In USA it’s called Infiniti Q50 Red Sport 400. It came out in 2014 with 3.7 liter engine and updated in 2016 with 3.0tt engine. They did like mild face lift in 2018.

I once owned a 1989 R31 Nissan Skyline Silhouette GTS in red exterior with the white wheels, only 200 made, I still regret selling it, the engine was an absolute masterpiece, no issues or leaks.

It's a Q50, it never sold very well in Australia when it was here. I received a massive discount when I purchased my Q50 4 years ago. Australian motoring journalists were not impressed with this car back then, can't for the life of me fathom why. I think it is awesome just needs needs a LSD.
The Q50 is a rebadged V37 Skyline. This is just a special edition of the original. As far as it looking Infiniti, that's just modern Nissan. This general shape is what many modern sedans look like from Nissan; the Fuga, Altima, Teana, Maxima, and Cima to name a few.

I don’t get all the hate. It is a bit dated but it still seems rapid. The car was taking off fast with a great sound and fast upshifts for a normal automatic.
We had the Red Sports, but the model is getting old, and Infiniti has left Australia (again). The only way you'll get one is as a grey import, in a few years.

I was just at the Nissan HQ in Yokohama they had a new 400R of the same car. There was a Nismo electric SUV not sure how that works and the new Z Nismo looks sweet as.
I just bought a 2007 PV36 G35S for cheap and its great value for money these days.. A bit inexcusable that 17 years later the interior of the new car hardly looks any different. Nissan/Infiniti have taken the 'if it aint broken why fix it" to a whole new level.

Paul if you are still in Japan, try to get you hands on a Toyota Century. These are Japanese only cars, but worth seeking out. If you can picture if a Cullinan was made in Japan, thats what it would look like, complete with high tech Japanese spec interior.
That exterior is phenomenal but that interior is at this point, 10 years old now….. classic Nissan 😆 but that 3.0L V6 is a ballsy engine that is the best part. Kinda wish that it didn’t use this old 7-speed automatic but it is a proven transmission.
This is a Q50 Infinity body. They just get an Infinity and put on a Nissan badge. They don't even do a facelift on it. That really shows they really lack of funding.

The V36 debuts 2006, and gets sent over as an Infiniti in 2007. For some reason, the USDM V37 Skyline came to North America in 2013, but went for sale only a few months later in Japan and Australia in 2014. This car is a Skyline, which itself has been around from 1957. So again, this is a Skyline, and not an "Infiniti" first and foremost. Does this make sense?
Reminds me of Ford with the XR6 Turbos. Great performance, looks great on the outside, and then looks 20 years outdated on the inside. And I think that was one of the biggest mistakes for Ford Australia.
The Q50, the 350GT, the SKYLINE 350GT... its all the same car. this however is a 300kw (~400BHP) version of said car. The 350GT also came in a 370GT version with more pep, and then there's a 2.0L turbo model and a 350GT Hybrid, the best of both worlds, fast powerful and cheap to run as a daily. The Nismo special ed would wipe the floor with the others, (STOCK). It's pretty lame we won't get the Nismo ones here. We have 350GT's with Nismo body kits and such around but the tune and the updated panels are nice. Like everyone said, the 2014 interior is kinda sadly left in the past. Drive a R34 today and the interior looks like a 95 Primera with some Gran Turismo screens in it. Nissan do engines and exteriors and leave the nice interiors to the Euro cars.

7 speed is perfect. 6 speed is the best but so it doesnt feel as jerky 1 more speed keeps you smooth and ready to rev.

We have a handful of these with left hand drive without the Nismo badging in USA and Canada.
Basically 40k for Nismo badging; a brand new Q50 RS is 60-62k.
