People misunderstand couple goals. It simply means we love what we see, not that we want their entire lives. It's like liking the way someone dresses, you don't want anything to do with how they get the money to buy the clothes. People constantly trying to justify their marriage to the world are always bound to separate. When you start justifying yourself to others, you have already lost faith and confidence in yourself.

I watched her interview and soon as I saw how stressed she was about financial burden and going 50/50 I knew then. Anytime a woman feels that tense, scared and fragile while having a whole man at home means she is not being given financial safety, harmony and that was her cry to the world and for all of to know what is to come. I really do feel bad for her but no women should feel that tense or scared in the presence of someone she calls ‘husband’. I am not judging her but it’s ok to be alone and happy, I wish her the best.

I agree on him going 50/50 with her. They both have big lifestyles, however women cost more especially those in the spot light. I see nothing wrong with that, she is a modern woman after all.
I just didn't like how they tried to stop Dwayne's ex-wife from having any say in their child's life but now Gabrielle and Dwayne might be living separate lives after Gabrielle basically seemed to push his first wife away.
and this is the part so many dismiss on Gabby only due to the celeb status. IMO it was wrong. Outside of an ex being disrespectful or harmful to the child, there's no reason for that behavior.

When he said “she kept on showing up” that rubbed me the wrong way. It seems like she just couldn’t let him go. Once a cheater, always a cheater and he really wanted her to go.

That's the thing he was trying to break up with her, but she was being a "pick me" girl. Never let a man tell you that he doesn't want you twice. The fact that she said I will pay half so that you don't say this is my house and he was not remorseful and say no I got this is very telling.

I can tell you as a therapist, it is difficult to come back after an infidelity. It's not impossible, but the couples I've seen have yet to make it. They may prolong the relationship, but eventually it dissolves.

I'm a man and wish them both well. I will say that when couples always surface every moment of their relationship (and women are typically the party here), it tells me that they're not spending time being present and in the moment for their relationship. The intimacy outside of social media also allows couples to work through issues without the burden of public expectation or opinion - which cannot possible help. This is not a particular judgment on either Dwyane or Gabrielle or fault in any direction, but a general thought process. I'd first put my money on a couple like Nnamdi Asomugha and Kerry Washington where we don't even know if they still exist before any of these "couples goals" couples.

The truth is that age really plays a major role as the marriage grows old and the honeymoon stage fades. This is true because, most marriages with that 10yrs gap and above i notice how the women struggle to show love and affection to the men to stay in the marriage we are looking at a perfect example here. She literally begged this man on national television, multiple times, to marry her. I don’t see how he was beneath her. Sadly, she bypassed all the signs from the beginning and even continued to pursue a married man that had a family. I don’t feel bad for either party, it was truly doomed from the start. Gabrielle should have let Dwayne go since he cheated on her and had an outside child. Dwayne said he did not know how to tell Gabrielle he cheated and was expecting a child, he just wanted to break up but Gabbie refuse to have him break up with her so he had no choice but to tell her cheated and got another woman pregnant. But she wanted to hold on to Dwayne Wade so bad. I think she wanted a baby more than anything. Fumi you’re right the age gap is huge. I wish them both the best!

9 years is not a big gap, 20 or 30 years and I can see problems happening.
Right. Some people still think the man should be older than the woman. For them 9 years sounds unheard of.
But I've mostly heard positive outcomes from younger man/ older woman relationships.

As part of marrying, Dwayne probably promised her a family since he did the ultimate slap to get someone immediately pregnant while on a clear head, break moment. At any rate, they married, and she couldn't stay pregnant.. It could've been all the emotional stress he took her through..but thru surrogacy he got a little girl that looks just like him. I think the break baby is part of their tension now, and Wade not helping Gabby when her dad is not well with dementia.. It's sad how Hollywood couples are based on so much fakeness and shallowness... they don't have the substance to last. I agree with most of what you stated in this episode in addition Gabby knew from the contentious situation between Dwayne and his ex wife that there needed to be a pause then but the heart wants what the heart wants. But following this dangerous mindset of wanting what the hearts wants you don’t see people for who and what they are Dwayne has been in the news and for a star athlete too much exposure isn’t good which overshadows his wife and these other alleged women wont make it any better. The red flag was her determination to latch on to an ELITE professional athlete regardless of him being MARRIED WITH CHILDREN. The red flag was Gabrielle being an ADMITTED serial cheater herself. So the red flags were glaring from the get go on BOTH sides. It takes two to make a marriage successful or fail. From what I'm seeing and hearing, he's moved on with someone else and she moved out of their home with their daughter. So if they are apart, oh well. It was never a marriage that was started on a solid foundation to begin with - and those rarely ever last.

This relationship always strikes me as unbalance. She seems so into him and his body language seems like he is along for the ride. The public nature of this relationship forces them to keep up a facade. The way he treated his first wife was such a turn off for me.
