about time a radio that has it shack in a box. my friend at hro spoke to me about match yimr and he said that a new rig with hf vhf uhf and hes tight . i will get one
While I look forward to a new radio sometimes I will balk at overcomplicated electronics. It may look cool but living in Texas with the heat I would worry about overheating with all the components. It is just me though.
I'm a microwave guy... Why name a radio after the crypto exchange scam? Grrrr. Nice fancy 3-D display, but I really need a more no-nonsense waterfall display. It would really be nice to have a programmable offset for transverter use. I would love to read the operating frequency at 1296, 2304, 5760, and 10386 for example. I'm sure QO-100 ops would love the same for 2.4GHz. An overlay for the band edge markers would be awesome. I hope the CW and SSB filters are awesome as always. What's on the rear panel? I hope they learned something from the FT817/818 and have an Anderson Powerpole rather than that silly DC connector. Hopefully they've moved into the 21rst century and have included a built-in USB-c interface for interfacing with tablets and laptops for CAT and DATA. I hate DIN connectors that fall out.
Very interesting. Does 6 watts. Is that technically still QRP? I thought that was max 5watts. I might get myself one of these in the future. Also, what I’m really looking forward to is the new ICOM radio that’s going to be announced in the next 24 hours at the Tokyo Ham Fest. So much great stuff coming out. Exciting to be a Ham. 73 my man.
Quite sure you can turn it down if required. What is disappointing that it hasn't been designed for 20W output with external power, say with a li-po at 15.2v It's been done with the FX4CR in a much smaller package. Come on Yaesu, please progress the narrative.
Thank you for smashing that like button, your great comments, and incredible support !
It's an intriguing looking radio. I'll be keeping my eye on this one for portable/field use.
Thank you for your comment.

I really like the feature set. Thank you for your comment.
It should do more watts to compete with the icom 7100.
I think they want this to compete with the IC-705. Thank you.

Only 10W? What's the point?
It's a QRP rig made to compete with the IC-705. This is a replacement for the FT-817, FT-8181 which ran 6 watts.
Anyone willing to take a guess at price?
My guess is around $1300 - same as the IC-705.

This is Yaesus's answer to the IC-705. I really like the feature set. Excited about what all the Icom x-60 will entail. 73's back at you !

@@eddthirty4065 the Icom IC-705 does 10w max, I think.
@@eddthirty4065 Than you for your comment.
QRP is generally considered 5 watts or less on CW and up to 10 watts PEP output on SSB.
Your videos are amazing. I really like it. I am a new subscriber to your channel. Can I talk with you?
