reaches all lungs.
People have to be more tolerant of criticism and appreciate praise for their idols.
We go through these channels for a reason. To learn
I am Dear, and I also like Marcelito a lot, and other singers more and I like to visit the vocal training channels to understand more about my singer, as well as others, because that way music is appreciated more.
Incomprehensible She is human, she may also be wrong :) Overall, she has made very good reviews, I learn a lot from it.
so patience and tolerance towards her and each other.
that's it ... short !!

Yes you're right with his breathing when he's transitioning in one voice to another but if u want to see someone who's better than him singing in dual voices i think maybe u can find her/him not in world
Please React To Marcelito Pomoy Performs "Never Enough" At One Magical Night Concert.
There are no other person sing like him. He also self-taught .l think he did a great job.
Ok let me preface this by saying I am a Filipino, born and raised in the 🇵🇭.
What I don't understand is why do most Filipinos commenting here felt the need to defend Marcelito? Why do you guys act like she is criticizing him?
Maybe her critiques were just lost in translation, but these were her points:
Lesson:
We have to be more objective when listening to people speaking and not get caught up with our emotions and jump into conclusions.
