Degrease, Wire wheel the welds, Then clear coat. It looks awesome in raw steel, You just need to stop it going brown and flaky. :)
You are the harder on yourself than you should be. Fact is that more than 90% of people who watch your videos absolute love most of your projects. The problem is that people who dislike them are louder than us. Your tires are fine as putting on bigger ones will introduce more gearing issues not to mention adding more unsprung weight.
Yeah, I did want to see you take it closer to redline but you are still doing shake-down runs and it would be smart to take it easy until you iron out all the issues (like batteries dragging on the ground😉). This is your show and you direct it how you see fit. I and many of trust that you know what you are doing and will keep us entertained.
Thanks for the documentation on many awesome builds and I hope to see more of them.
Agreed 👍👍👍👍👍
I agree
Dude this thing is awsome I've followed the whole build and the fact that most all your parts like brake rotors and cv shaft is all hand made and machined by you is just awsome there aren't many people learning the trade of machining and fabrication
Just a suggestion, but you should install seat belts before you go off roading. Are you planning on putting sheet metal sides and firewall on? Bigger tires is only going to make your gear ratio even worse.
Joe W It sounded to me like he wanted more speed with his current gears. Meaning it’s geared too low. Bigger tires would actually increase top speed.
I completely agree. Basic rule of thumb for me is
Roll cage = seatbelt
No roll cage = no seatbelt.
In this case he has a roll cage so he ought to put a seatbelt on that thing.
I think that thing turned out pretty sweet. It really shows how wide it is on the road. As for everyone that has to say what's wrong with, please post videos of the buggies you build that should obviously be far superior... I think you built something to be proud of. Keep up the good work
The tires are fine. People saying it needs bigger tires are just thinking about looks. Bigger tires will be heavier, Slower with more strain on the engine and entire drive line.
I actually think it looks nice like it is, the tires aren't comically sized and look very proper for the size of the buggy.
Wth??? The tires are fine!
Not necessarily. There's options out there to mitigate the unsprung weight. Besides, we don't even know if heavier tires will be an issue.
Too big just looks dumb and breaks things easier
Moto_919 bigger tires might be heavier depending on the tire but it being slower is not true it would be faster smaller tires would make it slower with more acceleration regardless that street bike clutch is going to go before any real strain hurts that engine I guarantee the first time he romps on it hard that chain tensioner is going break or the clutch slips from him making it so damn heavy
You've always got an earbud in, what are you always listening to? Like if you're curious too lol
2pac
Probably just uses them as earplugs like I do.
Maybe for the mic?
Milly Vanilly
Little River band
Wow, look at this badass cart you've designed and built from scratch! So impressed watching this series. Traditionally a sequential shifter is back for up a gear and forward to go down a gear. When you're racing, you'll see that the weight of your arm under acceleration/deceleration favors that geometry. Keep up the good work and be safe.
Also, wear a helmet man.. Hate to lose such a great mind as yours😎
Should put signals, windshield, wipers and a few other things and register this thing as a kit car.
Nicolas Hoyt which windshield
I have a similar buggie. When I first got it ready to test drive i was convinced it need bigger tires. But, i decided to wait. Had it for years now, off road almost weekly. Glad I didn't get bigger tires. Tire size can dramatically change handling, especially if you don't have power steering. Most people run larger tires for form not function. If your building this to have fun the most important thing is confident handling. Don't go bigger unless it is actually better.
Wire loom , shoulder harness, helmet, alignment. And that thing would be awesome. Your skills have come a long way in a fairly short time man . Nice build .
Your getting better with each build, i think a little more pre planning would help but for the tools you have and limited shop you are showing some real talent. I enjoy watching your vids and think you can be a real star in the offroad buggy Fabrication world.
You should try to get it street legal... thatd be the coolest thing
Yeah Figer out what it needs to be Street legal. and Give it a shot. it would be like one of the Custon street legal Dunbuggys.
@Juha Tuomala the only real time consuming thing would be getting a VIN and possibly expensive... but thats only time consuming and because mass. is a fucking bitch with a lot of fun things... his state may be way different.
If it makes it street legal.. He would need to up the gearing...
It's way too low as it is.
@@calholli that too...
Could you use the bike vin that the engine came out of and register it as a motorcycle?
They people in your neighborhood are seeing you do your road Tests and they must be thinking this guy's buggies are getting bigger and bigger, when are gonna do a V8 4x4 rock bouncer?
Was thinking the exact same thing!
Gun metal grey with black accents.
May want to look at taller tires in the future and maybe a jackshaft to help with gear reduction more. This thing is cool though. People on mini buggy forums love the buggy builds Chris.
what the.. just said the same colours,, before I saw yours
I remember when you did the self propelled mower with a seat and steering modification; now look at ya. Awesome evolution!
Definitely needs to be painted black! Love the build!
You're doing GREAT kid!
You've really come a long way since you started and I personally like your builds better than some other channels who shall remain nameless... I think your next machine is going to be on point. Your biggest hurdle atm is transmission. So long as you consider the trans prior to starting the next build all these gearing issues should not be a problem, the rest is falling into place for you.
How about installing a quick shifter to it. Full throttle, no clutch upshifting is awesome!
@@Ameritude It IS a sequential shifter
Yea but @Niklas is talking about speed shifting with no clutch and without letting out of the throttle
CLEAR COAT!!! I really like the way that the king shocks stand out against the metal
Great job you're finally finished the dune buggy can wait to see the next project ! 🏍🛴
Thanks
Your carts and buggy's have gotten bigger and better over the years, and more high-tech and bad a#$, your fab skills have went through the roof at the same time, A Big CONGRATULATIONS to you on your success and accomplishments, Thank Again for the great content Joey From Statesville NC
its funny, you build a badass cart, and all the haters are like "why isn't this a trophy truck?"
Your an amazing young man. With so many kids your age stuffing their head box with the internet it’s nice to see you building something. The kid that works for me doesn’t even know what a pair of pliers looks like. Sad but true. I asked him to grab the pliers and he came back with the crescent wrench.
It's looking really good. But please DON'T paint it in weird colours. Black/grey/white/camo green or something would look great.
Awesome! Great job on that. I would absolutely clear coat it. It looks really cool the regular color, but also you don't have to worry about paint peeling off or getting scratched up. Keep up the good work!
White with blue accents to match the shocks :)
Well done mate. Maybe jets for fuel, and pods for the carbs it would be trying to breath threw a straw. Custom exhaust manifold like tuned length. Use premium fuel around 98 octane to get the most of the engine. Well done mate love your videos. Paint it colour flip, so when you look at in different angles it's a different colour, very hard but very cool.
not on fire, is exactly how i like my engines too :)
He BROKE the needle off!! Good work my friend!
Part 15 should also include centering your steering wheel so it's straight.... that is bugging the shit out of me lol
brandon dias Same!!!
Glad i wasnt the only one
Upgrade to a slightly bigger stronger steering wheel too. This ain't no go cart.
Matt definitely! It looks out of place. Too small.
I love these video's and how your thought process works...............Great work
There is nothing wrong with the gearing you just need to put the engine into its power band. I never saw you get even close to the red line of this engine, thats where its power and your speed will be. Also the transmission in the engine is a constant mesh design, no need to clutch with every shift, just let up a bit on the throttle and grab the next gear.
sweet build dont change the rear tires she should be golden, good combination of power and torque, and it looks like shes got plenty of power to spare, cant wait to see some trail vids brother
Hi, I'm Brazilian, and I love to see your videos, great project you're doing, it's a pity that here, in the place where I live, I can not walk with these homemade projects. I always dreamed of making one of those toys. Please send a hug to us !!
black and purple that buggy looks real nice good proyect!!
Why roof is soo tall?? other than that, great project!
Appeared to be fast to me. Amazing...AMAZING JOB! LOOKS FANTASTIC!
How many cameras do you use In a video like this?
Nate Knows 3
@@6ssam996 what about the ones on the ground. As he passes them? Or does he set up the same cams along the way
@@10mm_garage he sets a camera down then drives by it, then parks to go pick it up
@@10mm_garage yeah hé isn't leaving Them😂
Or drives OVER it! :)
It looks awesome and seems to perform well.. it's a sweet build that's forsure and it turned out so well too.. plenty of torque yet seems fairly fast on top speed also.. should get around great out in the woods n on the trails
Power band is most likely over 7000 rpm so your test drive didn't show the potential... :-)
i had a honda magna, that engine loves to be revved, the mid to low rpm doesn't really do much sadly, more so since now its trying to push alot more weight then being on a motorcycle
Later in the video he said that he didn't want to be too loud in the buggy because of his neighbors. I really do want to see that engines potential though!
OMG bitch did you even watch the whole vid
Exactly!
Power band on a v4 street bike moter when they build that I want one. when its makeing the best power in the rpm range is what it is
Dude you should put some seat belts in there ! Drive safe. Awsome work
Have you synced the carbs? Really sounds like on is doing more than the other
Also if you install seatbelts and wear she protection you are less likely to have problems if and when you.get pulled over or when viewers write comments.
I like it and don't believe it has to have huge power to be enjoyable.
Looks good man. Great job. Good to see how it goes off road.
I seen that reach for the invisible reverse 8:54 haha but it looks stable, a few minor tweaks and it’ll be ready to rip 😎👍
Lime green. Watch your show all the time, good stuff.
You ,Red beard, Cars and Cameras and Grind hard need to get together at Busco Beach or something with your fast off-road buggies and cross karts and pilot
did you not see the video ?
Is grind hard even friends with them?
Grind hard and this guy are way better than those other two not gonna lie
Grind hard is on the West coast. Oregon or Idaho. We have NC and TN here.
I never said anything about who is better but they do all need to have a meet and race and stuff
So stoked bro ! You got it :)
Paint it orange, it will complement the blue shocks.
U build awesome machines, u do stuff I only wish I could do and figure out how to make! So just keep on doing what u do . The haters aren’t sending links to show anything that their building! I really look forward to your projects!🙂
If you want it fast think compact and light, not built like a TANK!
A lot of planned buggies like from Edge Products and Badlands weigh in at close to 1000lbs with an engine. The X2 from Edge is 1250lbs with a 1000cc bike engine.
Light Silver on top, dark dark silver on bottom. 2 tone plus makes the blue shocks pop FTW!
Swapout the motorcycle engine for a nice v8 engine w fuel injection, and with and option to switch between front wheel drive rear wheel or all wheel drive
Clear, but with a tint... Blue, smoke grey, purple, whatever you wish. Its been mentioned but gearing changes will have to be careful, your clutch will not love you long time if you get it geared to tall and or add taller tires. Its cool though and I'm glad your getting it finished up.
How about metallic silver maybe with a few colored highlighted parts
I second this
you have done a great job with this much better than the last one
Paint half of it matte black and the other half with bright blue!!
Or matte black the whole vehicle and do parts of it bright blue!
Love 2 c more of ur buggys ripping in the sand dunes 👍
You should try shifting it a bit later to get the best out of the engine
watch the video again this time open your ear and listen to his words ffs
Jack Tarran everyone is a pro
Yellow and black will look awesome in that beast (in my opinion).
Black and a shade of dark blue. And the license plate saying "hit hard". And maybe under glow?
Black and blue would be cool
Yes underglow!
Light purple with blue and black accessories. Looks good to me and looks to have enough power to have fun lol nice work
Black or gun metal.
Reinforce the frame or moving part.
Rebuild your engine.
Bigger tire.
Frickin awesome dude. Seat belts and eye protection
Needs reverse. This a big machine to just push around backwards
I think it’s a bit too late for that, he would have to do a complete redesign of the rear end to fit in a reverse box
@@MiniMoto0098 I agree to an extent. He could extent the rear-end out by a few inches to fit the box
Awesome video dude it`s nice to see it on the road test at last. I think it would look amazing painted orange plus i think it would contrast well with them big spring shocks you have on it too
Frame: BLACK , other accessories: YELLOW. :)
Finally got it on the Road, looks really good nice job man
Nooooo your steering is just soo unsatisfiying😭😭😭
That beauty looks and ran great bro, can not wait to see what she looks like off road.
So awesome! I wouldn’t be able to make something like this in a million years!
camouflage or gun metal green
add a roof piece to make it look more complete i know it adds a little extra weight, but look at some of the buggies out there in the world of youtubers. My son and I love your channel and enjoy the builds you make watching every step.
Just got my dad to watch your channel and he's enjoying it too.
Those roads look beautiful, wish we had more hills here in SC
Hard work always pays off, great job!
She's a beauty, love it. For the paint Midnight Purple
Main frame in black and suspension in blue or silver gearing is good for trail riding tires are fine bigger would slow you down more and add more stress to the engine unless you geared it lower badass build would love to have something like that keep up the good work and make more badass carts
I think you did a beautiful job, I mean really you made your own lathe how cool is that. I enjoy watching your videos
very nice work!!, from Argentina✌✌
Dude this thing is a step up for you. I can see she has some power. It's just a little heavy. Your building budget and better machines. Love the content
Looks a lot of fun. Well done man!
Light green with black details 💪

Nice job. That thing takes up a whole side of the road.
Chris a couple of suggestions , put a green neutral light on the dash it would help with 1st to second gear changes also a temp gauge as it is a bigger mass that the engine is pushing around good idea to keep an eye on the temp
close in the back of your gauge and switch cluster for waterproofing
Colour cobalt blue to match the shockies with Ferrari red highlights
Tony from Western Australia
You should be pretty proud of yourself regardless of the naysayers. That thing is pretty dang cool, not perfect, but pretty dang cool.
Good job👍
100 percent you should do a nice black with clear coat. It would look amazing with the black wheels
clear coating, it looks awesome
If you want power steering you can get an electric power steering module from a Yaris they are easy to modify to work on just about anything and it works directly on the steering shaft, it’s slow ish but it looks like it’s going to be fun off road nice work dude.
I think you can get a elec power steering convo pretty cheap and a steering damper might help too. Goes great perfect for off roading.
I think you dont need to change the sprockets yet. You might need to try changing e to bigger tires and testing it out first for clearing obstacles if your goin off road because you already have a longer vehicle. This build is getting better and I'm excited to see the progress of this project.
It's downright beautiful!!
It's soo cool..
I could see it with clear coat with blue and/or yellow details (like the shocks and the flag) OR matte black with the same details :)
Looks great man can't wait to see you open her up.
Id.love to see ya do a project with red beard and the guys from grindhard plumbing company. I bet ya would all come up with some crazy and fun. Love the channel man. Keep building. Although dont forget to use a big ole snowmobile engine for a project. I think thatd be easier to set up than a bike motor
That beautiful machine deserves a big ole K series with a turbo!
Man, even a cheap ass D series with a small, quick spooling turbo would be awesome in this thing. A K series would put it in low orbit lol
Been a nice journey watching this from a few pieces of tube steel into a full on buggy
That thing is sick! good job keep up the good work
Looks like a keeper, time for some color! Very nice work❤️🇺🇸❤️!!
You could use the mini green ATV to pull the buggy out of the shed instead of pushing it, but... dang it! you sold it!
Great work, you should paint it clear, the steel looks good as it is!
