For many Americans, who have 100% maternity coverage under our health insurance policy, it is NOT cheaper to give birth in Mexico. By giving birth in Mexico, we need to pay the whole cost upfront, then seek reimbursement of 70% from our insurance company. We’re also paying months of apartment rental, so it’s absolutely NOT cheaper to give birth in Mexico. The point for us is the immigration benefit, not the fantasy of lower cost.

You should be happy the Americans and others foreigners are coming over because they're spending their money which is 20 times stronger than yours, they're generating revenue for your economy without taking jobs that pay good money from the native Mexican people, they're still working in their country producing their own country's money and then turning around spend that money in your economy its makes that's a huge gain for a nation not a loss.
