He said this around 2010: “Many people take pictures of every course and some even take photos of the wines as well. I don’t necessarily mind this, but I wonder why people so passionate about food would sacrifice the integrity of the courses, instead prioritizing the documentation.” - Chef Grant Achatz
@Steven Attaway well I'm not an award winning chef but I've made many meals and pastries for people over the years professionally... sometimes I wish I was able to look back at some of the things I've made.
You know, for some people who may have bad memory but would want to remember something like this as vividly as possible maybe you’re wrong? Have some perspective mate, life isn’t about feeling superior.
Try to get propre haïr cut look not clean and dirty 3 star Michelin should look super clean then using gloves in kitchen then worst using single use plastic sppoon not sucking spoon all kitchen then put in cold water then using all night
I have followrd this nans careeer and he never stops inovating. The way his mind works is inredible. I love you Chef Grant!
Funny how quick grant is out of there as soon as its done
I think he's dodging questions about how to eat it, as I think it's part of the dish to figure out how to do it. He's done this in more clips.
He also has to do this with every table during the same service. So I’m sure he’s trying to get to every table as fast as possible.
its the middle of service he doesnt have time for conversations hes the head ched and its a very intense job
i do agree it is funny tho
I wonder if he feels disrespected by the people who film him and rather watch the screen of their phone while he is creating art in front of them.
I think it actually the opposite and he is flattered that people are documenting it on their phones for memories because it is just that good

isn't food about its taste , I don't know why people love this "eye candy" stuff

I think if so he has a very fragile ego
Thinking your meal is enhanced by watching through your cellphone is like eating with dentures.

*goes out of way to watch this specific video and then complain that someone recorded this specific video*
Im thinking how much
$1000
These people seem to be enjoying themselves and take it all in .. not like the typical d bags you see in a number of these videos.
I am all about thinking outside of the box but he took it and place it on the bloody table..!!
Apparently the table is covered with a clean, hygienic plastic sheet first.
Uhh, never mind. I'll just have a grilled-cheese sandwich.
Enjoy eating from the table, little piggies
Asmr
Like a clown at a kid"s birthday party.
They pay a ton of money to eat off of a table full of last years Halloween candy!! 🙄
U trippin lady. This guy just made a Picasso art out of a blank canvas.
Ya missed it.
