One day I’d love to have someone explain to me why anyone would give a 👎🏼 to a video like this... idk it just annoys me!! I think these types of informational videos are great!!
Good morning 🌅 Blue 💙 Ridge and my Coin Collecting loving family Gm. Hey Shawn look I was just looking at this 2000 Quarter from New Hampshire and the reverse side really got to me. It said LIVE- FREE- OR- DIE and then it said OLD MAN OF THE MOUNTAIN and the State's date is 1788 and I just got a 1988 Quarter and this one as well the same day from my favorite gas station ⛽ those words really got to my Heart ❤️. This is the only 2000 Quarter that I WILL KEEP. LOVE Y'ALL FAMILY 💞.
Dude, you're friggin brilliant! Love the education you bring to the masses, and that you are passionate about your numismatic studies...please continue the help, I for one save and listen to almost all your lessons...teach on brother!
Thank you Shaun, this is a very special year that i collect in coins .My son Sean was born that year and he is part of my love for coins and has always believed in me and helped me continue my hobby.Definetly hard coin to find in mint states with few issues.
Have a 1998 D Quarter. It's still very shiny with very crisp details. There are a few minor nicks. What stumps me is whether or not my coin was part of a bank roll or a mint set. New to the hobby so I'm scratching my head on this one. My gut says to keep it. I also have a like new 1994 D Nickel with full steps.
I have a 1998 that you can see with the naked eye it has been minted over and or over minted by another coin. This can be seen on the right side of the head and on the forehead and cheek bone also on reverse. Lynn Loring
Thank you for all the information. I have a 1998 P with a polished P next to the top of the seconds bow in his pony tail. About a 1/4" above that. Looks like a ghost D mint mark. Along the upper edge along LIBERTY, there are spots.that look like morris code. Next to the #8. With the light shining from the south. You can see a ghost "1". With the light cing from the east south east of the coin. There looks like a ghost "P".
I have a 1998 D quarter that has a few different defects that you don't talk about in your videos and I'm wondering if you can take a look at it and see if it's something collector's would pay a bit for or not
I’m glad I found this channel, long story short. My mom use to collect coins when she was younger, she is 69, turning 70 and she has had her coins forever and she wants to see what she has. So I’m planning to get 10-20x loupe... her collection consists of buffalo pennies, dimes, half dollars, silver dollars, nickels, quarters, world coins currency from 40’s, 50’s,60’s... her younger brother use to take her collection and buy ice cream & candies for him and his friends when they were kids but she still has a pretty big amount of coins. What type of books can we use to see what she has? Cherry pickers guide or and red book of both? Thank you for any and all assistance happy new year everyone.
What books or information have you found out to look through your moms coins? Did you find anything? My grandfather left me a bunch of silver dollars half dollars quarters dimes ect from late 1800's till the last yr 1964 of silver coins and I'm trying to do the same look through them to see if there's any of value besides value in silver. Cheers
Great Video right to the very END. Awesome insight to the coolest Quarter ever minted. We have a lot of nice coins minted here in Canada, including the colourized versions, but nothing says cool like the US Washington Quarter. My favourite is the Bi-Centennial coin.
I like watching your videos this is an older one though your information is always very help there is a variety though on the Philadelphia I'm getting ready to mail one off hopefully you will see it soon
I found an off metal error that affects the n in United And the tiny leg in the q on that same side. It does not appear to be a doubling, rather a transition or fill error. It’s the 1998p Washington quarter.
Just saw the video of 1998 Quarter by BLUE RIDGE SILVER HOUND. My friend gave me his pocket change ( not like that HA HA - I paid for it ) .There was the 1998 P QUARTER and all I can say IS MY QUARTER HAS MORE HAIR THAN THE 1998D AND IS A NICE QUALITY..GLAD I LEARNED ABOUT THE GRADE MARK FOR THE 1998P QUARTER BECAUSE SHAUN EXPLAINS WHY THAT P QUARTER WILL HAVE A HIGHER GRADE..WANNA KNOW WHY? WATCH THE VIDEO ! THANKS !
Hey bud...i didnt know 1998 quarters especially from the Denver mint have NO double dies...WHAT?!?!? Dude I just found a 1998 D quarter that is DOUBLED!!!
What do you suppose a 1998 D quarter would fetch that shows a die issue leaving a ring of raised metal under the liberty and above the date. It encompasses the coin around the portrait, and can be felt with a fingernail, also visible ring around the coin
I have a 1998 p with extreme what looks like mint error on both sides of the coin the more I look at it the harder it looks that something other than a mint error could cause the things on this coin it's really bizarre either way I'm new to coins. I inherited a ton of silver coins dating from late 1800's up to 1964 crossing my fingers I find a rare 1965 silver coin. I'm slowly learning as I look through this huge collection that hasn't seen daylight in at least 40 yrs I know of and there's no telling how long ago my grandfather acquired them and if they'd ever been looked through for errors before he put them all away in his safe.
I have a 1998 P with some really strange looking errors and a weird texture to it...can you look at it for me??? I also have a few more I need help with
I have a 1998 P wiith a really nice double die "in god we trust" error...is there really no error varieties? Did i hear that wrong? I find it unimaginable that a mintage of 516 million or whatever it was that there are no known error varieties...
I for one person, I don't think that our government should have any thing to keep messing with the money, especially a quarters, they don't even have but thousands for pay!.
DEAR SHAUN. THANK YOU FOR SHARING AND COMPARING THE MINT QUALITY DIFFERENCES! LOVED THAT! THAT'S SOMETHING I WOULD PERSONALLY LIKE TO SEE MORE OFTEN! AS USUAL...LOVE YA FOR LEARNING US ENTHUSIASTS AND THANK YOU FOR KEEPING UP THE EXCELLENT KNOWLEDGE I AM GAINING FROM YOU ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I have a 1998 p quarter and it has lines on my numbers and on my back side on top of letters and on the bottom on the Dollar my o has a split like you could put the o together so you could colse it, and then I have a1994 D on the numbers they have lines and on liberty they have lines all the way threw the word liberty and the back side on top and bottom almost all the lettering has lines, what does that mean.

They were watching the video while hanging upside down...
