What a difference 8 years makes! I stumbled across this band in 2018. I watched a recommended video of a 10 yr old girl from Mexico playing a cover on drums, of a Kelly Clarkson song. I was immediately fascinated when I discovered she had a band with her sisters. I clicked on the first video I could find of them playing live….more than 5 years later I still can’t go a day without listening to their music. These ladies reignited my love for music that the terrible bands had killed starting in the late 1980s.
@@redheadedneighbor I strongly recommend their live performance of *Disciple* at *Teatro Metropolitan* ( _Metropolitan Theatre_ ) where the drummer and guitarist share the lead singing.
I HIGHLY recommend "Disciple" Live at Teatro Metro CDMX for your next reaction. You really can't go wrong with any of their songs, they are THAT good and reign supreme performing live. Enjoy the rabbit hole. "Evolve" & "More" Live at the VMA's are also top tier! They are about to launch into the stratosphere. I think 2024 is going to an even bigger year for them as they are really gaining momentum with new fans. Another great two tracks by The Warning to compare back to back are "Sinister Smiles" Live at Lunario, then "Sinister Smiles" Acoustic Version. They were a few years younger but I promise you won't be disappointed. They really highlight their raw talent as musicians, as singers, and as songwriters even as young teens and the song is so catchy and addicting.
"Personality"? These ladies are overflowing with personality, talent, musicianship, and love for what they do. Enjoyed watching you get 'warned'! Please continue to explore The Warning - live performances are almost always the best way to experience them. All the songs from this concert (Teatro, 2022) are pro-shot and recorded. The other great experience would be the Lunario CDMX concert from 2018 where they debut their second album (a concept album!) Songs from the Lunario are best played in order because of the storyline.
This 58 year old guy has found a new favorite band. These 3 are incredible. When you go down their rabbit hole (which you MUST do!), you’ll be amazed at the thought provoking lyrics in some of their older songs (XXI Century Blood, for example), especially when you realize that they were written by a 15 year old. I’m dying to see them live, hope a Pittsburgh stop is forthcoming. Keep up the great reviews. Indeed, you have been Warned!
I discovered the girls just about exactly 4 years ago. I've seen them live 13 times in 8 states in the past 20 months. They are everything live!!! And they are some of the sweetest people on the planet
I always enjoy a genuine reaction to the best band I have heard in decades. You have heard nothing yet. Welcome to what is possible your new addiction. There is a deep and varied rabbit hole to follow. The Warnings entire progression is on RUclips.
Three sisters from Monterrey, MX. The band started in 2012. They became The Warning in 2013. Today they are Dany, guitarrist 23, Pau, drummer 21, and Ale, bassist 19. In 2022 they did over 100 gigs in North and South America opening for Foo fighters, Halestorm, the Pretty Reckless, Three Days Grace, and Guns ‘n Roses. In 2023 they did 75 shows in thirteen countries, opening for Muse nine times, opening for Guns and Roses, and playing at the MTV VMAs. In 2024 they will play Shiprock, Tecate P’al Norte Festival in Monterrey, Vive Latino festival in Mexico City, tour Europe, Mad Cool festival in Madrid, and the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany. They are classically trained pianists; Dany & Ale have played sax in the past. All three sing lead and background vocals; Dany is the principal singer. They were inspired by the video game Rock Band and two of their songs are available on Rock Band IV. They were on the Ellen Show in 2015. They are fully bilingual as they attended a bilingual Catholic school in Monterrey, Liceo de Monterrey. Later, all graduated high school through home schooling. They attended Berklee College of Music Summer Program in Boston in 2015. They started as a cover band; the Enter Sandman cover launched their career. They now have 49 original songs in an EP, three albums, two singles, and two unreleased performed songs. No bad songs. Their newest released single, More, came out May 12th. Two new unreleased songs debuted at their Guadalajara concert. They have a rich collection of live videos, music videos and lyric videos on their channel. There are also vlogs and individual performances. Their most legendary concerts with professionaly shot video are: - Liceo de Monterrey 2015 - TEDx at University of Nevada Reno 2016 & 2017 - Dakota Bar 2018 - Lunario 2018 - Foro Didi 2019 - Whisky a Go Go 2019 & 2020 - Quarantine Concert 2020 - Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (4K and HD audio) 2022 - UK private show (acoustic and electric, now public) 2023 When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals. Dany is a goofball and sweetheart, Pau talks with passion like a machine gun, and Ale is an introvert and a perfectionist. When you fall down The Warning rabbit hole, you can’t go back!!
It was June 2015 when I first discovered The Warning by way of their “Enter Sandman” cover, the one you just watched. I knew right from the start that these young ladies were something very special and I started to binge watch literally everything I could find from them, which was very little back then. I can honestly say I have not missed a single day since then in which I have watched or listened to something of their journey. In my 64 years of life I have never been so into a band. I joined their Patreon page within the first hour of its creation and have been saying for many years now, that they would one day be recognized world wide. I fully expect them to eventually gain the status of the greatest power trio of all time, selling out the biggest venues, arenas and stadiums. They will, without doubt, end up being invited to headline the most prestigious music festivals in the world. To date I have had the great honor of meeting them via meet and greets twice, as well as enjoying their performances live. Even this early in their careers they are by far the best live band I have ever seen, and believe me, I have seen many of the greats in my time. It is an experience I suggest all who love music of any form to do if at all possible. I believe they will single-handedly bring rock music back to main stream status. I say this because I personally know of several people who have never liked rock music, or even considered listening to it, end up liking and following The Warning. They truly are as special as I originally thought 8 plus years ago when I was first introduced to them via their father’s RUclips videos. If you continue down this rabbit hole I guarantee you will not be disappointed as they have nearly 50 original songs in their collection, being found in 3 full albums, 1 EP and two stand alone singles plus the reimagined rendition of Metallicas Enter Sandman, created as a collaboration with Canadian pop star Alessia Cara exclusively for Metallicas BlackList album. They also will be releasing their 4th album this year. Choose any one of their songs and you will quickly discover they are literally incapable of putting out a bad song. “You have been warned!” LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
The talent, stage presence, and energy, of these three young women is off the charts. They all play piano and sing, and they are masters of their instruments. Their live shows are spectacular, I have seen them twice and I can honestly say that they are one of the best live bands I have ever seen. Their journey from childhood to today is all documented and can be found here on RUclips. The fan base is The Warning Army, and we love them like they were our own family. Anything you ever want to know about them all you have to do is ask and you will get answers.
Boy are you in for a treat. These sisters are on their way to the top. They have the talent, the drive, the work ethic, the smarts and the creative minds to become one of the biggest bands in the world. And it doesn't hurt that they are are all beautiful. humble, funny and gracious.
Thanks for the great reaction. Take the plunge into the The Warning rabbit hole. Their original music is great with ear worm melodies and hooks and thought provoking lyrics. These young ladies are one of kind and are destined for greatness as a power trio that gives others a run for their money.
@@redheadedneighbor This cover was done with the participation of Alessia Cara, in case nobody mentioned it. She is singing in the background at the begining and thru out the song in some parts.
This was a nice double feature! They are international rock stars now, last year sold out shows on three continents! Saw them live in London/UK, was amazed for weeks! Only three instruments, three voices, but this wall of sound they create! Go to their shows one day! Thanks, greetings from Germany 👍⚡️👍
They've been gigging and writing for 10 years. An EP,, three albums, two independently produced before they signed with Lava in 2022, two singles and their version of Enter Sandman was by invitation from Metallica and is on their Blacklist album.
oh yeah, the first Mexican rock band to ever sign with an American label. They were courted for years but stayed independent in order to stay true to their creative vision. After 7 months of negotiation they signed, retained control of their songs, and kept their Patreon of which I am proudly a member.
Ale, (prounced Aleh) the bass player was 9/17, Pau (pronounced Pow) was 12/20, and Dany, the guitarist, was 14, 22 at the time of the videos. The bass Ale is playing in the second video is a custom Specter 5-string, with a custom color called Ale's Inferno. The guitar Dany was playing in the second video, was gifted to her by Lzzy Hale of Halestorm during the Warning"s set. Dany was also gifted a guitar by Matt Bellamy, after the Warning finished touring with Muse. I believe that their current ages are 19 21, and 23 with the older two's birthdays coming up. The second version is the live version of what was for Metallica's Black album's 30th anniversery, which the recorded with Alyssa Cara.
Welcome to the rabbit hole. It's big and it's beautiful. This is the best band on the planet right now, and you can't go wrong with any song. Their interviews from when they were children in 2015 until now are also amazing. They treat their fans like family and do everything they can to give their appreciation back to us. We love them like their our own children because we have watched them grow up into the amazing and talented young ladies they are today
I found them this past October. I fell down the rabbit whole. I am now a member of The Waring Army. They are an amazing band and great people as well. I am a Patreon member for The Warning. Every month they have a live video chat with fans and awnser every question asked. Amazing , amazing musicians and artists. When watching their videos always keep in mind how young they are/were when they wrote and performed their songs.
You got a rabbit hole as deep as Ren's right here. They're working on their fourth album right now, and have been releasing albums and uploading full concerts to their channel since the earliest days. They're master songwriters and performers. Check out anything from this Teatro Metro show, it's all fire. But Disciple, Animosity, and Kool Aid Kids are personal favourites. As are Dust To Dust, 23, and Revenant, all sung by Pau (POW!) the drummer. These girls are very special.
These sisters from Mexico are so talented and at such young age they already have 3 full albums worth of great music. They are Daniela (23, guitar), Paulina (21, drums) and Alejandra (19, bass). You should definitely check out more of them. Pretty much any song you pick from their Metropolitan concert is 100% worth watching. A couple of recommendations to get you started: "Dust to Dust", "Animosity". Their official music videos are also great: "Choke", "Evolve", "Money", "Martirio", "Disciple". You have been warned! 🇲🇽⚡🤘
@@redheadedneighborThe song is a collaboration between the Warning and Alessia Cara a Canadian singer that was the high voice you heard at the beginning of the song. There is also a video that was made of the song by them you can check it out if you like. You could say is a three country song initially recorded by Metallica U.S and now including the Warning Mexico and Alessia Cara Canada, pretty cool uh.
She was playing a short scale Mustang in 2014 as a 9 year old. Spector gave her a 5 string signature bass in 2020 when she was 15. We can see that in the clip from 2022. Spector launched a series of bass in her name - Ale's Inferno. A human metronome with perfect pitch, Ale is the 1st featured artist to pop out from the drop down menu in Spector's website since 2020. Here she is expounding on her gear in August 2023 ruclips.net/video/a_vVqSkuuS4/видео.html
I'm a 56 years old random guy who usted to love good old rock music, and 6 years algo i got to hear the Enter Sandman video and My faith in music was restored, welcome to the rabitt hole, please react to the song "Evolve" live @the VMS's 2023 these women we're born to play love, they have over 50+ Songs and i haven't Heard a Bad one yet...greetings from México!!! You have been warned!!!
Thank you redhead for reacting to The Warning, the most existing band today. The Warning Army is here to give you all the information about the band. At TWA we are like the United Nations, people from all over the world.
Welcome to The Warning rabbit hole! I'd recommend Z, Animosity, Disciple, or Choke from their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan concert or Evolve from the 2023 MTV VMA performance next. But, honestly, you can't go wrong with ANY of their songs. Enjoy the ride!
The drummer is nominated for rock drummer of the year at the 2023 Drumeo Awards. Results on 25th. January.. cross the fingers🤞.. you're going to love these young ladies. They've become one of the best "live" bands around. It's "SIBLING MAGIC" at it finest.. "You have been Warned" 🤟🎶☮️
@@ansaedsanchez8071 The Estepario Siberiano is competing in the category for youtuber drummers. Pau is in the rock category one of the drummers she is competing against is the new drummer of the Foo Fighters a band that the Warning has opened for before. Cheers
Oh, I'm so happy you've found The Warning. I found them around the same time I found Ren, about 6-7 months ago. This band is another obsession of mine. They are SO GOOD. You have got to keep going with this band. Check out "Evolve" live at the VMA awards. It will blow your hair back. It's so good.
While this band is always better live, this is one of their songs that you should check out the music video of. The studio version is a collaboration with Canadian pop singer Alessia Cara. The other video is XXI Century Blood.
I found The Warning about a year ago. I am still blown away by their talent. Have fun exploring The Warning rabbit hole Redheadedneighbor. Love your reactions!
Loved your reactions to my favorite band. I discovered them a few years ago and I’ve been following them ever since. I probably haven’t missed a single day either listening to their music or watching others react to them in over three years. I subscribed and am looking forward to your continued reactions to The Warning. 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Be sure to watch the music video with Alessia Cara. There are nuances on the studio version not on the live in concert performance. And the music video is visually stunning, even though it is in black and white. Also, consider the Teatro Metroplitan full concert song by song.
You have been "Warned" and like the rest of us are now "ADDICTED" to these "Gorgeous and Super-Talented" Sisters!!! They are the best "True" Rock band to emerge in several decades! As you can tell by all of the comments you have already received, the love for these gals and the love they have for their fans likewise is simply amazing! I look forward to seeing more reactions from you as you experience more of their Music!!! Much love from West Virginia, USA! ❤❤❤
Dany(vocals/guitar) 14, Pau(drums/vocals), Ale(bass) 9 when they recorded the cover of Enter Sandman in 2014. The live version of Enter Sandman is the version they recorded for The Metallica Blacklist album. Metallica asked artists to rearrange the songs in whatever way they want keeping the original lyrics.
“The Warning” are a Mexican rock band formed in 2013 by the Villarreal Vélez sisters: Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. They are a great live band that has opened for Muse, Halestorm, Guns and Roses, and The Foo Fighters. They also worked with Alessia Cara to cover Enter Sandman for the Blacklist album. Any song from the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX 08/29/2022 concert would be a great next step; I love Animosity and for an acoustic try Revenant. Thank you.
@@redheadedneighbor Yes they do an acoustic version of revenant with a special guest guitarist. And in another song where Pau steps down from the drum kit to do a song they have another invited guest to do the drums.
Welcome to The Warning and their fan base The Warning Army (TWA). These young ladies are absolutely incredible. Best live band I've ever experienced and some of the nicest people I've ever met. They work very hard for their fans as well. Cool thing is that they have everything documented on their youtube site so you can experience the growth. There are also vlogs, documentaries, etc that help you get to know them better. Welcome to the rabbit hole. This entire Teatro Metropolitan concert is brilliant. Maybe try Disciple next, or checkout Evolve from the VMAs last year. TWA should be filing in with more info. Subscribed.
I do believe you have been Warned. How about trying some of their new stuff, like 'Evolve' and 'More' from the 2023 MTV VMAs? And then you might want to hear their concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene,_ a tale of unrequited love, obsession, stalking, murder, and then a girl's fight with her evil side for her soul.
Great 1st reaction to The Warning! The Villarreal-Velez sisters are amazing songwriters and performers from Mexico who live in Monterrey, San Pedro Garza Garcia, Nuevo Leon. Each one of their original songs is great. Their second album, "QUEEN OF THE MURDER SCENE", is a concept album. It follows a girl's journey into unrequited love; from infatuation and obsession on into stalking and murder, then madness and the fight over her soul. It is a masterpiece. It was nominated for Best Rock Album at the 2019 Independent Music Awards. Their 1st full-length LP, "XXI CENTURY BLOOD", is also very good and is packed with many great songs. The video for the title track, "XXI Century Blood", was nominated for and won many awards. Their very 1st released recordings are from their 6 song EP, "ESCAPE THE MIND"; and it is amazing. Despite being courted by numerous offers from many major record labels, The Warning have stayed independent through the years; relying on crowd funding to finance their projects. They refused to give up creative control over their material ... down to even the clothes they wear on stage. After 7 months of negotiations, The Warning signed a 5 album recording contract with Lava/Republic Records/Universal Music Group in the fall of 2020. They decided to release 1/2 (6 songs) of their completed 3rd full-length album in an EP called "MAYDAY" October 8th, 2021. The entire album was released June 24th, 2022: called "ERROR". "Disciple" is my favorite track! They are even better LIVE - ruclips.net/video/Wo0odllVq8g/видео.htmlsi=h1wzuqkzRK-b1uK6 They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet. The Warning do not come from a family of musicians, however, their parents are huge fans of classic rock. Both parents are professionals (recording engineer and dentist) and they enrolled their daughters into a private Catholic English Bilingual school Liceo de Monterrey, Mexico. They also started the girls with classical piano lessons at ages 6, 4 and 5 years old. Regular family functions included gathering around the TV with popcorn and watching LIVE concert dvds of legendary bands like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen and AC/DC. When their parents got them the video game Rock Band at ages 8, 6 and 3, they went nuts playing it obsessively. Shortly thereafter they got real instruments with lessons from professional teachers: and the rest is history. Amazing they are 23, 21 and 19 years old and have already written, arranged, and released #46 original songs (and recently finished recording their 4th studio album). They recently performed 2 songs at the MTV VMA's. I was fortunate enough to get to meet them after their show January 16th, 2020 at The Whisky a Go-Go in Hollywood, California. I had the opportunity to meet with them 3 more times during the 10 shows I attended on their 2022 North American MAYDAY Tour and 2023 ERROR WORLD TOUR. Aside from their music, they are just normal, sweet, intelligent, and fun-loving young ladies who are truely grateful and endearing to their fans. 🗣 Subscribed! 👊😃
In case no one has said yet, the band members are Dany (Dan-nee) guitar, Pau (POW! like the sound she makes) drums, and Ale (Ah-leh) bass. All three play piano (classically trained) and sing. At 19 (Ale just had a birthday), 21, and 23 they have been a band for 10 years. Ale had to miss part of 4th grade so they could make their first record. They have 3 albums, 49+ original songs, and all of them are good. They have no fluff songs. All have meaningful lyrics. Hopefully, their next album will be released soon. In addition to their music, they have videos where they talk about stuff, interviews, and 2 TED talks. The white Gibson Explorer Dany was playing was a gift from Lzzy Hale presented live on stage when they were opening for HaleStorm. More of The Warning Army (TWA, their fan base) will be showing up soon.
@@redheadedneighbor That little drummer is Dylan-esque in her metaphors and as dark as Roger Waters in her poetry. So every song of theirs should be anaysed lyrically because after a long time we have a band that is saying something substantial on a consistent basis.
Great reaction! These sisters are overwhelmingly talented!! They are the best power trio of XXI century! They opened for Foo Fighters, Muse, Guns and roses, Halestorm and more. Amazing! EPIC live performance! They did a superb job! Viva The Warning!! ⚡⚡⚡
I’ve lost count of how many reactors I’ve watched with the young sisters’ doing Enter Sandman, but your absolute joy at watching them made my face hurt. I’ve never had such a big smile last through an entire reaction video. I can sense the thrill of discovery in your reaction. I can promise you that it will just get better and better.
Great reaction, I’ve been wondering for a while if you would find them! I found them right from the start, when that first video you watched went viral! It’s been an absolute pleasure watching them grow and hone their skills 😂 I’ve seen them last year for the first time live on their tour with Muse when they took in the UK on their way to Europe. I’m going to see them again this year when they come back to the UK on their way to Europe headlining this time, also they’ve been invited to the Wacken open air festival (the biggest festival in Europe). If you’re interested in watching more from them, Disciple and Revenant from the same concert as Enter Sandman would give you more insight into their versatility and songwriting skills. Hope to hear and see more from you, subscribed 🌹
This century has given me so much joy. The young people are really talented in music. I grew up in the 40’s and 50’s, I played bass with several that went on to become well known. Music is ok for my future family.
Thanks for the reaction and welcome to The Warning! Your channel has crossed my path a few times from other artists, but if I would have known that you had never heard of TW, I would have told you!! I am sorry, they have been my favorite artists, not just band, since I first listened to them!!! Their Army(you’ll find out about us) is not only fanatical, but is growing faster than a snowball rolling downhill!!! Even though their music videos are always great, I always recommend their “live” performances, where they always shine!! 😊⚡️(liked and subscribed!)
I've run out of The Warning reaction videos. I can't wait to see yours. Wait until you see their original songs. You think your impressed with Paulina(the drummer) now... Always watch the live versions. They are a live band and live for it.
What a wonderful reaction. Welcome to The Warning. They are at their best live and this entire concert is incredible. Subbed to watch you discover more about them, especially what incredible, humble, loving people they are.
Yup, those are versions 1 & 3. Version 2 you’ll find in the music video & on Metallica’s Blacklist album (& version 2a a live w/Alessia performance) version 4 is with a strings accompaniment they did this year in Monterrey & Mexico City. They composed, recorded & mixed their version in a week …and created a masterpiece. As all their work is. Just wait until you get to the Queen of the Murder Scene album. Masterpiece concept album. Written by kids. I recommend Lunario for a seamless immersion but many of the songs are also played at Metropolitan.
I must compose myself after watching your reaction to The Warning! Pure joy these sisters are! Pure Joy! This is just the beginning, many happy times ahead. Liked and subscribed Long Live DPA, The Warning 🤟⚡️🫶
Thanks Red to the very deep and exquisite Rabbit Hole of the very Best Rock Band in many decades....these 3 sisters are Talent Overload and there is 20 more songs from this EPIC concert to view....everyone is freaking great and all originals from the Ladies. This is the only cover song from this concert and it sets a new standard for "Enter Sandman" in my opinion. I would start at the beginning with "Z" and just follow the set list. Ummm, brace for impact. From this magnetic band and from TWA. There’s a reason we’re all here and you’re about to understand it. Enjoy and I’m here for you, Neighbor!
Red-headed neighbor, I never liked hard Rock when I was younger but was introduced to the warning a couple of years ago in my late '60s. It took me a while to warm up to them even though they were very talented. For a while, the main ingredient missing was knowing them as people not just performers! There is a video online from 2017 when the warning was invited to speak and perform at the TEDx talks in the University of Nevada. They talk about their background and values and perform three songs from their first album. I found it so inspirational getting to know who they were, and how impressive they were, that I started diving into their music catalogue. I still am not a huge fan of this genre of music but I am a huge fan of them and thus I love their music! For me that's how important the personal bond is with the artist. I would highly recommend reacting to the TEDx talks video from 2017. Peace and love.

Well, that was a fun reaction! Great to see you so enthralled by what you were witnessing. I highly recommend that you continue with the live performances - they are so energetic and charismatic (in addition to talented) that on-stage really adds to the experience. Try either "More" (a bit more funky) or "Evolve" (hard rock) from the MTV VMAs just a few months back. Or try "Disciple" from the same Teatro Metropolitan concert you just watched - there Dany (lead singer) and Pau (drummer) take turns singing lead.
Every time I see a new reactor listen to TW for the first time, I remember when I heard them for the first time.... and I get a small drop in my eye. The early Enter Sandman was first but then Exterminated that still is still on top 5 for me with Animosity, 23, Survive (just because of), Copper Bullet, Stalker, Sinister Smile, Error, QOTMS, RHNF, Hunter, Revenant, The End, Evolve, Disciple, XXICB, D2D, P.S.Y., Dull Knives, Z, Narcisista, Unmendable, When I'm Alone, Show Me the Light, Martirio, Black Holes... are we already beyond 5 songs?...It is what it is, the best TW song is the last one you listened to. BTW QOTMS, their second album is a concept album best to listen to in order.from start to end ... Lunario CDMX live show Nov 27 2018. You're welcome
XXI Century Blood was my first after watching a Lzzy Hale interview then this one, then everything else, I plain have gotten a little stupid with the addiction. Even better once here new young rock starts popping from all over the world. There is so much unrecognized talent out there.
@@redheadedneighbor Just FYI: "QOTMS" is "Queen of the Murder Scene". We get used to speaking/typing in acronyms too easily. Not just in The Warning Army, but kind of everywhere. Just a figment of on-line culture; it's easy to keyboard out a quick acronym and forget that the person reading it may not know what it means... 🤪
*a little history:* many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany on guitar, Pau on drums [like "POW!"], and Ale on bass [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters... in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they were 14 (Dany), 12 (Pau), and 9 (Ale) years old at the time the video was uploaded to YT because it was too big to email to their grandparents and other family members... they went on vacation for a couple of weeks and came back to a viral video with their father's phone blowing up from all the notifications coming in... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music... in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else... DPA/TW teamed up with Alessia Cara, a Canadian Pop and R&B artist, to reimagine *Enter Sandman* as a more haunting, eerie, and dark lullaby than the metal original... they did this in 10 days, during Covid, with Alessia working from remote in Canada... today, Nov 2023, there are four renditions of *Enter Sandman* done by DPA/TW... the original true cover that went viral, the OMV of the reimagined with Alessia, DPA/TW playing it live in concert, and the latest one with an added 10-piece string section accompanying in concert... all of the concert renditions somehow come out even darker and more foreboding, bringing almost constant chills to some fans when they hear or experience it... DPA/TW started with music at a very young age... like 3 and 5 for Pau (drums) and Dany (guitar)... Ale (bass) was still pretty much a newborn... they started with piano and classical music... Ale also started on piano when she was old enough... as a family, they used to watch concerts on TV together... music has always been a part of their lives and they are influenced by many bands from years past... then came the game, Rock Band, which Dany and Pau played all the time with Ale watching and clapping along... Pau gravitated to the drums and Dany the guitar... Ale chose the bass even though she didn't know what it was at first... the bass was Ale's second choice for an instrument... originally she wanted to play the harp... they couldn't find anyone to teach her harp, though, so the bass it is, to everyone's delight! her original 4-string bass was a 1/2 size bass which was quite big for her... later she went to a 3/4 size 4-string bass... not long after Ale started playing the bass, the girls realized they had all they needed to form a band... today, Ale has several bass guitars but she mostly plays her "Ale's Inferno" colored Spector NS-XL 5-string... she has been a Spector Featured Artist since she was 15 years old... her NS-XL bass has a 35" neck on it.. Ale worked with the Spector team to create the coloring of the bass and they named "Ale's Inferno"... Ale has also recently acquired a blue Spector bass that she played in most of their 2023 concerts... Pau is a powerful force behind her drums... in her younger days, she was likened to "Animal", the drummer on The Muppets... she put her entire body into every stroke... it was quite joyful watching her in action... she has refined her form in recent times but she still has a powerful swing and a much stronger sound... some like to say that "she beats her drums like they owe her money!" LOL since she has refined her form, she also doesn't break as many sticks as she used to... when she did break one, she seamlessly replaced it without losing a beat and many times no one ever even noticed... pure professionalism, there... in one of their interviews, Pau comments about having been playing the drums for 13 years... that was two years ago so she has 15 years under her belt, now... Pau also takes lead vocals on several songs while she is playing her drums as passionately as she does... there are not very many singing drummers in the world, today... she does aerobic exercises and running while singing to keep up her stamina and breath control... she's been singing while playing the drums since her early years... you can find videos of Pau doing drum covers when she is like 8 or 9 years old... Dany is a goofball and total guitar nerd... she has numerous guitars in her arsenal... PRS, Rick Toon Spearfish, Manson, Gibson Explorer (gift from Lzzy Hale of Halestorm), and more recently, a mustard yellow Manson was given to her by Matt Bellamy of Muse, one of the band's bigger influences... DPA/TW have covered several of Muse's songs and more recently they have opened for Muse in Mexico and the UK numerous times... hearing Dany make her Mansons sing is quite the treat... especially when seeing them live... Dany is also the main lead singer for the group... she has quite a range (one vocal coach says Dany can hit D5) and can growl or put gravel in her tone when needed... she easily expresses emotions with her voice and her facial expressions drive it all home while she is singing... Ale and Dany both use Orange Amps to drive their sound... the three of them, together, create a huge wall of sound that flat out pummels you when you see them live... today the girls are 23 (Dany - Jan 30 2000), 21 (Pau - Feb 5 2002), and 19 (Ale - Dec 13 2004)... they have just released the full concert they did at the Teatro Metropolitan (Metropolitan Theater) in CDMX (Mexico City) back in Aug 2022... Mexico City (2240m, 7350ft) is higher in altitude than Denver, Colorado (1609m, 5280ft)! certainly higher than their home town of Monterrey, Mexico (540m, 1770ft)... this is mentioned because of the altitude and thin air... when doing strenuous activities, you need more air... you can find their recent Aug 2022 concert on DPA/TW's YT Videos page as individual videos of the songs or as one video of the entire concert with opening and closing BTS (behind the scenes) added... they may also have a playlist of the individuals so they can be viewed in proper setlist order... the Metropolitan Theater (Teatro Metropolitan) in Mexico City (CDMX) holds like 3500 and sold out both nights they played (Aug 26th and 29th)... some huge milestones took place at the 2023 MTV VMAs... 1) The Warning were invited to play two of their songs on the Extended Stage... 2) they were the only ones to play that were not nominated for anything... 3) they are the first Mexican band to perform at the MTV VMAs... those are all quite the achievements! for the VMAs performance, there were four takes shot... two 45 second ones for broadcast and two full length ones for each of their songs, *MORE* and *Evolve* which MTV has posted to their YT channel... they were also the only ones playing on the Extended Stage to be announced on the Main Stage when their songs were played! DPA/TW have a working relationship with Pepsi in Mexico and have shot several commercials for them... this relationship plus being signed with Lava helped greatly with this milestone in their career, i'm sure... additionally, this summer (of 2023), they were the first Mexican band to play "Rock am Ring" and "Rock im Park" in Germany in 20 years... they have also been invited to play at the 2024 Wacken Open Air metal festival which is also held in Germany... currently they are completing their fourth album and have just finished their "Error" World Tour which has taken them all over the Americas, the UK, and Europe... i still can't believe it has been 10 years! it seems like only yesterday i was watching a very young Pau beating her drums into submission and then seeing videos of all three of them playing together as they started their journey... the rabbit hole is deep and quite enjoyable! come on in, there's plenty of room for more! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
You are curious about the music video for The Warning’s cover of Enter Sandman. One of the nicest chapters in their journey. Done during the pandemic where they did it with Canadian singer Alessia Cara. Long distance and separately because of Covid. They were tasked by Metallica to turn the song upside down, backwards, make it their own. The Warning rearranged and reworked Enter Sandman in 10 days. Alessia and The Warning did their parts in the video separately, resulting in a beautiful and haunting black and white work of art. Once the restrictions were over The Warning and Alessia did perform live together. When they perform it live now it is only with prerecorded background track of Alessia, but Dany still acknowledges Alessia as they introduce Enter Sandman.
This is a great way to get yourself into The Warning. Their growth, biologically & cerebrally, is mindboggling. The sheer musical virtuosity displayed in taking an iconic song, turn it inside out & then pay homage to Metallica with that iconic riff at the the end is astounding. Many bands, including some famous ones like Motorhead & Tool, had covered Enter Sandman over the past few decades. No one had the creativity to think outside the box & the conviction to pull it off. This is Clapton paying homage to Dylan with his reimagination of Knocking on Heaven's Door in Backless album. When James Hetfield penned Enter Sandman almost 3 decades back, little could he have imagined the it would have on the career of 3 sisters from Mexico. With their version of Enter Sandman, Dany, Pau & Ale completed what James set out to do - make it a dark lullaby.
That little bass player with the golden sandals is playing a half-scale bass that still looks huge on her. She and the drummer are a freight train live. The guitar solo includes a wah-wah pedal, which is a somewhat tricky thing to use. They re-wrote the instrumental parts for the TM video.
You are just so amaing I love that tough of metal in your country soul love it !!! You my dear are like a box of chocolats but much much sweeter🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫🍫 This is so cool 💗💗 #redheadedneighbor
A really good introduction to them is: The Warning X Anniversary ruclips.net/video/7wVGo42H40g/видео.html This is a short synopsis from the ladies on their 10th anniversary as a band. They showed it when they were ending their ERROR World Tour in December when they were back in Mexico.
The Warning is an amazing band! The 2022 version was a collaboration between them and Alesia Cara for Metallica’s Blacklist album. This is how it turns out when they play it without Alesia Cara-her receded voice is in some of the backing voclas.
Red, I'm so glad that you have discovered my favorite rock band. I'm a 74 year old rock musician and these young women kick ass for real. Enjoy exploring their music! ❤
Great reaction, Red! These young ladies are still playing amazing rock today and they are kicking butt big time. Oops, made the above comment before you played the 2nd song.
🤯I can’t wait to see more!
@@redheadedneighbor I strongly recommend their live performance of *Disciple* at *Teatro Metropolitan* ( _Metropolitan Theatre_ ) where the drummer and guitarist share the lead singing.
Amen
Stand by fot The Warning Army to invad your channel. 🤘😎⚠️
👀
The other great experience would be the Lunario CDMX concert from 2018 where they debut their second album (a concept album!)
Songs from the Lunario are best played in order because of the storyline.
I always love bassists...they seem like the calm ones in most groups. lol
I always enjoy a genuine reaction to the best band I have heard in decades. You have heard nothing yet. Welcome to what is possible your new addiction. There is a deep and varied rabbit hole to follow. The Warnings entire progression is on RUclips.
Can't wait!
Their most legendary concerts with professionaly shot video are:
- Liceo de Monterrey 2015
- TEDx at University of Nevada Reno 2016 & 2017
- Dakota Bar 2018
- Lunario 2018
- Foro Didi 2019
- Whisky a Go Go 2019 & 2020
- Quarantine Concert 2020
- Teatro Metropolitan CDMX (4K and HD audio) 2022
- UK private show (acoustic and electric, now public) 2023
When not performing they are humble down to earth individuals.
“You have been warned!”
LONG LIVE THE VILLARREAL SISTERS!
Love this!!
This is on Metallicas blacklist album ..The warning”..is phenomenal..🤘🤘
Love. It.
Thank you! It’s appreciated!
I love it!
Love the warning your reaction was priceless ❤
Thank you!! 😁
Hello! Thank you so much!
That was a lot of fun! Girls have been doing just a little bit of rehearsal. That drummer has the rock attitude..
Hell of a way to get introduced to The Warning... Enjoy the rabbit hole!
That is so amazing
You got a rabbit hole as deep as Ren's right here. They're working on their fourth album right now, and have been releasing albums and uploading full concerts to their channel since the earliest days. They're master songwriters and performers. Check out anything from this Teatro Metro show, it's all fire.
But Disciple, Animosity, and Kool Aid Kids are personal favourites. As are Dust To Dust, 23, and Revenant, all sung by Pau (POW!) the drummer.
These girls are very special.
They sure are
These sisters from Mexico are so talented and at such young age they already have 3 full albums worth of great music. 🇲🇽⚡🤘
Thank you!
There’s also the XXI Century Blood video from 2017 when they were independent.
Best rock band on the planet.
The bassist really grew into her bass. Very cool. Loved it. First time hearing them. Thanks
She sure did! Lol

Here she is expounding on her gear in August 2023

In the first one, Ale was dwarfed by the short scale Fender Mustang. Now, that 38" full-sized Custom Spector fits her like a glove.

The Warning... the Best ❤❤❤⚡⚡⚡
Acoustic as well?

They are even better LIVE -

They have recently finished recording their 4th studio album: no name or release date yet.

I love lyrics!
@@redheadedneighbor That little drummer is Dylan-esque in her metaphors and as dark as Roger Waters in her poetry. So every song of theirs should be anaysed lyrically because after a long time we have a band that is saying something substantial on a consistent basis.

welcome to The Warning, greetings from Colombia
Welcome to your new addiction you have been Warned 🤘 😎 ⚠️
Ohhhh, I’m excited!
So excited
These girls have now done like 5 versions of ES. Last Oct they did 3 shows with a string section of a symphony backing them.
🤯
Great reaction, I’ve been wondering for a while if you would find them! I found them right from the start, when that first video you watched went viral! It’s been an absolute pleasure watching them grow and hone their skills 😂
I’ve seen them last year for the first time live on their tour with Muse when they took in the UK on their way to Europe.
They are so impressive! I love that you saw them!
This century has given me so much joy. The young people are really talented in music. I grew up in the 40’s and 50’s, I played bass with several that went on to become well known. Music is ok for my future family.
I am so thankful for music!
Live is the best!
Have you seen the Victorycast reactions?

Only took one watch of Evolve...
What a wonderful reaction. Welcome to The Warning. They are at their best live and this entire concert is incredible. Subbed to watch you discover more about them, especially what incredible, humble, loving people they are.
Thank you!
Anything from the Teatro Metropolitan concert is great.
This was fun watching you get WARNED!! You better put on some work boots if you’re going down this rabbit hole. They’re going to blow your mind.
One of the most important bands out there.
The second one was made for Metallica's blacklist album they did exactly what Metallica wanted completely change the song just keep the lyrics intact.
Best band on the planet right now.
You should do a reaction video for the whole Teatro Metropolitan show.
Great reaction.
So much to look forward to
I must compose myself after watching your reaction to The Warning! Pure joy these sisters are! Pure Joy! This is just the beginning, many happy times ahead. Liked and subscribed
Long Live DPA, The Warning

They are BOSS
Thanks Red to the very deep and exquisite Rabbit Hole of the very Best Rock Band in many decades....these 3 sisters are Talent Overload and there is 20 more songs from this EPIC concert to view....everyone is freaking great and all originals from the Ladies. This is the only cover song from this concert and it sets a new standard for "Enter Sandman" in my opinion. I would start at the beginning with "Z" and just follow the set list. The Ladies have uploaded this entire concert to their YT channel for all to enjoy. Cheers...Rock On The Warning!!! ⚡⚡⚡⚡🤘🤘
This is gonna be fun!
@redheadedneighbor Oh Yeah

Welcome to the Warning Army!
loved it and need MORE live from vmas . i have been enjoying this rock band since 2017 and loving it.
Ummm, brace for impact. From this magnetic band and from TWA. There’s a reason we’re all here and you’re about to understand it. Enjoy and I’m here for you, Neighbor!
She's blown away!
Indeed!
Thank you for the reaction. Subbed for more of The Warning. TWA
Thank you! Appreciate that!
I have had such a similar experience! I’m late to the game.
Trifecta needed now do the official video followed by the live. To get the true progression.
I do need to see more!

The Warning Army is coming for you. lol. This band is a great hard rock band. Seen them live a few times. Will see again.
👍👍👍These 3 ladies rule rock!!! 🖖❤
I'm kinda new to The Warning, only known about them for about 10 years!
Lucky you. What an exhilarating journey it has been for you for the past decade or so!!!
Lol
The Holy Trinity of Rock ❤❤❤
Keep in mind this is YEARS of hard work. But as you can see it pays off. 😊
Sure did!
Nice reaction. Give thier songs More and evolve both from this years MTV VMAS.
🤯🤯🤯
*a little history:*
many of us (shout out to TWA aka The Warning Army!) have been following DPA/TW (Dany on guitar, Pau on drums [like "POW!"], and Ale on bass [like "Ah leh"] aka "The Warning"), three sisters from Monterrey Mexico, since or before their first videos as a band started to hit the streams back in 2012... they are, to many of us, like daughters, nieces, or grand-daughters...
in 2014 a video of them doing a cover of Metallica's *Enter Sandman* from the "Black" album went viral... they were 14 (Dany), 12 (Pau), and 9 (Ale) years old at the time the video was uploaded to YT because it was too big to email to their grandparents and other family members... they went on vacation for a couple of weeks and came back to a viral video with their father's phone blowing up from all the notifications coming in... they did a few other covers but were also writing their own music, as well... they decided pretty early to not become known as a cover band... so they started releasing their own music...
in 2021, DPA/TW answered a call from Metallica to take a song, any song, from the "Black" album, twist it around, upside down, and backward... keep the lyrics but make it something else...
TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Thanks for doing both versions, so good to see/hear them side by side. Great reaction Red~ Algorithm :)
Thank you
You are curious about the music video for The Warning’s cover of Enter Sandman.

Great reaction. Perhaps The Warning's greatest talent is songwriting. Check out some of their original music from the same live show.
That little bass player with the golden sandals is playing a half-scale bass that still looks huge on her. She and the drummer are a freight train live. The guitar solo includes a wah-wah pedal, which is a somewhat tricky thing to use. They re-wrote the instrumental parts for the TM video.

This is a short synopsis from the ladies on their 10th anniversary as a band. They showed it when they were ending their ERROR World Tour in December when they were back in Mexico.
By the way, prepare to be invaded by The Warning Army. This group has a ferocious fan base, and they will find you.
Ferocious or just formidable?
