He's right - "this statue is absolute rubbish ' - yes, but it's my rubbish and my home - not a museum. Also, the interesting wall treatment reminds me of a dining room in George Washington's Mount Vernon - all painted green and shellacked/varnished to create a highly reflective surface for candlelight of the 18th century.
His style is glorious. What a treat to be invited for drinks or dinner and sit in the dinning room.
What is the dinning room? Is that where the karaoke goes on?

@@cameronrobinson9859 🤔Normally, I eschew excess formality and fuss. I am also extremely particular about color and pattern -- especially knowing I have chosen both that I quickly came to regret😔.
😝Agree, following trends can be boring. There is a big danger to chasing a theme-oriented decor scheme. Ultimately, that can feel soulless as well as disingenuous.
Something highly satisfying about classic English estate elegance. Also homes that look like they have been cleverly and lovingly built over time, yet still feel fresh and inviting.
This gentleman's home is quite remarkable. Love all his rich layers. It is a jewel box without being precious. The perfect balance of masculine & feminine energy. Clearly, he is a connoisseur of fine things and understands components of timeless design.
Although honestly I think there is a vast gulf between what he and I consider rubbish🗑.

I keep coming back here because of his eclectic style of blending color and texture. He understands the value of light and making a home filled with love.

Why are H&G videos so short? This is such a gorgeous home and the camera needs sometimes to linger as we would do if visiting in person.

With all the current talk about minimalism, to see the exact opposite (maximalism) is surprisingly refreshing. It's a symphony of organized, colorful and tasteful chaos, I love that.
I've seen this home 20 years ago in a magazine. I was struck by the stenciling in the red room. I've never seen anything more perfect than the style of this home It's luxurious yet comfy. Classical yet far out . The talent to pull off the stencils in the living room are also outstanding.
An absolutely stunning apartment. Every room is so different but has such grandness. His dining room would be amazing to sit & enjoy for hours. He takes such pride in everything inc his appearance. Very stylish & interesting man.
I adore dark rooms. They are interesting,sultry and sexy. Anyone can do boring white. A true artistic,creative person isn't afraid of colour.

This is my style. I adore the opulent rich colors of the middle east, Ottoman empire. You have inspired me. I'm fixing what I refer to as the garden room. I've painted my own wall paper inspired by that from your dinning room. If I had the money, I would hire you. Lovely, simply lovely.

That was a beautiful home. Not for ordinary people but for this gentleman it was lovely.
Gorgeous. Elegant and luxurious but it feels livable and not like a museum. Like others, imagining the ambiance of those candlelit rooms!! Love the painting above the mantle in the Red Room, mimicking a mirror of the beautiful room. Also guessing he is Persian, from the lovely displays of pomegranates, dried apricots, pears, cherries, and citrus. I could be lost for months looking at everything. Thank you for sharing!

Selecting yellow paint and have it subtlety shine is perhaps one of the top challenges in interior design - it is the most difficult color to use in a room. This is an example of perfect color application. I wonder if it was mixed as custom - just terrific. Thank you ✨
i try to teach people that a good interior designed home should always be a beautiful vignette at every viewers point that expresses the owner. What ever your style taste is, doesn't matter, just show character in some way and you'll have a beautiful home....just like this master !

I agree, surround yourself with objects or paintings which have a personal connection, it’s a matter of feeling comfortable in one’s rooms. I also love colour and my blue sofa sitting on my Persian rug is perfect. Plants and flowers are the other essentials

What a lovely and beautiful house - every room is gorgeous.......i have similar tastes and colour schemes......i last decorated & furnished my home 30 years ago and havent had the need to change anything since with the exception of the bathroom which i keep very dull and plain white.

Absolutely beautiful. I too have burgundy walls that I’ve stencilled with antique and eclectic mix because its what I like. I always tell my children, decorate in the colours and style you like not what is fashionable because you will enjoy your home then
