Its new years day 2023, been going through old music all day. This one really brought back memories to me skating around with the homies making our mission getting Arizonas and two gallons of water to carry around to smoke n skate at a secluded place and blast this. Good fucking times
love this song and the good vibes it gives off !!! all three of these dudes are super talented i hope they do more songs together make a whole album !!! with Tim
Not sublime inspired, it's basically a Transplants song (a band that included Travis Barker and Tim Armstrong who are both involved in this song). Tim Armstrong was in a Ska band called Operation Ivy - you may have heard of them, they're one of the first Ska Punk bands and probably influenced Sublime. So, it might sound like Sublime but more likely, Sublime sound like this.
Yes it’s transplants inspired and there’s not many horns or brass so it’s not really ska it’s reggae punk rock surfer skate music if you want to consider it like sublime, however sky was before reggae back in the 60s the horns and brass instruments are very distinctive and loud. This is more punk reggae, especially sublime sublime’s, not really Ska
Wasn’t gonna say anything but actually transplants and I love them as well as I loved him Armstrong very very very very much. I’m gonna tell you right now. He was inspired by sublime Bradley Nowell for sublime in about 19 8283 where as operation ivy was formed a little bit before 1987 you know the rancid tune started in 87 ended in 89 they are slightly younger than Bradley would’ve been but you’re thinking of sublime with Rome so I understand completely do your sublime research and you’ll understand. I’m not any harm. I’m just saying if you really wanna get into it Tim Armstrong wrote Bradley son song Jakob Jacob castles Time traveler, as well as he is a sister who is sister to epitaph, which is hellcat, but epitaph is funding skunk records that was founded by Bradley and Miles from slightly stoopid I believe but I do know Bradley sorry skunk records and ended when he signed, and he also ended the career and his life somehow in the mix of it but if anything, Tim looked up to Bradley, but ska/puk punk//regea started long before bands. This was the third wave so you gotta look into first wave and secondly, before you can say anything.

i think it look more like skinhead reggae, maybe rocksteady because of the lyrics quit aggressive, also the rythme and those people reminds me of punk/skinhead subculture. (of course it's not the only influence but i don't really see hip hop in this )
The director, "hey make sure you get that guy with the Mohawk in as many shots as possible so the people know that this is punk. Wait is that actual blood!? Zoom in, ZOOM IN!!! Dope song!

I'd throw you a log
With, both of my knees
Both of my knees, on the ground
